Loved working with Jimmie for our wedding reception. He kept the dance floor full all night. We wanted our guests to have a good time, and he helped us achieve this. Good variety of music played throughout the night. Would recommend in the future.

We could not be happier with Exceptional Receptions for our wedding day! Jimmy was always responsive, professional and very easy to work with. We planned our wedding from another state and truly appreciated Jimmy's responsiveness and attention to details. He listened to our requests and gave excellent suggestions. A total pro! We got multiple compliments on the music and lighting, and the photo booth was a huge hit with our guests. Jimmy helped make our day smooth and stress free. We cannot recommend Exceptional Receptions enough!

Jimmie is seriously THE. BEST. I don't usually take the time to leave reviews on sites but am writing one because he was so great and because I know how helpful reviews were in our wedding planning process. My now husband and I carefully selected every song for every moment of our wedding day and Jimmie did a spectacular job making cuts/mixes of everything and making each moment and its music come to life. He also just had super great service throughout the process. He was extremely responsive, had a meeting and several phone calls with us at times that suited us, etc. As a young engaged couple we had no clue how you're really supposed to structure anything about a wedding day and Jimmie helped us organize and walk through everything about the timeline, his recommendations, was very honest with us about what to do and not do, etc. It was SUPER helpful as we didn't have an actual wedding planner, and I always felt less stressed out after talking to Jimmie and hearing his thoughts. He also used a format that we preferred for our (very specific) song selections (and list of all the songs we hate ha) and was just overall super accommodating and helpful. Last but not least, the dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT thanks to his mix of songs, AND - and I still don't even know how he did this - he made this beautiful mix of our vows overlaid onto a favorite song of ours (our second pick for a first dance song) that he played toward the end as a surprise. It was SO special and I'll remember that moment, along with all of the other dancing and fun, forever. Thank you Jimmie!!

Jimmy was a great D.J. The moment the dance floor opened up all of our guests were dancing and they didn't stop! Jimmy does a great job recognizing what gets your guests moving and will quickly change a song if your guests start leaving the dance floor. Only once a song came on that disinterested our guests and he mixed in a song that turned everybody around and headed back to the dance floor. Jimmy personally doesnt do much talking or entertaining he simply lets the music do it's job!

Everyone loved the Magic Mirror. I got a ton of complements on it and Jimmie was lovely to work with. Even better was getting all those additional pictures of people enjoying our wedding day!
