I will be upfront: I am not the easiest bride. I am type A, I had opinions about everything, and by the time I hired Kiara and Mariela about six months out, I had an enormous number of details scattered in a hundred different places. They took all of it and pulled it into something that actually made sense.

We got married in Old San Juan in September 2026 with 65 guests, planning from Washington DC, with a ceremony at one location and a reception at another. We hired Etéreo as our month of coordinators, and I want to be clear about that because what they gave us went well past that scope.

Every meeting we had was useful and organized. They use a planning app where all the logistics and the full timeline live in one place, so instead of me digging through months of email threads, everything had a home and I always knew exactly where things stood. They took over communication with all of our other vendors, which lifted an entire category of stress off me.

And then there is the part that is not in any contract. They let me ship things to their house, which anyone planning a wedding from off island knows is an enormous problem solved. When I arrived in Puerto Rico, they met with me to hand over everything I had sent ahead. They went above and beyond, repeatedly, without ever being asked.

The real test came on the day. It rained, and our outdoor ceremony had to move to the indoor backup at the last minute. That is the scenario every couple quietly dreads. We did not feel it happen. No panicked phone call, no decision thrown at us, no scramble. They handled it and the ceremony was still beautiful, and most of our guests assumed it had always been the plan.

That is the whole point of hiring a coordination team, and it is what I am most grateful for. We got to be present at our own wedding. We were not managing logistics, not chasing vendors, not watching the clock. We were with our guests, which is the only thing we actually wanted.

Kiara was everywhere she needed to be all night, staying on top of things we never saw and never had to think about. She also kept me fed and hydrated all day, which sounds like a small thing until you are hours into your own wedding and realize you have not eaten or had water since morning. Somebody was thinking about it for me.

More than anything, they made me feel like they had it, through and through. That feeling is the entire product.

My husband and I knew we wanted a special celebration for our wedding that truly represented us and the people we love, but we didn’t have a clear vision for how to bring it all together. Mariela was the best wedding planner we could’ve wished for. From day one we connected personally and she understood our vision. She’s very attentive, organized and super easy going. We loved that she uses aisle planner, a one stop shop for all info of our wedding. All vendors she recommended were aligned with our budget, vision and even on a personal level we connected with all of them. On wedding day, we were not anxious or stressed at all since we were 100% comfortable knowing that Mariela and her team had everything under control. Mariela was amazing from start to finish, once we started talking with her we knew that she was going to plan our wedding and we called her in march and our wedding was in august and she never hesitated and told us that it was possible. Mariela is attentive, detailed, professional, honest, and incredibly responsive (and if she couldn't respond she would immediately let us know). The vendors that work with her have SO much respect for her and what she does for her clients. From the very beginning, Mariela was on top of everything! If we wanted it, she found a way to make it happen. If she didn't believe it would work, or had better ideas she was quick to tell us! I trusted Mariela completely and not once did she let us down.
We had a long engagement with some bumps along the way. I truly believe my wedding would not have been what it was if we didn't have Mariela on our side. In the beginning, something really important fell through for us. Mariela was right there calming me down, talking to who she knew, and immediately fixed someone else's mistake which turned everything around for us. During the actual day, Mariela was there covering any issues or hiccups with grace and professionalism, going above and beyond what she was even required to do. Her level of dedication goes beyond just a "job". She cares so deeply about her clients and her work and it shows. I could go on and on about my experience, but I will never be able to accurately explain the feeling of knowing everything will work out because of her. The day was perfect precisely because we had Mariela with us, and we will spend the rest of our lives singing her praise.

As a queer Puerto Rican couple planning one of the most meaningful days of our lives, we were met with warmth, care, and a level of thoughtfulness that left us in awe.
