Hiring Emily was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and we cannot say enough good things about her! We knew that we wanted a more artsy, moody style than typical wedding photography tends to be, and from the moment a friend recommended her, we knew that she had the perfect blend of experience and creativity that we were looking for. She was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and from our first meeting to our engagement shoot to our wedding day it felt as if we had a supportive friend there. She was quick to respond to messages, open to suggestions we had for style or posing while offering her own based on her wealth of experience, and genuinely an awesome person to be around. My husband and I had never had professional photos taken before our engagement shoot with her, and she made us feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. On our wedding day, she noticed that my bouquet was dripping water onto the front of my dress right before we took bridal party photos and she ran up to literally soak the water up with her blazer, lol. She and her second shooter, Jacob, were both amazing to work with; we cannot recommend her enough and are already looking forward to hiring her for any anniversary shoots!

My wedding was total chaos from the start with two entire venue changes, one being two days before the wedding. Emily handled it with grace and ease and managed to create beauty out of total chaos. She made me and my husband, very un-photographic people, look beautiful and I will be recommending her until the day I die. Book her to do your wedding, you won’t regret it!

Working with Emily Swan was an incredible experience from the moment I reached out to her. She was recommended through a friend and I saw that she had her own taste and style, a portfolio of experience, and a very soft and patient approach to people. She was available and approachable. She doesn't bombard with suggestions that she feels are best, like you get when you go to a new hair salon. (LOL) I felt that she was respectful towards her own business, establishing a clear protocol, transparent process, and path to getting prepped for the big day. At the same time, it seemed like we had a friend there, someone who wasn't there because they had to, but really felt excited to capture our moments. She was kind enough to touch up our photos until she got them just the way we love them. Love her and recommend her highly!

I was on an emotional roller coaster. My future husband was unexpectedly deploying, our wedding plans went from one year out to one month out. Large wedding, to micro.

I frantically went on a Facebook group page asking for someone affordable, industrial and last minute. Little did I know I would find the best part of my wedding day (besides saying “I do” ). Emily worked me in, came full force and has an eye for great shots in literally any space shes at. I was in tears of joy just a couple of weeks later after getting my photos. Perfect band aid for missing my soldier as he left shortly after our wedding.

Here we are 6 months into a year long deployment and I can’t wait to use her for home coming photos.
