I’m not sure which was better—the cake or the experience. The customer service was exceptional, turn around time was quick, appearance was flawless, and the price was more than reasonable. The cake was so light and fresh it was hard to stop eating it. It was clear from the taste, appearance, and service that Myra made our cake with love for a very special day. I would trust all of my special moments to Designs in Sugar!

My mom hates wedding cake, but she loved Kay Bakery. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's one of the oldest bakeries in Memphis and the cake was delicious. Everyone kept telling me how good it was. I ranked them a 3/5 for quality though because they messed up the layers and instead of doing vanilla where we supposed to cut, they did chocolate (we had alternating chocolate and vanilla). So be sure to go over with them multiple times! They will also give you a discount if you get your groom's cake from them. We did a full sheet cake and it was $40. They do whipped and butter creme. I took some leftover cake to a party a week after the wedding that had been frozen. Everyone loved it!

My groom and I wanted to have a very small wedding cake and then have cupcakes for the reception for our guests. We ordered a 6 inch capote round cake to be frozen for our first anniversary as well as a eight inch rosette cake (in capote as well) that we used for our wedding cake. We also go several dozen mini cupcakes for the reception. The staff was very friendly and when I asked that they wrap the 6 inch cake in saran wrap for our first anniversary, they were completely fine with that and made special instructions on the order. When we needed extra mini cupcakes, they were so sweet and helpful and made sure we had enough for all of our guests. The cake was also delicious! My husband and I only got one bit from when we cut the cake and that was it! The guests were raving about the cake and how good it was! Muddy's is a great place to get your cake if you want something simple and elegant for your wedding.
