About Us

Cakes by Mom and Me LLC is fully licensed and

certified by the Arkansas State Health Department.

We have been in business since 2001. Our cakes

were voted "West Memphis Best Desserts" at both the

2008 and 2009 Taste of the Town. Our decorators

have received training from many renowned cake

decorators, such as Colette Peters, Nicolas Lodge,

Bronwen Webber, Earlene Moore, and Glenda

Galvez.

In January 2010, we had the honor of making the

official cake for Elvis Presley's 75th Birthday. We

also were contestants in a "Cake Off" held at the

Southern Home and Garden Expo. The Cake Off was

emceed by Duff Goldman "Ace of Cakes" from the

Food Network. Our cake was chosen as the overall

winner.

Pam ("Mom") has over thirty years of decorating

experience. After taking early retirement from a

major candy manufacturer (think Kisses!), she

began devoting more time to the art. In addition to

having taught beginner classes locally, she also has

developed her own skills by enrolling in advanced

courses offered through the Confectionary Artists of

Arkansas.

Lori ("Me") is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist

University and the mother of two very active

daughters. She has years of experience watching

Mom decorate cakes, but only gained a personal

interest in the art in 2001. Her cakes won "Best of

Show" at the Mid-South Fair in 2001 and 2002. Lori

especially enjoys working with fondant and gum

paste and is the Head Designer for Cakes by Mom

and Me .
