Carly was so helpful in the early days of planning with giving us vendor recommendations that fit our vision and budget to help get our planning started. We then started working with our lead planner, Hannah, about 8 months out, and she was truly incredible. Hannah not only kept everything on track and organized down to the tiniest details, but she had really great ideas to help us optimize the use of our venue and add little touches that made our wedding feel more special. When our venue coordinator changed only a month away from our wedding, Hannah went above and beyond in advocating for us with them and making sure nothing slipped through the cracks with their staff transition.
We also fully leaned on Hannah for the execution of all the decor, especially with a relatively complicated cultural ceremony set up, and she did a fantastic job. Our mantra when we were stressing over details became 'it's all going to be great, Hannah's got it covered', and she really did - everything went so smoothly and we are so glad we got to work with her and Carly!

We were grateful to have found Emerald Engagements to be our wedding coordinator and Carly for design services! We opted for the partial planning package because we had some things under control, but I am so grateful that Carly and Grace were on our team to help guide us through all the other things! We felt that the travel fees for our venue (2 hours outside of Seattle) were reasonable and Grace was incredible as our day-of coordinator. There was never a moment on the day-of of the wedding that I was worried about things because I knew they were in good hands and in a well throughout and prepared plan and timeline. When my fiancée and I started planning our wedding, I knew having a wedding planner was my top priority, so I spent a ton of time trying to find the best. I went through, Yelp, The Knot, Wedding Wire and just about every list I could. I compiled a list of all of the planners and ranked them by rating/recommendation. Then I went to their websites for pricing information and ranked them again by price and rating. I spent days sifting through all of these planners. Then I sent emails to 5 of them asking for information/to set up a call. I chose the 3 that responded the fastest and my fiancée (now wife) and I set up a time to talk with them. Carly at Emerald Engagements was on the short list and the fastest to reply. Carly worked with us to understand what services we actually needed/wanted and actually made us feel at ease getting a different, less hands on, package than we thought we needed. Right from the start Carly was looking out for us and that is a trend that carried through the entire time we worked with her. Anytime we sent her an email we got a reply quickly (weekends she would sometimes reply, but always by first thing Monday which is perfectly acceptable). We don't have a great eye for design, but we had a vision, and Carly really helped my wife bring what she wanted to life. When it came to picking vendors Carly went out and found us options based on my wife's Pinterest board. Sometimes my wife didn't like any of the options, would give feedback on why, and then Carly would suggest new ones. We ended up with the best vendors thanks to Carly. Though a superstar throughout the entire planning process, her skills really shined the final weeks before the wedding when all of the details were coming together. One week before our wedding, we decided, based on seating groups, we really needed an additional dinner table and she immediately jumped on the task. Within a day she sent us quotes and helped get our order adjusted right away. On the day of the wedding I arrived around 11am with my groomsmen and everything was in full swing. Carly and one of her employees were there and again, everything was taken care of and we didn't have anything to worry about. Carly had created a detailed timeline and wrangled all of the vendors. She just told us what was next on the timeline and where we needed to be! Throughout the day itself she was running the show and it all went flawlessly. While we were being bombarded with pictures and distractions Carly was constantly checking in on us and asking if we needed anything. On the day of the wedding you can't go anywhere or do anything without being mobbed or pulled away by someone and Carly is the only reason I had anything to eat or drink the whole time. She was constantly checking in on us and she really made the day go smoothly and enjoyable. A wedding planner is a significant investment, but knowing what I know now, it was worth every penny. Carly was a professional the entire time and it was an absolute pleasure to get to know her.

Carly was absolutely amazing. Hire her! Seriously, you won't regret it. We made a spreadsheet comparing 12 different wedding planners in the Seattle area, interviewed 3 of them, and Carly won in all categories. She was sharp, knew the wedding business, and had all the contacts to be able to get us amazing vendors for our wedding. She *made* our wedding weekend! She coordinated our Friday Welcome Party, Saturday Wedding, and Sunday Fun Day event. She thought of questions to ask vendors that I would have never dreamed to ask. Just one of many examples: the venue for Friday night told us that the cups they used were plastic. OK right? NO. Carly asked for a picture and they were absolutely hideous. We were able to order nicer cups in time for the event. Throughout the entire planning process, Carly was steps ahead, anticipating questions and resolving things before I even needed to ask. I am so glad we hired Carly and I will highly recommend her to anyone that asks.

I booked Carly with her wedding management package. To be honest, I was hesitant to book a planner at first because of the cost, but from our first consultation, I could tell that Carly knew what she was doing. With the amount of stress we were going through, we knew we had to book her to help us. Right off the bat, she sent us her resources that helped guide us through our planning process. She was always quick to respond to my emails and gave me advice and suggestions whenever I needed it. When things started to pick up on the month of, we were in constant communication and she brought up so many things that I didn't even think about. The wedding day went by so smoothly as she and her team took care of everything. We only had to get ready and show up! She even made sure I had a drink in my hand when I was busy chatting with guests! She's so organized and attentive and did everything she could to make sure we had nothing to worry about. We hired Carly & Emerald Engagements as our day-of-coordinators for our wedding day & rehearsal dinner. They did an absolutely phenomenal job from our first email exchange through our entire wedding day.

My (then) fiancé and I reached out to Carly roughly 4 months before our wedding*(context at the end), where she had been recommended to us by another vendor. She quickly set up a chat with us to learn where we were in the wedding process and share advice on next steps. Carly then set us up with some fantastic resources such as Google Sheets to organize our vendor list & day-of timeline.

About a month before the wedding, Carly reached out to all of our vendors to finalize a timeline for both our rehearsal event and wedding day. She was super responsive on any questions we had and let us know if anything came up that needed our attention.

For our rehearsal & wedding days, Carly was on-site early to make sure things ran smoothly, and if any issues came up during the day, we were blissfully unaware. Carly & Emerald Engagements even helped fix my bustle when it broke before my husband's & my first dance.

We actually were Carly’s first clients that signed a contract with her way back before Covid was a thing. I knew I needed a day of coordinator but I got so much more than I expected or thought I needed. Carly went above and beyond to not only help me with my details of making sure my vision came together but also made our day run so smoothly. We had one big hiccup on our day (the whole block lost power) and she did everything in her power to help get things on track and making sure we started as close to on time as possible. She helped me take my veil off after the ceremony, always made sure I had a drink in my hand and when I needed a minute to take a breathe she was there making sure I was okay. Carly is AMAZING! I hired her as a day of coordinator but she started helping me before the big day.
