We were grateful to have found Emerald Engagements to be our wedding coordinator and Carly for design services! We opted for the partial planning package because we had some things under control, but I am so grateful that Carly and Grace were on our team to help guide us through all the other things! Carly helped us find our Floral, Rental, Hair and Makeup, and DJ vendors, all of whom were incredible! Carly and her team were impressively fast on responding to all our emails and questions and overall provided us with exceptional tools, resources, and advice to plan our wedding, which was especially helpful as we were not local. Her online planning portal helped us track our budget, timeline, and to-do list all in one location. We are grateful for the video calls we had with Carly and Grace, as they were effective to get to know one another and focus on open tasks and upcoming milestones or decisions. We felt that the travel fees for our venue (2 hours outside of Seattle) were reasonable and Grace was incredible as our day-of coordinator. There was never a moment on the day-of of the wedding that I was worried about things because I knew they were in good hands and in a well throughout and prepared plan and timeline. Thank you to Carly and team for helping our celebration become a reality! -

When my fiancée and I started planning our wedding, I knew having a wedding planner was my top priority, so I spent a ton of time trying to find the best. I went through, Yelp, The Knot, Wedding Wire and just about every list I could. I compiled a list of all of the planners and ranked them by rating/recommendation. Then I went to their websites for pricing information and ranked them again by price and rating. I spent days sifting through all of these planners. Then I sent emails to 5 of them asking for information/to set up a call. I chose the 3 that responded the fastest and my fiancée (now wife) and I set up a time to talk with them. Carly at Emerald Engagements was on the short list and the fastest to reply. Carly worked with us to understand what services we actually needed/wanted and actually made us feel at ease getting a different, less hands on, package than we thought we needed. Right from the start Carly was looking out for us and that is a trend that carried through the entire time we worked with her. Anytime we sent her an email we got a reply quickly (weekends she would sometimes reply, but always by first thing Monday which is perfectly acceptable). We don't have a great eye for design, but we had a vision, and Carly really helped my wife bring what she wanted to life. When it came to picking vendors Carly went out and found us options based on my wife's Pinterest board. Sometimes my wife didn't like any of the options, would give feedback on why, and then Carly would suggest new ones. We ended up with the best vendors thanks to Carly. Though a superstar throughout the entire planning process, her skills really shined the final weeks before the wedding when all of the details were coming together. One week before our wedding, we decided, based on seating groups, we really needed an additional dinner table and she immediately jumped on the task. Within a day she sent us quotes and helped get our order adjusted right away. On the day of the wedding I arrived around 11am with my groomsmen and everything was in full swing. Carly and one of her employees were there and again, everything was taken care of and we didn't have anything to worry about. Carly had created a detailed timeline and wrangled all of the vendors. She just told us what was next on the timeline and where we needed to be! Throughout the day itself she was running the show and it all went flawlessly. While we were being bombarded with pictures and distractions Carly was constantly checking in on us and asking if we needed anything. On the day of the wedding you can't go anywhere or do anything without being mobbed or pulled away by someone and Carly is the only reason I had anything to eat or drink the whole time. She was constantly checking in on us and she really made the day go smoothly and enjoyable. A wedding planner is a significant investment, but knowing what I know now, it was worth every penny. Carly was a professional the entire time and it was an absolute pleasure to get to know her. -

Carly was absolutely amazing. Hire her! Seriously, you won't regret it. We made a spreadsheet comparing 12 different wedding planners in the Seattle area, interviewed 3 of them, and Carly won in all categories. She was sharp, knew the wedding business, and had all the contacts to be able to get us amazing vendors for our wedding. She *made* our wedding weekend! She coordinated our Friday Welcome Party, Saturday Wedding, and Sunday Fun Day event. She thought of questions to ask vendors that I would have never dreamed to ask. Just one of many examples: the venue for Friday night told us that the cups they used were plastic. OK right? NO. Carly asked for a picture and they were absolutely hideous. We were able to order nicer cups in time for the event. Throughout the entire planning process, Carly was steps ahead, anticipating questions and resolving things before I even needed to ask. I am so glad we hired Carly and I will highly recommend her to anyone that asks. -

I booked Carly with her wedding management package. To be honest, I was hesitant to book a planner at first because of the cost, but from our first consultation, I could tell that Carly knew what she was doing. With the amount of stress we were going through, we knew we had to book her to help us. Right off the bat, she sent us her resources that helped guide us through our planning process. She was always quick to respond to my emails and gave me advice and suggestions whenever I needed it. When things started to pick up on the month of, we were in constant communication and she brought up so many things that I didn't even think about. The wedding day went by so smoothly as she and her team took care of everything. We only had to get ready and show up! She even made sure I had a drink in my hand when I was busy chatting with guests! She's so organized and attentive and did everything she could to make sure we had nothing to worry about. We had such a memorable night and we were so happy that Carly was there with us that day. Thank you Carly for being such an amazing coordinator! -

We hired Carly & Emerald Engagements as our day-of-coordinators for our wedding day & rehearsal dinner. They did an absolutely phenomenal job from our first email exchange through our entire wedding day.
My (then) fiancé and I reached out to Carly roughly 4 months before our wedding*(context at the end), where she had been recommended to us by another vendor. She quickly set up a chat with us to learn where we were in the wedding process and share advice on next steps. Carly then set us up with some fantastic resources such as Google Sheets to organize our vendor list & day-of timeline.
About a month before the wedding, Carly reached out to all of our vendors to finalize a timeline for both our rehearsal event and wedding day. She was super responsive on any questions we had and let us know if anything came up that needed our attention.
For our rehearsal & wedding days, Carly was on-site early to make sure things ran smoothly, and if any issues came up during the day, we were blissfully unaware. Carly & Emerald Engagements even helped fix my bustle when it broke before my husband's & my first dance.
Thank you, Carly & Emerald Engagements for giving us a wonderful wedding wedding weekend! If I could change anything about the process, I would have hired Carly & Emerald Engagements as full-service coordinators right from the start; the team does an amazing job of making wedding dreams come true.
* - Context for our timing: Our original reception venue came with a day of coordinator but the venue decided they could no longer host our reception; as part of the settlement, we decided to not keep our original day of coordinator... and looking back, I wish we had hired Emerald Engagements from the start! -

My now-husband and I live in Chicago and planned a Seattle micro wedding in 4 months. I know. Carly made it possible. On our big day, we had nothing to worry about, we left it in her hands and we got to enjoy the moment. Carly was highly responsive, prompt, and professional. If I were to do it all again, I would change nothing. -

Professional and Personable!
Carly is AMAZING! I hired her as a day of coordinator but she started helping me before the big day. She made the whole process so smooth and if anything came up or I had questions she was extremely responsive! All of my guests say it was the smoothest wedding they’ve ever been to and I think I owe a lot of that to Carly and her team! If you want a successful wedding or event and no worries, HIRE HER. You won’t regret it! -

Carly was responsive and very informative from our very first conversation. She's very personable, easy to talk to and most importantly made me feel at ease for our wedding day details. For someone as detail oriented as I am, Carly made sure all my ideas and concerns were heard and met. For everything I needed help with, she was there with the answers! The service we chose included one-on-one's and a rehearsal, which I highly recommend. Having her help with timeline, coordinating vendors, and set-up and clean-up was a life saver.
On our wedding day, Carly had an amazing team who took care of everything! We felt like guests at our own wedding, and I could count on them to make our day run smoothly and make our vision come to light. Overall, the Emerald Engagements team are there from start to finish to make your day so special and stress-free. Even the day-of, she would feed us tips and pointers and I felt taken care of. I found my unique microwedding/elopement venue only 3.5 weeks before my desired wedding date. I quickly hired Carly, as she had previous experience working at the location & was recommended by the venue staff. In that short amount of time, I transformed my original bare-bones hotel room elopement into a more elaborate event in a forest which included a ceremony, plated dinner and a movie screening among the stars, and Carly was there to help me every step of the way with all of my last-minute changes and ideas. Her vendor recommendations were great! On my wedding day, I was able to sit back and relax knowing my wedding was in good hands. We really couldn't have pulled it off without her! -

Carly aka Emerald Engagements is excellent at what they do and I highly recommend. My fiancé and I began planning a micro-wedding during Covid-19, and thankfully we found Carly to assist. It was important to us that my father be present for the day. Normally, we would have delayed until the pandemic has passed, but given my father's age that was not an option. Within a month's time Carly assisted us with finding a venue, photographer, florist, etc. No matter how many questions or concerns we had Carly was quick to find an answer or a solution. Planning a wedding is stressful enough and even more so during a pandemic. Carly was thoughtful, responsive, and helped us every step of the way. Having her onboard allowed us to relax and enjoy our day. I would gladly plan another wedding (ha, ha!) if knew I'd be working with Carly again. -

We hired Carly as our day-of-coordinator, and she really was amazing. My partner had been a bit skeptical about spending the money to hire a coordinator, but from the time of our final meeting a couple weeks before the wedding until the end of our wedding (and really, the day after) she totally earned every single dollar we paid. Our wedding was perhaps on the simpler side of things (limited decorations, just over 100 guests, not too many of the traditional events, only a couple vendors) but I was still unsure about how we’d pull it together, never having done anything like this before (as most haven’t). She was reassuring, and also down to earth about asking all the right questions and making suggestions on how to handle things we were unsure about. The most important thing was that on the day of, we were able to truly trust that she would make all the setup and prep happen, smooth over any issues, etc so that we could focus on other things, like enjoying our wedding day. I think it speaks to her effectiveness that I really barely even saw her on the day of, other than when she was handing us drinks or food, or telling us where we needed to be. Our parents, who worked with her more on setup and takedown, said that she was amazingly hard working the entire time, organized, and efficient. They were all charmed with her - and it’s worth mentioning that she truly is a kind and funny person. She’s relatively new to the Seattle wedding scene, but I’m excited for her career to really take off. Hire her while you still can!Emerald Engagements's reply:
