As a wedding photographer, I don't often write reviews for other vendors, but if I do, it's because I believe that the vendor experience gives a novel perspective on what it feels like to work with a planner closely. And when it comes to Danielle of Amethyst Events, I absolutely had to share my thoughts.

I had the pleasure of working with Danielle for the first time in the summer of 2023, and it happened to be one of the most unique weddings of my entire career. Our couple, L&C, wanted to celebrate their love in a way that was true to their adventurous nature, and Danielle made it all possible. From getting married on standup paddleboards in South Lake Union to having a larger reception at Sole Repair, Danielle not only encouraged L&C to stay true to themselves but also had the magic and means to execute their vision flawlessly.

What I loved most about working with Danielle was her unwavering commitment to making our couple’s vision real and just as vibrant as they imagined. She never tried to fit their wedding into a predetermined box; instead, she listened to their needs and transformed them into reality (with a little touch of her sparkledust). There was never a ‘checklist’ of things that they had to do at their wedding: she truly attended to how they wanted to spend their wedding day.

Her organization and communication leading up to the day were impeccable, and she lent a unique perspective on tiny logistical things I would have never known to pay attention to!

On the day of the wedding, Danielle was there from start to finish, orchestrating every moment with her inherent warmth, grace, and precision. She went above and beyond, putting up signs around the park so L&C's family knew where to go, setting up chairs, and even finding a mic situation that worked on the water. Her hard work culminated in one of the most ethereal experiences for every guest and passerby alike. It felt like a dream to watch L&C emerge from the distance on the water, with the city skyscrapers behind them.

But Danielle's dedication didn't stop there. She joined us for the bride and groom portraits, after L&C changed out of their 'ceremony on the water' attire and into their 'getting married' outfits. I've never had a planner look out for the little details during portrait hour, but Danielle was their biggest cheerleader (and mine)!

The reception at Sole Repair felt seamless from start to finish, thanks to Danielle's leadership skills and encouragement; the venue was thoughtfully decorated in what felt like a blink of an eye.

Working with Danielle was an absolute joy, and it was inspiring to see her shine in her element. She truly embodies what it means to be an exceptional wedding planner, and her love for her work ensures that every client receives the same level of dedication.

Danielle was everything and more for us and our wedding. We only hired her as a day-of coordinator but she went so far above and beyond in helping guide and prepare us for our wedding (e.g., we met multiple times before the wedding to make sure we were doing everything that we needed in a timely manner). She was such a pleasure to work with, super detail oriented, and constantly giving us helpful advice. She kept everything on track the day of our wedding and made it so that we truly got to enjoy every minute and not worry about any logistics, hiccups or really anything! We cannot recommend Danielle enough. 

Danielle was incredibly helpful in helping us not only on the day of the event, but also in helping us make sure we felt organized in the weeks before. She had knowledge of the venue and the typical wedding process and was easy to work with throughout. In the end, our wedding day went incredibly smoothly and we could not have been happier!

Danielle at Amethyst Events was our day-of coordinator when we got married in June 2019. I had never been to a wedding before my own so I needed plenty of guidance navigating the day. Danielle was very kind and helpful the whole time we worked with her. She helped us get ready, arranged decorations, and coordinated with our other vendors. She kept the whole event moving along on schedule. I am very glad we enlisted her help.

Danielle was incredible to work with from Day 1. Her month of coordination is above and beyond expectation and feels more like total event preparation. She helped us stay on track, recommended the best vendors to work with, and made our day of timeline seamless. I highly recommend Danielle to make any couple's special day come to life. Truly an amazing experience.

Deciding to book planning with Danielle was the best decision - it took so much stress off our shoulders to know that everything was handled so efficiently. My wife and I were able to just follow along with her plan on the day of the wedding, without worrying about timing and vendor coordination.

She managed to coordinate SO many things into the space - a DJ, audio phone book, photo booth, neon signage, candles, and more. Many of these things had to move from point A to point B at different times in the wedding, and I didn't have a single worry that it wouldn't happen.

Danielle was reliable, communicative, professional, and a delight to work with.

The Sound Originals Photo & Video team recently captured a wedding beautifully planned by Danielle, and we cannot express how much of a joy she was to work beside. It is always such a privilege to work with someone who is truly the best in the business. Our couple's day was expertly coordinated and everything was flawless. As a photo/video team, it is such a relief to participate in an event like this. You could tell our sweet couple felt the same way! Danielle made their special day stress-free with her awesome communication, professionalism, and kindness. We so look forward to our next event with Amethyst Events! We love love love them!

Danielle is an excellent vendor. Full disclosure: I met her when she was planning her own event and she hired my company for her florals. Since then, I have watched her development as a wedding professional and she has worked on many events with myself and others in the local wedding community for the past six years. Danielle was even the on site event coordinator for a popular Seattle venue! She has the amazing ability to keep you on track without stressing you out, she sees the big picture of the event and is able to think about details ahead of time to eliminate last minute issues. Danielle is not just a consummate professional, she is a really lovely person. I truly cannot say enough about her as a person and as a wedding planner. I have seen her plan and execute lots of different types of events as well so she is definitely a good resource for parties, vow renewals, baby showers etc..

My then finance and I originally hired Danielle for our 2020 wedding which didn’t take place due to COVID. We later held a reception party which we re-hired her for and got to experience her expertise from start to finish. She initially impressed us not only by her experience and great communication, but also by immediately spotting a budget flaw from the venue and saved us over $1200 on the bar portion. Her previous experience on the venue side of event planning was so valuable. She provided excellent timelines and updates, had amazing suggestions, and asked thoughtful and thorough questions of things we’d never think of. In addition, she was very caring and detailed about our wants! The reception party day went smoothly with her managing the party agenda forward and working closely with the venue point of contact. We also were able to get fun activity ideas from her which our guests raved about! Danielle is an excellent event planner and a great person to work with, my husband and I highly recommended Danielle!
