Facilities and Capacity
Embers Restaurant and Speakeasy is located in the Volz Building, a historic Lockport property that had previously been unoccupied after a fire destroyed its interior. In 2015, through a determined community effort, it was fully renovated and transformed into a family restaurant with a classic 1920’s speakeasy bar aesthetic. It features a number of event spaces to choose from for hosting your special day, depending on your requirements and the size of your guest list. Outdoor ceremonies can take place on the expansive patio, which features dazzling views of downtown Lockport. Receptions can be held in the Embers Banquet hall, an expansive space that occupies the entire second floor of the building. Offering five separate rooms, a full-service bar, and a rooftop patio with stunning views, it can accommodate up to 200 guests in total. Rehearsal dinners of up to 25 attendees can take place in The Board Room, an intimate dining room with a brick-wall interior and soft lighting.
The dedicated service staff at Embers Restaurant and Speakeasy are ready to make planning your wedding a seamless and enjoyable experience. Led by events director Theresa Wolf, they offer a range of services to assist you in bringing your vision for your special day to life. They will arrange their spaces to fit your requirements and will provide setup and cleanup so that you can enjoy your celebration to the fullest.
A full catering team is ready to assist you in crafting the perfect dining menu for your wedding. Specializing in classic American dishes, they offer an enticing array of appetizers, entrees, and desserts, each prepared to look as good as it tastes. Embers was a great location for our rehearsal dinner. We had a private room on the second floor, and all was ready for us with tables clothes, silverware, and a bartender. We had our guests order from the menu (rather than a buffet), and all loved the food, the drinks, and the service. Great location, great ambiance, and wonderful service.Sent on 12/27/2016

Good food, beautiful atmosphere, slow service
Food was amazing, venue was beautiful, and the bar line never grew more than 3 people long(quick bartenders!)Sent on 02/06/2019
The only reason Embers did not get all five stars from us is because of some of the service. The groom had to stay back and cut all our cake in order for them to move tables to make a dance floor in a timely manner, the groom and bride ended up bussing some tables to clear away dirty dishes that were there, and anytime we needed something to be done (make sure waters were refilled, tables moved to make a dance floor, etc) we had to go find the coordinator to remind her.
We love embers for the food and atmosphere, but something they do struggle with is their timeliness.
