10/10 recommend Ella to be your event photographer! We’ve had the pleasure of working with Ella over quite an extended period of time because we had a long engagement. From our engagement photoshoot over a year ago, to our wedding just last month, we had a fabulous experience with Ella. She is laid back and professional – a perfect combination of qualities you want your photographer to had. She is always prompt in her communication, and most importantly – her photos are STUNNING. Her editing skills are beautiful, and the moments she is able to capture are second to none. Could not be happier that we chose Ella to be our photographer.

I cannot express how thrilled my husband and I are with the incredible work of Ella Merrill! From the initial consultation, through our engagement photos, to the final wedding shots, every step of the process was an absolute delight. Ella is an amazing photographer. She is truly one of the best and it shows through her work, positive attitude, and bubbly personality. Ella captured our day absolutely perfectly. She was so amazing to work with, and blended in so well with our guests that we hardly noticed she was there, but she didn't miss a single moment. Her quality is simply unmatched, especially when being able to capture such special moments in a maximalist environment! Very reasonably priced, would hire her over and over again.

I dont know what else to say except: YOU NEED ELLA!! If you want your pictures to be lively, bright, and fun, she is the one! We worked with her for a couple months through engagement pics up until our wedding, and I just don’t have enough good things to say about her. We provably hired a different photographer for our wedding, but the vibes were off and she did not listen to my vision. Me and my husband can be awkward in front of the camera, but she directed us and told us exactly what we needed to do. Our wedding experience would not have been the same without her! She captured the exact vision that I had and then some. 100% worth every penny. Please just book her already!!

We are so happy that we chose Ella for our wedding and engagement photos! My husband and I had never had professional pictures taken before so we were a little bit nervous, but Ella made us feel so comfortable during our engagement photos and we ended up having a blast! My husband and I had a backyard wedding with 110 people in April and Ella was my photographer. She was one of the best part of the wedding experience! Not only was she easy to work with, professional, and punctual, she is one of those rare people you'll meet in life who genuinely has your (and your wedding's) best interest in mind.

Ella's package included an engagement shoot and she made the fantastic suggestions to go to a dog beach in San Diego (we live about 2 hours away). We received a big batch of amazing engagement photos and the best part was that she made the experience fun for us. My husband and I are usually very awkward, but with Ella, it felt natural to pose and just have a good time.

Ella and her partner worked tirelessly at our wedding and we are so happy with our 800+ photos that we received. She was detail oriented, organized, but somehow made picture taking painless and chill. Her photos were bright, cheerful, and she captured the mood of our wedding perfectly. There is so much to say about Ella! Our time with Ella started with our engagement photos in 2019 through 2021 when our wedding finally happened. Our wedding was postponed due to COVID and Ella was so gracious to honor our original contract and save the date for the following year. She helped the transition be stress-free in the midst of all the chaos with rescheduling our wedding & we’re so grateful because we didn’t want anyone else to photograph our special day!
Ella is so sweet, very helpful with suggestions down to every detail: what to wear for photos based on locations, time of day to best shoot, and I LOVED that she has a photo shoot list for the wedding day! This helped the group photos run quickly and smoothly while making sure we didn’t leave any wedding details and guests out. She includes you in all her decision planning & her supportive spirit makes you feel like a friend! She even helped me put my shoes on and carry my things when I was alone (teary eyes). As a bride you definitely appreciate these little gestures of help. She goes above and beyond the surface of her job description.
