We chose Eighteen Ninety because the venue was a one-stop shop for our entire day, from getting ready to the reception, and each space was amazing on its own. The victorian house is sooo beautiful with unmatched charm and it has ample getting ready space for the ladies. The dudes aren't left out; they had an awesome groom's quarters where they played pool and Mario Kart. No other venue we toured provided the same level of space to get ready, on top of the other spaces included. It was important to me to have an outdoor ceremony space, and I love Eighteen Ninety's, with an aisle leading from the house to the arbor. The elegant reception hall is just a hop, skip, and jump away from the ceremony space, making a great backup plan in case of poor weather. We love how no one had to shuttle around to different locations between photo spots, ceremony, and reception. Regarding the beauty of their venue, I mean the photos speak for themselves.

Their service and team are top-notch. When we chose to postpone, I dreaded reaching out to my vendors about rescheduling. Eighteen Ninety completely understood and made it easy. I was very lucky in that I managed to keep all my vendors for our rescheduled date. The team also worked with me in scheduling on-site meetings and video calls since I was an out-of-town bride. Katie was communicative and patient with me as a made decisions. Our guest count was less than expected given a recent spike in COVID cases, and Katie worked with me to edit the floor plan last minute.

Weddings are their bread and butter and it shows with the team's knowledge and expertise. They are not wedding planners nor day-of coordinators, but at the same time, they are there to help and assist.

Not only is this venue absolutely gorgeous on its own, but Paula was so thoughtful and nice to work with during our entire planning process. She made sure everything we were looking for was accommodated and executed beautifully. She was always willing to answer questions and work with us. Highly recommended. Our guest loved the venue and had so many compliments. Such a beautiful place. We're so happy to we booked here.

Absolutely beautiful inside and outside! It was so simple and elegant! Katie and Paula were amazing to work with and helped make our day flow smoothly! My husband and I picked this place because the second we stood in the alter outside we just felt it was where we would begin out journey as husband and wife. The view and property are so beautiful and extremely well maintained!

I had my bridal shower at Eighteen Ninety's Victorian House and it was absolutely perfect! They helped set up and give us ideas on the layout that worked perfectly! All of my guests kept commenting about how beautiful it was. I wouldn't have changed a thing!

Eighteen Ninety is the BEST venue in the KC metro if you’re looking for a venue that has it ALL! I researched almost 30 venues and the second I toured 1890, I knew I had to get married there. They have a huge bridal house that allow for beautiful pictures, a separate groom’s suite that’s fun for the guys, an outdoor AND indoor space, and an AMAZING team. As a Type A bride, I had so many questions and needed a lot of flexibility from 1890 because of covid-19, and they were so fabulous to work with! They were so accommodating and sweet to me as I stressed so much about having to change our date. You can tell Paula really loves her venue and her brides even more, and Katie was super helpful in making sure all the details were recorded and taken care of. The indoor venue hall is beautifully modern and traditional at the same time, allowing flexibility for your vision. I love all their details - the decorated bar, the fireplace in the wall, the back patio for smokers and a fireplace out there, the outdoor bar that’s perfect for an outdoor cocktail hour - nothing else has blown me away more than 1890. I still have people (almost 6 months after my wedding!) who tell me how amazing my venue was and how much they love it. I don’t regret a SINGLE thing about booking 1890 for the best day of my life, and I will sing their praises forever! If you’re on the fence, book a tour. I PROMISE you will not regret it!

This review is long overdue but so worth mentioning why Eighteen-Ninety needs to be your venue. We chose The Fields at 1890 because it was the perfect combo of elegance and simplicity. I didn't want a country wedding, but I also didn't want an "over the top" venue either. This fit so well with our guests - black tie or jeans - we had the whole shebang. Booking and touring the location was a breeze. The crew is so transparent, accommodating, and insightful about how to make your planning process and wedding day seamless from the start. All along the way, they were there to answer our questions, coordinate with vendors, and take as much off of our plate as possible. They are truly incredible and professional with every detail. When it came to wedding day, we didn't have to lift a finger. Set-up was a breeze (they were helpful with that), and wedding day details fell perfectly into place like magic. When the rain came and moved us inside - there was NO hesitation with rearranging our guests indoors ; it made for the most elegant and intimate ceremony. Our vendors were beyond pleased to work with the 1890 crew, my family was so appreciative of how much they did for us throughout the entire process, and my husband and I were overjoyed with how perfect our day was because of this venue.
The Fields is quiet, private, and extremely intimate. Our guests still to this day have so many wonderful things to say about the venue. Multiple options for set up indoors and out - and an endless amount of photo opportunities around the property. The groom and bridal suites are the perfect area for relaxing and getting ready and make for a quaint place to relax before the big day! Paula and her husband are outstanding owners. They are wonderful to any and all who inquire. Definitely worth the investment - it has gone far beyond our wedding day and we are so pleased. I would recommend this venue 100x over.

We were able to plan the perfect intimate wedding in less than a month with the all inclusive wedding package at Eighteen Ninety. The staff was professional and prompt, with recommendations and resources to assist in coordination of food, dessert, decor and more. The breathtaking grounds and ambiance of the location couldn't be better!

My daughters wedding was absolutely beautiful! The staff and management at Eighteen Ninety are kind, professional and caring. They actually care about your big day and are so accommodating. We would recommend them to anyone who wants a beautiful wedding with a venue that actually cares about you and your needs! We had an outstanding experience! Love this venue!!

I have had the pleasure of attending several weddings at 1890, one of which in particular I was a bridesmaid in this summer. It was gorgeous. The venue is spectacular and the service was wonderful.
