Not only is this venue absolutely gorgeous on its own, but Paula was so thoughtful and nice to work with during our entire planning process. She made sure everything we were looking for was accommodated and executed beautifully. She was always willing to answer questions and work with us. Highly recommended. Our guest loved the venue and had so many compliments. Such a beautiful place. We're so happy to we booked here. -

Absolutely beautiful inside and outside! It was so simple and elegant! Katie and Paula were amazing to work with and helped make our day flow smoothly! My husband and I picked this place because the second we stood in the alter outside we just felt it was where we would begin out journey as husband and wife. The view and property are so beautiful and extremely well maintained! -

I had my bridal shower at Eighteen Ninety's Victorian House and it was absolutely perfect! They helped set up and give us ideas on the layout that worked perfectly! All of my guests kept commenting about how beautiful it was. I wouldn't have changed a thing! -

Eighteen Ninety is the BEST venue in the KC metro if you’re looking for a venue that has it ALL! I researched almost 30 venues and the second I toured 1890, I knew I had to get married there. They have a huge bridal house that allow for beautiful pictures, a separate groom’s suite that’s fun for the guys, an outdoor AND indoor space, and an AMAZING team. As a Type A bride, I had so many questions and needed a lot of flexibility from 1890 because of covid-19, and they were so fabulous to work with! They were so accommodating and sweet to me as I stressed so much about having to change our date. You can tell Paula really loves her venue and her brides even more, and Katie was super helpful in making sure all the details were recorded and taken care of. The indoor venue hall is beautifully modern and traditional at the same time, allowing flexibility for your vision. I love all their details - the decorated bar, the fireplace in the wall, the back patio for smokers and a fireplace out there, the outdoor bar that’s perfect for an outdoor cocktail hour - nothing else has blown me away more than 1890. I still have people (almost 6 months after my wedding!) who tell me how amazing my venue was and how much they love it. I don’t regret a SINGLE thing about booking 1890 for the best day of my life, and I will sing their praises forever! If you’re on the fence, book a tour. I PROMISE you will not regret it! -

This review is long overdue but so worth mentioning why Eighteen-Ninety needs to be your venue. We chose The Fields at 1890 because it was the perfect combo of elegance and simplicity. I didn't want a country wedding, but I also didn't want an "over the top" venue either. This fit so well with our guests - black tie or jeans - we had the whole shebang. Booking and touring the location was a breeze. The crew is so transparent, accommodating, and insightful about how to make your planning process and wedding day seamless from the start. All along the way, they were there to answer our questions, coordinate with vendors, and take as much off of our plate as possible. They are truly incredible and professional with every detail. When it came to wedding day, we didn't have to lift a finger. Set-up was a breeze (they were helpful with that), and wedding day details fell perfectly into place like magic. When the rain came and moved us inside - there was NO hesitation with rearranging our guests indoors ; it made for the most elegant and intimate ceremony. Our vendors were beyond pleased to work with the 1890 crew, my family was so appreciative of how much they did for us throughout the entire process, and my husband and I were overjoyed with how perfect our day was because of this venue.
The Fields is quiet, private, and extremely intimate. Our guests still to this day have so many wonderful things to say about the venue. Multiple options for set up indoors and out - and an endless amount of photo opportunities around the property. The groom and bridal suites are the perfect area for relaxing and getting ready and make for a quaint place to relax before the big day! Paula and her husband are outstanding owners. They are wonderful to any and all who inquire. Definitely worth the investment - it has gone far beyond our wedding day and we are so pleased. I would recommend this venue 100x over. -

Outstanding
My daughters wedding was absolutely beautiful! The staff and management at Eighteen Ninety are kind, professional and caring. They actually care about your big day and are so accommodating. We would recommend them to anyone who wants a beautiful wedding with a venue that actually cares about you and your needs! We had an outstanding experience! Love this venue!! -

LOVE! THE BEST VENUE and TEAM! I seriously cannot say enough great things about Eighteen Ninety! The space is absolutely stunning! I always wanted to get married outside with a beautiful arbor and back drop (but a backup indoor plan-weather permitting) and have an indoor reception with simple elegance that would also accommodate our original guest count pre-covid of 275. The reception hall is GORGEOUS with beautiful chandeliers that don’t need a whole lot of decor but you can put your own spin on! So many guests commented on the beauty of the venue! The greenery, fields, white fences, Victorian house, red barn, brick cocktail area, gravel road and reception hall all make for amazing pictures.
Paula, the owner, and her staff are absolutely amazing! We had to reschedule our wedding that was supposed to be in May due to covid-19. That day was still special to us and we wanted to get married not knowing if our rescheduled date was going to happen amidst the ongoing pandemic. Paula was gracious enough to let us use the venue on our original date to have our pastor marry us with a close group of friends! She seriously went above and beyond to accommodate us and I am forever grateful! Sweetest person ever!
Then come our rescheduled wedding date, Paula and her staff, Katie and team were in constant communication leading up to our day and dealt with my mini panic attacks in regards to cutting our guest count and final details! They catered to my high maintenance requests of chairs spaced, vendors in masks, provided hand sanitizer and stunning gold canisters to put at each table for guests to help social distance and stay germ free! Her team helped the day go by so smoothly!
The boys LOVED the grooms house where they enjoyed playing pool and kicking back with some drinks. The Victorian house is where us girls got ready and had plenty of rooms and lighting for great pictures!
We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and team for our big day! I highly recommend Eighteen Ninety for your special day! Such a stunning venue and a rockstar team who truly care about you and making your day perfect! -

Best venue in kansas city!
1890 was the best venue ever! I could go on and on about this exquisite venue. Our wedding was unfortunately affected by Covid, but 1890 directed every step of the way and stepped in to make our wedding just as perfect as possible! We were rescheduled with no issue and were always being kept up to date by their amazing owner, Paula! I wouldn’t have chosen anywhere else to spend such a special day! The facilities are kept in perfect condition and it was such a roomy venue to get ready at! Its beautiful landscaping and historic house made for the most beautiful pictures! I loved my whole experience! -

We had an amazing experience at Eighteen Ninety for our daughter’s wedding. It was absolutely delightful to have access to the bridal and groom suites, the outdoor ceremony with the arbor and perfectly stark white chairs and the great hall for the reception along with the outdoor beverage area. I cannot say enough good things about this place. There is no reason to go anywhere else. They have everything you need! -

The Fields is a picture perfect venue, starting with the ceremony space looking over the rolling hills! Inside the reception space, there's gorgeous custom wood tables that make decorating so much easier. I also love the covered patio, which makes for a great cocktail space. Isabel is a joy to work with and quickly responds to all of your questions! You won't regret booking with The Fields! -

We couldn't be happier that we had our wedding at Eighteen Ninety! The staff is wonderful and Chelsea went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The mansion is clean and beautiful, and the reception space is immaculate. The space provides options for indoor or outdoor ceremonies and is the perfect backdrop for a number of different decoration styles. We loved everything about having our romantic/classic wedding at this venue. -

Joanne and her staff are top notch, start to finish. Not only do they have a gorgeous and unique property, they are incredibly professional, responsive, caring and warm. It felt like they were just as excited for and invested in our day as we were from the first visit! Truly recommend everything about this venue, especially Joanne--she's a gem!! Bonus: once we selected them as our venue, we even got to take our engagement photos there. Once you visit, you'll see why this place books so quickly, don't wait! -
