They did an amazing job on my cake and were very easy to work with. I got many compliments. I would highly recommend Edible Delights.

We had the red velvet cake and the champagne cake with blueberry filling ( a Maine treat)! They are so good at making sugar flowers too :)

The Quality of service was amazing, I have been envisioning my wedding day since I was twelve so I knew exactly what I wanted, and I explained this to the owner, Michele, and she reassured me that I would get the cake of my dreams. I showed her a couple of pictures and told her which aspects that I wanted from each. On my wedding day I could not have beem happier with my cake. They were very professional and friendly. I would recommend this bakery to any one who wants a beautiful cake that will make your special day.

Living in Alaska and planning a wedding in Maine was not easiest task. Michele was wonderful to work with. I sent photo by email. It was exactly what we wanted, simple, elegant, and tasted great!

I had the best wedding cake. I't look just like the picture I gave them. Very professional, I highly recommed them.

Out of all the vendors of cakes that I sampled, they had by far the best tasting cake. I am not a big fan of cake at all, but this was the first cake i had that I was actually excited to eat! They had a huge selection of types of cakes and flavors. My final cake had 3 tiers and each was a different flavor/filling. Each layer was sooo tasty! I can't wait for our anniversary to whip it out and have some more!
They were friendly to meet with and did everything I asked for. I kept it pretty simple, but it's what I wanted and everything came out perfectly. I highly recommend these ladies. THey do amazing work, and the cakes are amazing!

I highly recommend this vendor. We asked for a cupcake tower cake. In fact, we found one that we kinda liked on a website for a different cake maker. When we showed them that picture, and told them of the changes, they were very positive and told me that they had no problem doing that. They gave us a great deal. We wanted 150 white and chocolate cupcakes with autumn-colored sugar leaves on each and a 6" Strawberry cake with a cake-topper made of candied pinecones, acorns, and autumn-colored leaves. We also needed to use their tower and they had to deliver and set up the cake/cupcakes. They gave us a total with tax, delivery, set up, cake, cupcakes, and renting their tower of $400. And on the wedding day...the cake was soooo amazing. It was a vision come true!

Not bad...cake tasted good and was pretty much what I had envisioned. Not quite what we had discussed and was I had pointed to in photos, but not bad for the money.

I would not recommend this vendor to anyone unless they go with one of the photos in her book. I met with her a few months before the wedding and brought pics of exactly what I wanted. We discussed and she said that she would be able to do it and actually looked forward to creating a different cake than what she had done before and even asked for a copy of my wedding invitation so that she would know exactly what colors to use. I followed up about 10 days before the wedding and made the final payment. Day of the wedding a cake that was completely different than what I had ordered showed up. It tasted wonderful but visually was a very different cake. I was so upset. She didn't even contact me after to apologize or anything, just let it go. I was very disappointed by the no follow up as well.
Completely disappointment!!

Couldn't have been more disappointed...
And I'm not one of those nit-picking complainers either. I always give others the benefit of the doubt and I've never written a bad review about someone or some place ever....but there's no way I can just let this go.
I only recommend this vendor if you could care less about the aesthetics. Her cakes taste pretty good....but I've been noticing a trend in reviews (after the fact, unfortuantely)....
She'll tell you she can match any color, do any design...I mean, at the onset it sounds wonderful because it sounds like whatever you envision she can make happen and all the 'extras' are cheaper than most experienced bakers in the area. We liked some of the unique fondant designs we saw from her cake pictures to create a whimsical look which she said was no problem.
IT WAS EMBARRASING....the color matching was drab, the flowers were NOTHING like we expected, and our cake did not look whimsical....it looked like it was ready to topple over if the table was bumped ever so slightly. The unknowing guest might have thought my kid cousin stacked it.
Not only that...but somewhere along the lines our cake topper broke and the brides head fell off! (gee, with the cake leaning like it was going to fall over, I can't imagine how that could have happened???) The resort had to hot glue it back together that morning and couldn't place it back on the top....so we didn't have cake toppers, we had cake "next-to's" with the brides neck sliced open!
Seriously...it literally looked so embarrassing that it made me shy at times to even show off all of our pictures because I'm worried I'll have to keep answering the question: Wow, whats up with your cake? Fortunately, most people are polite enough not to ask.
She's not exactly Ms. Personality to work with either.
I know looks aren't everything, but remind yourself of this before deciding....photographers LOVE pictures of the cakes and cake cutting....they are wonderful moments....do you really want to feel frusterated every time you look at those pictures for the rest of your life because you dumped a grand on a 200+ serving cake and THATS what you got?
Unlike many vendors who do just 1 cake per week....she'll book 3 or even 4 for the same weekend, so don't expect fine attention to detail (and after reading this, I hope you wouldnt)
It just seems like she'll say she can do anything to get that contract signed...but then has limited personal investment or pride in the work afterwards.
Signed,
A Groom who was a great cake short of perfection on his wedding day
