While my mother and I could manage the planning and coordination leading up to the wedding, having Amanda for the weekend of was invaluable! Amanda’s insight and experience were clear during the first meeting and the rehearsal ensuring every detail, many of which we hadn’t considered, was addressed. The day-of, Amanda made sure everything ran smoothly and gracefully handled what could have been a major transportation disaster. On top of all that, she even helped wash my feet after our sunset photo shoot on the beach, such a lifesaver! We would absolutely recommend Amanda and Double G Events to anyone!

Maggie is absolutely fantastic! She provided incredible support throughout the entire wedding planning process, and she made sure to keep us on track with all of our deadlines. She has many vendor connections in and around the Connecticut area, and she recommended some of her favorites based on our price range, style, etc. Although the wedding planning process can become overwhelming at times, Maggie always made us feel relaxed and at ease. We knew she had it all under control due to her extreme organization and attention to detail. We couldn’t be happier with the way our wedding turned out…it was the most perfect day! Maggie and the team (Ashley and Trish) were so fun to work with. They were great to be around and really helped ensure everything went smoothly. There's no way we would have been able to pull off a complex wedding (2 ceremonies in 1 day) without them!

They helped with finding vendors, organization, ideas, and the day-of craziness! Not only that, but being a source of stress relief through all the planning.

It would be great if they could take more of an active role with splitting out a budget. We found it hard to stay within the budget and could have used more help breaking out the items in our planning.

Maggie and Double G made my wedding vision come true. I hired Maggie shortly after I became engaged, 18 months before my wedding, for full service planning. Since I'm relatively new to CT and my family and friends live far away, I was in need of someone to recommend the most reputable vendors I could afford, go to all of my vendor appointments with me, coordinate the day of, and to give me sound design advice. Maggie was all of those things and more! I already had a vision for my wedding, but she had the expertise to execute it. She went with me to 3 venues, attended cake and catering tastings, dress fittings, floral and photography appointments, and created and kept track of my budget. Maggie was always available by phone and email and very prompt to reply to messages. She and her team were the picture of professionalism. She coordinated my wedding day flawlessly; I showed up stress-free and all I had to do was marry my best friend. I received endless compliments on how beautifully it all came out, but much of the credit belongs to Maggie and her team.
I would 110% recommend Double G and hire them again in a heart beat, but I won't need to!

Wedding planning is supposed to be a memorable, once in a life time memory. However, every bride knows the stress, the endless emails, payments, details and contracts that follow - and it can bring a little brideziilla out of everyone. While we were having a budget wedding, we were hesitant to spend the money on a wedding planner. Double G Events ended to be the best investment of my wedding. Maggie helped me plan my backyard wedding down to every last detail. She handled emails, brought all the vendors together, thought of everything from mosquito spray for the yard to town licensing. She not only saw my wedding inspiration but built on it. I honestly don't know how I would have completed the wedding without her, she went above and beyond, especially at the occasional midnight panicked emails- which were always responded by an immediate phone call that would calm anyone's nerves. I don't know how she does it, but she knows all the right words for all the right moments for all the wrong freak-outs.She could make any wedding beautiful and elegant. On the day of, her team was fabulous. I didn't have to lift a finger or worry about anything. While Maggie still ran the show, Trish was there for my every need - nerves, a torn bustle - you name it. Needless to say, I could not thank Maggie and Double G Events enough for not only making my dream wedding perfect, but for truly making the entire process fun and memorable.

As the bride, Double G Events made this night truly memorable for me. It was a comfort to know that I didnt have to worry about anything that night and that Maggie and her team were on top of it. Their attention to details was amazing and throughout the year, I never had an issue getting an email response or a phone call back. I felt like I was the only Wedding Maggie was planning, though she has many others in her que.

Maggie and her staff provided wonderfully competent and sensitvie expertise to our family during this past year as we planned our daughter's October, 2011 wedding. She was a cost-conscious resource as we reviewed and contracted with our vendors. . .and was always just an email or phone call away. . returning our calls and messages promptly. As with all weddings. . .there were things that demanded more attention and discussion for resolution. Maggie was calm and provided knowledgeable feedback. . .calmly supporting us as we worked towards resolutions. Even with all the planning and time tables. . .on the day of the wedding. . .there were the inevitable last minute issues. . and knowing that we had Maggie and her terrific staff to help and solve. . .was very comforting. I would recommend Maggie and her assistants to be a part of any event.

Maggie and her team are absolutely amazing.  We both had very specific images in our heads of how we wanted the wedding to go, and Maggie and her team were able to both meet and exceed our expectations.  We also both work full-time, so having an involved wedding planner was very important for us.  Maggie and her team coordinated with the venue, the band, the florist, the photographer and videographer, the transportation, and the hotels for us, as well as worked with us on things we hadn’t initially considered, like wedding favors (which she and her team put together for us) and charger plates.  Also, Maggie’s day-of wedding assistant Rhonda is fantastic!  On the day of the wedding, Rhonda kept everything running incredibly smoothly, shepherding everyone to where they needed to go and keeping everyone calm.  Everyone is still raving about how tasteful and well-organized our wedding was; we couldn’t have pulled it off without Double G. Most importantly, Maggie is very personable and passionate about her work. She is also very funny and make the environment very easy going, which is great because during wedding planning we were very stressed. We always had weekly phone calls for status updates. So, there was always constant communication every week. Maggie is more than just a wedding planner. She is a friend, who was there with us in our time of need. Grabbing coffee and discussing the wedding, etc…We recommend Double G to every wedding couple that is looking for a planner. They are awesome.
