We celebrated our wedding at Deep Blue at Kitty Knight and I am still blown away by the service provided, especially from Event Manager Tiffany! For 10 months during planning, Tiffany was so responsive and helpful via email on every single detail of the wedding. Come day off, the staff nailed the decorations, dinner, bartending and more! We simply could not be happier with the flawless execution of our celebration! Thank you so so much Deep Blue and Tiffany!!!

I had my bridal shower at The Tavern at The Kitty Knight House. The venue was excellent! We loved the menu options and the food was delicious. They were very accommodating by letting my bridesmaids show up early to decorate. We loved The Kitty Knight House and highly recommend this venue.

Words can not even express how happy we are with how amazing everyone at The Kitty Knight House was on our wedding day. We can truly say that our wedding was perfect in every way! Faith our event planner was absolutely amazing and truly professional - she paid attention to every little detail and was always there to answer any questions and give her input and support. Sandy the Inn Keeper was beyond wonderful - she made our stay as well as our families stay such a wonderful experience. The staff was always polite and helpful. The food was beyond delicious and no one left hungry. Our guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed our special day :)

My partner and I had a same sex wedding in the tent at the Kitty Knight House overlooking the Georgetown marina on a Sunday afternoon this summer. We could not have asked for a better venue and event. We were fortunate with a sunny day, a nice breeze, in a spectacular location. From the gracious and charming Angie (the event planner), to the magnificent site, and the excellent food, it was a total success. I can't say enough positive about Angie who was incredibly easy to work with, gave helpful and useful suggestions, always responded to emails and questions, and took us smoothly through the process.

We looked at other places, but thought this was the most beautiful with excellent pricing for the event and delicious food to match. Prior to the event, we met the owners who were incredibly cordial about allowing our guests the use of marina facilities. We hired Captain John and he took guests out for short rides on his boat the Dorothy while other guests danced, talked, swam, and used kayaks or paddleboats (changing areas are available).

The tent is very sturdy with crystal chandeliers, hanging balloons, sides that open for breezes, easy access, and nearby parking - all overlooking the water. The dance floor is in the center; we had a great DJ with music that was at a good level for lots of dancing and easy talking.

The food was set up as a buffet - while we did not get a chance to sample the butlered hors d'eouvres or most of the main dishes, all the guests complimented us on how great the food was. We brought in a wedding cake and had multiple tasty ice creams with toppings for dessert. For us the magic of the moment was only made better by Angie and her commitment to excellence - we can't say enough about how wonderful she was, the incredible service the staff provided, and how supportive everyone was about our same sex wedding. This is a great venue, a wonderful setting, a spectacular location, and you will have a blast.

We just had our wedding at the kitty knight house on 10-05-13 and I cannot even begin to explain how happy I am with everything! Angie the event cordinator went above and beyond to make our day flawless and perfect. Sandy the inn keeper made sure all of our guests who were staying at the inn had everything they needed and provided excellent service. There was nothing that these two wouldn't do to ensure that our day was special and perfect. The Kitty knight house is a beautiful outdoor wedding that over looks the Sassafras River near Chesapeake City. My guest all took advance of the amazing sunset view for a photo op. This place is truly a hidden gem!!!

My son & daughter-in-law held their reception @ the Kitty Knight House on 6/15/13. Angie Rutherford was their event coordinator. The night was beyond our highest expectations. Angie and her staff provided an amazing and magical reception. The atmosphere, scenery on the water, tent with chandeliers, exquisite food, setups...entire package was more than we could have ever hoped for. Our guests are still reliving that night.

The Kitty Knight House was a wonderful place to get married. The scenery is beautiful! Regarding value - it cannot be beat. In the process of searching, we were amazed that the tent is included, the cost to rent the facility is minimal, the linens are included (provided you are interested in basic linens), and the food is delicious!

On our wedding day, the staff was wonderful. Everything was set up perfectly. They made sure the day flowed nicely and most importantly, we had so much fun!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at The Kitty Knight House and it will now always hold a very special place in our hearts. The setting and venue are both breathtakingly beautiful and a perfect backdrop for a wedding. We took some gorgeous “First Look” shots down by the water on the docks with all of the boats in the marina as our backdrop. The Inn is gorgeous and has so much charm. We rented the entire Inn for the weekend and that ended up being so much fun because we got to be in the same vicinity as our families and wedding party the whole time. It was great to have breakfast together Saturday and Sunday in the charming dining room. We stayed in room 7 and loved it! It was a gorgeous, luxurious room with a nice big whirlpool tub. My bridesmaids & I hung out in my room all day while we were getting ready and it was just so cozy and comfortable. The food is fantastic. Everything was absolutely delicious… even the broccoli was awesome! I wish I had had time to eat a second plate! The Kitty Knight has an outside deck that we used for our after-party, which was so much fun. It was great to have our ceremony, reception and after-party all in one place. The price is fantastic-- they are BY FAR the most reasonably priced venue we found. I can’t say enough about the wedding coordinator at Kitty Knight, Angie. She was more than accommodating during our entire wedding planning process. I am extremely type A and she worked with me to make sure that everything was perfect. I arrived for our wedding weekend with a huge box of decorations and explicit instructions as to how I wanted the tent decorated. She got everything right and it looked amazing. This is impressive considering just how picky I am! She went so far as to go into the kitchen (which was closed) herself and make me a sandwich at the end of the night. That is totally above & beyond! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a place to have their wedding.

What can we say except we were incredibly lucky to fall upon The Kitty Knight House. We had looked at 18 other venues *we just didn't fall in love anywhere else* and well, lucky number 19 I guess! Not only is The Kitty Knight House incredibly beautiful, they were able to accommodate all of our needs---240 guests, an outdoor ceremony with a stunning backdrop (STUNNING doesn't even come close) with a potential for indoor (if it rained...which it thankfully didn't), a bit of a rustic feeling for photos, amazing food (we have now eaten there several times and have never been disappointed- I’m mildly obsessed with the Berry Salad and their burgers are great too---the food at the wedding people are still raving about- the quality and quantity- some guests went back for thirds!), a fantastic price (did I mention we visited 18 OTHER venues)! and a one stop shop for getting ready! Before the wedding, the girls had our hair crew come to our room, ate lunch on the deck while the boys went paddle boating and fishing- you can use the pool/ kayaks and paddle boats during your stay at the Inn. We also wanted an option for after the wedding if people weren't quite ready to end the fun (they have an awesome deck bar where about 40 guests came back to listen to live music and dance for another hour and a half until the busses arrived to take them to the hotel). I loved that we rented the entire Inn for the weekend and really utilized it! We had a brunch on Sunday morning with about 55 people (also amazing- the staff is out of this world)! Oh, our event planner Angie (she comes with the package) was unbelievable. Really, I still don't know how she did everything she did. We didn't have ONE issue the day of the wedding- her and her team were ON TOP OF THINGS to say the least...and she was always available to me the months leading up to our big day- she answered all my questions and went above and beyond giving me information about where I could go for just about anything I needed. She even did all the work to have twinkle lighting added around the tent (a little added romantic feel I really wanted added to the already BEAUTIFUL tent! The Inn is really special too, with its history and the fantastic views- the Inn Keeper Sandy is very sweet and very helpful! When all was said and done I was sad to leave, not just because the wedding was over but because I’m truly going to miss checking in with Angie and Sandy. I recommend the Kitty Knight House, not just for weddings, but for parties of any kind, a romantic get-away, or even a fun Friday night out. We live about an hour away but I know we’ll be making the trip frequently just for their Berry Salad! You would be crazy not to visit this venue and quite frankly, if you’re searching for somewhere to have the wedding of your dreams, there’s a good chance your search will end here (they also have an Indoor option for smaller weddings)!
