We looked at a few venues but Mt. Washington was always our first pick. Mary was amazing to work with and super easy to get in touch with. She made great recommendations for different problems that arose along the way such as photographers requests, DJ requests, etc. She had a solution for every little thing and was fantastic at easing our nerves about the smaller details. We used Holly for the flowers and Shannon for the cake, and all three people were easy to get along with. They also had suggestions to keep ourselves in line with the budget. The wedding itself was much easier than I had expected because of the professionalism of the staff at Mt. Washington Tavern. Our guests loved the Sky Bar and the atmosphere that it created where people could chat and catch up with old friends or dance in the Pimlico Room.

When we looked for wedding venues in Baltimore, we kept running into places that charged thousands just to book the space. The Mt. Washington Tavern, on the other hadn, was in our budget, wonderfully unique, and run by a professional and welcoming family. They do it all in house: food, drink, flowers, cake, decor, tables and chairs, candles--all included in your price!

Our coordinator, Mary, ensured that our day went off without a hitch and that the few outside vendors we needed (DJ and photographers) knew exactly where to be. Holly was fantastic for creating flower arrangements, bouquets, boutonnières, and unique cuff corsages. The staff kept the party flowing and made sure everyone had a great time. We loved the touches of Baltimore, from the crab cakes and oysters during cocktail hour to the Preakness decorations. Check out the Tavern if you want a space that will treat you like family and won't cost an arm and a leg!

We reached out to Mt Washington Tavern after reading their reviews on Wedding Wire. Mary, Holly, and Shannon did an incredible job for our winter wedding reception. The atmosphere was so cozy and lovely and our guests had an amazing time. Food was excellent! Highly recommend them for a reception!

We got married on 4/2/2022 in the Pimlico Room at Mount Washington Tavern with about 52 guests and a DJ. The experience from start to finish was great; the team at MWT were easy to work with, flexible, responsive and everything, I mean EVERYTHING including the pastry chef, bar & bartenders, event planner, decor, and the florist is in-house. The food was excellent. We opted for a buffet style event, and we had so much flexibility in the food selections. There were no fixed menus or required items - we had everything we wanted and nothing we didnt - then the tavern quoted us a price for our selections. It was phenomenal. The staff was amazing (they brought the bride & groom food & drink as soon as they arrived), decor like centerpieces, candles, and flowers was beautiful and all done by them. We only needed to give them guidance on what decor/flowers we wanted and they did the rest; which alleviated SO MUCH extra stress and cost. The florist, Holly, even trasferred the flowers to and from our ceremony venue!

Mary (event planner), Holly (florist/decorater) and Shannon (baker) were all easy to work with and so flexible with our requests. I would highly recommend this venue to everybody.

Mount Washington Tavern was the first and only venue that we looked at for our wedding reception, and they were WONDERFUL!! They are very reasonably priced, the service is excellent, and Mary is incredibly responsive and accommodating, especially considering COVID. Holly did a great job with the flowers, Shannon baked a delicious cake, and Theresa and the day of team couldn't have been better. The food was also terrific and a number of our guests commented on it. The entire experience was very personal, customizable, and stress free. 10/10, would recommend!!

There are no words to describe how amazing my experience with this team was. I literally would have been lost without Mary. She made everything so easy and answered every question I had, and I had a lot. I mean a lot.

First off, the space is beautiful and unique. I toured quite a few places and none were as beautiful. Or had as many options of places to hold the ceremony. And none had anyone nearly as proficient or nice as Mary.

Day of I don’t know what I would have done. We were on the brink of everything closing down for the Covid-19 situation and they handled everything beautifully. The space was set up fantastically and I couldn’t have asked for more

Everything went off perfectly. The food was perfect. The service was amazing. The drinks were phenomenal. We’re still getting people telling us how great all of these things were.

I can’t say enough about how amazing my experience was and how pleased we both were. Given the option I would choose this place over and over again. It was literally perfect for me.

We had our wedding ceremony and sit-down dinner in the Chesapeake Room at the tavern. It worked out perfectly for the size group we had (about 85 people). Mary, the event planner, was awesome to work with. She was responsive and attentive. She was very flexible with our request. We used the onsite florist who created beautiful arrangements in our budget. We also used the onsite pastry chef who did a wonderful job with dessert. Everyone had a wonderful evening! It was better than I could have imagined!

10 stars for your next EVENT. We held our wedding at the Mt Washington Tavern for a untraditional but SUPER FUN time. We rented the entire upstairs of the restaurant and hosted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and strolling reception. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Mary was phenomenal to work with, always available to answer my questions and worked with our budget. We used Holly for our flowers and WOW absolutely beautiful. WE used the on site pastry chef for our desserts and our guests absolutely loved them. Everyone here worked with us and helped the night go seamlessly. Our guests said it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to. For us, the ability to have good food, ad outside space (lovely sky bar), and an open bar that included the WORKS (beyond your usually vodka cran or light beer you get stuck with at traditional weddings) were all very important factors and MWT delivered. We had ample space for a dance floor and Mary and her team handled the set up of all or our decor so it was totally hands off. No need to worry about renting tables and plates and table clothes like you often need to at other venues. Restaurant weddings are underrated but I promise you will not be disappointed if you host your next event here.

Note: we had about 120 guests in the entire upstairs, there was adequate seating for all but we did not do a sit down dinner and chose the strolling reception option instead
