My goal as a wedding photographer is to deliver more than just beautiful, bright photos of your day. I want each of my couples to walk away with an experience that makes them feel and look as natural and in love as they feel with each other.
That is why I make sure to walk you through each step of the process –– from designing your engagement session, to outlining the timeline of the day, to posing and guiding you through your entire day. This is such a joyous time in your life and your photos should reflect that!
The moment when you and the love of your life become one is so incredibly special. So is making sure that you're able to share your joy and excitement with all of your friends and family! That's why I work tirelessly with you to make sure that after we have talked through every detail of your day, I provide an experience on the day of that provides excitement to keep energy high and comfort when things may not go as planned. You spend more time with your photographer on your wedding day than anyone else so my mission is to be the person that is exactly what you need when you need it.
All packages include a complimentary engagement session, 8 hours of wedding day coverage, a second photographer and an online gallery full of all your high-resolution digital images to download, print, and share.
Bridal sessions and custom, handcrafted keepsake albums are at an additional cost.

My daughter found Dakota for her Engagement and Wedding photos. My daughter instantly fell in love with Dakota at her Engagement shoot. I was so incredibly impressed with the those photos, I could only image what the wedding photos would be like. When I met Dakota, I as well instantly fell in love with her. She was so easy to work with and make everything worry free. She was not only very Professional but very down to earth. We had so much fun with her the whole day! Dakota captured so many special moments. Towards the end of the reception she pulled my daughter and husband aside and shared a few of her edited photos. I was then called over to view them and was in tears!! I was in awe of them all. The final album was indescribable. They were Breathtaking. Dakota was the ABSOLUTE best! We had our wedding at Neuse Breeze in Havelock, NC and she completely captured the beauty of the day and we will always have photos that capture all the memories of the day. Our package included an engagement shoot which I we loved so we could use those photos for our save the dates. Everything was made easy by choosing Dakota to shoot our wedding and engagement and we would 10000% recommended Dakota to anyone else needing photos done. She truly became a special day and words can not describe how thankful we are for her.

Photographer of our dreams!
My husband and I truly cannot say enough about Dakota! From the first time that we spoke on the phone to engagement photos and then our wedding photos, she was a joy to work with. She completely out did her self and captured our special day perfectly. She worked with us on EVERY little detail from timelines, to detail shots, must haves and even helped move the night along. She made taking pictures in 90+ degree weather fun and kept us all entertained throughout the process. Not only is she an amazing photographer she is also so sweet and will be your number one “hype girl” throughout the day. She truly is a gem and I couldn’t be happier with all of our pictures and the time we spent with her. If you get the opportunity to have her as your photographer you will not regret it!!

Perfection
Dakota was a dream come true in every way. My Husband and I can’t thank her enough for everything she did for us and to make our Wedding Day perfect in every way.
I have NEVER seen my Husband more comfortable in front of a camera, and I never felt more beautiful. We are constantly getting compliments on our photos and the creativity behind them.
Dakota made the whole day and night so much fun and I can’t wait to use her for all of our milestone photos to come

Treasured memories for years to come
Dakota is fun, easy going, and professional. We received our entire gallery in less than 3 weeks. Each photo was carefully and professionally edited while still looking natural. She kept our day on track and made sure we got all the important group shots and family pictures we wanted. She gave everyone good direction to get the best shot without looking overly posed or fake. We treasure all of our photos and have them hanging all over our home. Dakota even helped us through creating a custom album after our big day. Thank you Dakota for capturing the magic of our special day and giving us so many treasured memories!

Truly impeccable service!!!
Wow! I could say so many great things about Dakota! She is absolutely wonderful at her job, first and foremost! People still talk about our wedding pictures and I think they will for years to come! They were EPIC!!! She is the sweetest soul, gives great direction when wedding planning, and overall has become a great friend! Choosing Dakota Hersey as our photographer was one of the best vendor choices we could have made. She is organized, responsive, and so experienced to answer any and all questions! We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid and Dakota was extremely flexible and understanding. We also had our STUNNING wedding photos back way sooner than we anticipated! She is truly a gem that just gets it—you won’t regret hiring her!

Ah-maz-ing
I can’t express how much I love Dakota! Her photos are so gorgeous and she is very talented! She made my husband and I comfortable in front of the camera (we are not pictures takers lol) She is so sweet and I couldn’t have picked anyone better! I knew from when I first got engaged that she was going to be out photographer and I’m so glad that we were able to book with her! During the day of she immediately got to work. She stayed on schedule and got every photo that we wanted! Seriously if you don’t hire her after looking at her photos, your crazy! She is honestly the best!
