Bakery 105 is a historic wedding and event venue nestled in the heart of Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. Originally a cornerstone of the American Bakeries complex from the 1920s, this meticulously repurposed venue offers a captivating blend of industrial charm and historical allure.

Bakery 105 features a 3,400 sq. ft. garden courtyard adorned with planter boxes, bench seating, and enchanting details like brick pavers, creeping fig ivy, flowering foliage and crepe myrtle trees. Venturing indoors, the 4500 sq. ft. venue unveils exposed brick walls, high wood ceilings, and sturdy steel girders, preserving the mid-century industrial architecture that echoes the venue’s rich past. A large monitor skylight bathes the space in natural light, creating an inviting atmosphere for gatherings. Bakery 105 is more than a venue; it’s an inclusive experience designed for everyone. With the capacity to host up to 250 guests, both the indoor and outdoor spaces are designed with accessibility in mind.

Our clients can choose from a selection of caterers to accommodate any event (Of course, 128 South, our sister venue, is our favorite). 128 South provides comprehensive in-house, full-service catering featuring diverse menu options, including buffet, themed stations, cocktail-style receptions, and plated dinners. The professional staff, with their extensive expertise, ensures perfection in every detail, allowing clients to relax and fully enjoy their gatherings.

In addition to catering services, as holders of a NC ABC license, we must handle the sale and service of all alcohol on the premises. When it comes to making your cocktail selections, we offer inclusive hosted bar packages, consumption bars, and cash bar options with house and premium brands as well as mocktails, craft beers and signature drinks.

Bridal Suite

Bakery 105 is located just steps away from our bridal suite, The Cottage on Orange Street. Once a former physician's office, the cottage dates back to the 1870s. Available for daily rental (unfortunately, The Cottage is not equipped for overnight stays), the house features sitting, dressing, and vanity areas along with a lovely garden side yard perfect for brunch and photos.
