I can’t express how much I love Dakota! Her photos are so gorgeous and she is very talented! She made my husband and I comfortable in front of the camera (we are not pictures takers lol) She is so sweet and I couldn’t have picked anyone better! I knew from when I first got engaged that she was going to be out photographer and I’m so glad that we were able to book with her! During the day of she immediately got to work. She stayed on schedule and got every photo that we wanted! Seriously if you don’t hire her after looking at her photos, your crazy! She is honestly the best! -

Wow! I could say so many great things about Dakota! She is absolutely wonderful at her job, first and foremost! People still talk about our wedding pictures and I think they will for years to come! They were EPIC!!! She is the sweetest soul, gives great direction when wedding planning, and overall has become a great friend! Dakota was a dream come true in every way. My Husband and I can’t thank her enough for everything she did for us and to make our Wedding Day perfect in every way.
I have NEVER seen my Husband more comfortable in front of a camera, and I never felt more beautiful. We are constantly getting compliments on our photos and the creativity behind them.
Dakota made the whole day and night so much fun and I can’t wait to use her for all of our milestone photos to come -

My husband and I truly cannot say enough about Dakota! From the first time that we spoke on the phone to engagement photos and then our wedding photos, she was a joy to work with. She completely out did her self and captured our special day perfectly. She worked with us on EVERY little detail from timelines, to detail shots, must haves and even helped move the night along. She made taking pictures in 90+ degree weather fun and kept us all entertained throughout the process. Not only is she an amazing photographer she is also so sweet and will be your number one “hype girl” throughout the day. She truly is a gem and I couldn’t be happier with all of our pictures and the time we spent with her. If you get the opportunity to have her as your photographer you will not regret it!! -

I will always and forever recommend Dakota as a wedding photographer! Every part of working with her, from the first inquiry until even after the wedding was complete, was amazing! Leading up to my wedding day, she was so organized, detail-oriented, and professional in her creation a timeline that would include all of the necessary portraits for the day. This made the world of difference in ensuring we made the most of our time on the day of as things went so smoothly. This timeline also kept the whole wedding party and family in line to as I was just able to send it to each of them so they would know what to expect and when to be ready by. My family and wedding party raved all day and afterwards about how much they loved Dakota and how amazing of a job she was doing/did, along with her brother and second shooter, Weston!! Dakota has the sweetest personality that made working with her that much better! We got our gallery back from the day SO quickly and she seriously captured everything and more! Overall, do yourself the biggest favor and hire Dakota as your wedding photographer! You will not regret it one single bit! I cannot recommend her enough!! -

My daughter found Dakota for her Engagement and Wedding photos. My daughter instantly fell in love with Dakota at her Engagement shoot. I was so incredibly impressed with the those photos, I could only image what the wedding photos would be like. When I met Dakota, I as well instantly fell in love with her. She was so easy to work with and make everything worry free. She was not only very Professional but very down to earth. We had so much fun with her the whole day! Dakota captured so many special moments. Towards the end of the reception she pulled my daughter and husband aside and shared a few of her edited photos. I was then called over to view them and was in tears!! I was in awe of them all. The final album was indescribable. They were Breathtaking. I have shared them with everyone and also shared Dakota’s contact with anyone looking for a Photographer. Dakota Hersey Photography is Amazing!! -

Dakota was the ABSOLUTE best! We had our wedding at Neuse Breeze in Havelock, NC and she completely captured the beauty of the day and we will always have photos that capture all the memories of the day. Our package included an engagement shoot which I we loved so we could use those photos for our save the dates. Everything was made easy by choosing Dakota to shoot our wedding and engagement and we would 10000% recommended Dakota to anyone else needing photos done. She truly became a special day and words can not describe how thankful we are for her. -

Treasured memories for years to come
Dakota is fun, easy going, and professional. We received our entire gallery in less than 3 weeks. Each photo was carefully and professionally edited while still looking natural. She kept our day on track and made sure we got all the important group shots and family pictures we wanted. She gave everyone good direction to get the best shot without looking overly posed or fake. We treasure all of our photos and have them hanging all over our home. Dakota even helped us through creating a custom album after our big day. Thank you Dakota for capturing the magic of our special day and giving us so many treasured memories! -

To say that Dakota knocked it out of the park would be an understatement. As a bride, your wedding photographer is actually the person you spend most of your time with on your wedding day and I couldn't be more thankful for Dakota. She kept me calm, made sure I had what I needed, and kept us all on our timeline -- which she took the time to review with me in detail a week before the wedding so there were no surprises.
Dakota made sure before the wedding day arrived that we had a plan for all the portraits we wanted made before and after the ceremony, which made everything flow smoothly and efficiently. Plus, ALL of our family and friends LOVED Dakota and her second shooter, Evan. If they hadn't been working, they absolutely could have blended right in with our invited guests.
Dakota was the second vendor we hired, after our venue. I did a lot of research because there are so many photographers who create beautiful photographs, but it was Dakota's warm personality and her absolute love for her couples that made us choose to become a Dakota Hersey Couple. We could not love the photos she captured of our day more, but it is the memories of the big moments and the in between moments spent laughing and soaking in our newlywed excitement with Dakota and Evan who truly celebrated us that made that day so special to us.
Do yourself a favor and hire Dakota Hersey. I recommend her to anyone and everyone without reservation. You will not regret it! -

My husband and I honestly can’t say enough positive things about Dakota, our photos and the experience we had working with her. Our photos, both engagement and wedding, are better than we could have ever dreamed possible. Hiring Dakota was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. She made sure everything ran smooth and dealt with any bumps in the road with grace. On wedding day my husband and I were able to remain calm, cool and collected because we knew we were in Dakota’s hands. She is an absolute rockstar! Choosing Dakota was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! She was instrumental in making sure our wedding day was flawless! When looking for a photographer I had to ensure I could find someone that could take charge of a 20 person bridal party, keep it fun and light-hearted for my husband who isn’t a fan of photos, and someone who made us feel comfortable every step of the way. Dakota accomplished all of these things and more! I can’t recommend her enough and look forward to having her capture future milestones in our lives! -

Dakota is really incredible when it comes to capturing those moments at a wedding that you could only imaging could be captured. This being from the mom of the bride she captured every little detail of my daughter's wedding that we wouldn't have even thought of. Don't know how to smile or what pose to make, she will help you through every bit of that. I am so happy my daughter and her husband choose Dakota Hersey for their Wedding Day photos!! The photos were airy and captured them in the best setting and light! Thanks Dakota.

I cant say enough great things about Dakota & her photography business. I've never worked with someone so organized. On top of all the things she did prior to get to know Mike and I as a couple, she created an entire day of timeline to ensure all pictures i wanted to be taken were taken. She EVEN created two separate timelines for me to choose from for having a first look vs not having a first look. The morning of our wedding went so smoothly. She showed up and immediately got to work on the detail shots, etc. Dakota was there, capturing every moment without getting in the way and asking me lots of questions, and this is all because of all the prep work she had done beforehand. It was pouring on the day of my bridal portraits, but you would never know it in my pictures. Im still getting compliment after compliment from my guests on how beautiful my pictures are. I will never regret my decision to choose Dakota as my photographer for my wedding day - she is experienced, flexible, fun, accommodating, and so sweet. She made me feel beautiful and i have SO MANY pictures in my album! Thank you again, Dakota! #dakotaherseybrides for the win! -

We were able to relax, laugh, and fully experience every moment of our day without stress because Dakota is able to adjust and meet your needs throughout the day. When we got our sneak peek (on our honeymoon might I add) not only was I insanely impressed with her turnaround i was STUNNED at the photos. The best photographer I have worked with!
I was super nervous to get our wedding pictures done as my husband can be a little camera shy. Dakota is seriously the best photographer I have worked with. Even my husband who usually gets really awkward felt so comfortable and had fun. She made the experience truly memorable and the pictures came out so beautiful it made me cry. I highly recommend her if you want a photographer that will make your experience fun and help create so amazing memories between you and your spouse. -

Dakota is AMAZING! Her personality is warm and inviting. She photographed our engagement and wedding pictures. During engagement pictures she took the time to get to know us and help us to not feel so nervous. She helped us look natural and comfortable in front of the camera. My husband and I were thrilled with our photos. She captured every detail of our special day perfectly!! 10/10 ;) -
