Stay with me, folks. I have a lot to say.
Courtney was not supposed to do my hair and make-up on the day of my wedding. My wonderful hair and make-up artist had an emergency prior to my wedding and connected me with her friend, Courtney, before the wedding. Courtney graciously agreed to do me and my sister's hair and make-up.
Now, get strapped in, because although Courtney is a superb and incredible hair and make-up artist, she truly went above and beyond on my wedding day.
My sister's and my hair looked great. We have so much hair, it took so much time, and she was meticulous. Our make-up looked incredible. We truly looked like the most beautiful, and also most recognizable versions of ourselves.
Courtney did the most incredible job with making us feel so beautiful and confident. I will forever feel grateful to Courtney for that feeling alone.
While my sister and I were chatting with Courtney as she did our hair and make-up, my sister brought up how both of us were super unclear on how to do the bustle on my wedding dress. Turns out, Courtney worked at a bridal shop for a number of years and offered to look at the dress to help us. She looked at it and showed us a much easier version of how to bustle it.
At this point in time, we found out very last minute that the photographer we hired was unable to take pictures of our wedding. Courtney jumped on her phone and called a friend who was a wedding photographer, and he his wife were able to jump in a car and drive over an hour to our wedding. We would not have been able to find a photographer on our own. My husband and I would not have pictures if it wasn't for Courtney and her kindness and willingness to help.
At this point in time, my sister, who is 8+ months pregnant, ripped a hole in her maternity matron of honor dress. Courtney offered to sew the hole in her dress! Unfortunately, the hole was too large to be sewed and luckily we just so happened to have a back-up, so crisis averted, but Courtney, again, was there to help.
Courtney stayed afterwards to help capture moments on her cell phone, she helped to bustle my dress, held the flash when her photographer friends came, and touched up my hair and make-up through out the evening.
Courtney really saved the day. I would've been beyond thrilled with how she made my sister and I feel after hair and make-up, but she did so much more. She is just a really great and incredible person, and I am so lucky to have had her there with me. Courtney, I'm truly and forever grateful for you!

Courtney is AWESOME! I definitely recommend doing a trial before your wedding - she helped me experiment to find the perfect look for my wedding. Not only was my makeup (airbrush) flawless & hair stayed put all night, Courtney was so easy going. I felt like she was a friend hanging out with us & getting ready. She helped calm my nerves the day of & was more than hair & makeup! I can't speak highly enough of her

Courtney was great! She is soo friendly, and has great work! She was easy to communicate with and flexible. Her pricing is good and I would recommend her for weddings! I used her for my wedding and I love how my final product turned out. She knows how to do makeup well and listens to what the client wants.

I’m not one to wear a lot of make-up and I was hesitant to hire a make-up artist. I was worried I wouldn’t quite look like “myself” on my wedding day. After my trial with Courtney, I knew I had nothing to fear. She gave me the natural look I was going for and I felt so beautiful looking in the mirror after she was finished. Also, the make-up looked flawless in the photographs!

Courtney and her assistant were absolutely AMAZING. Courtney was quick with responses and was flexible with the changes I made and then took back a few days later. She was so personable and made sure everyone was comfortable and felt their best! She even was ready to stick up for me with issues I was having at my venue. I couldn’t have asked for a better makeup artist!

It was an absolute pleasure having Courtney do bridal makeup for me and my girls. Everyone was so happy with their looks because she really listened to what they wanted while having the expertise to advise on what would look best. She is so lovely to be around as well as being so organized, friendly and talented. I would highly recommend Courtney as a makeup artist!!!

Courtney was amazing from start to finish! She made all my bridesmaids and mother look beautiful, & made me feel like a princess for my wedding day. Everyone was raving all night how great our makeup looked. Not to mention after hours of dancing, it still looked amazing! I can’t thank her enough for everything!

Choosing Courtney to do makeup for my girls and I for our wedding was such a great decision!

We had to reschedule due to COVID, and she was so flexible in finding a date that worked for both of us! She was responsive and helpful every step of the way! She is SO talented and made my girls and me look and feel incredibly beautiful!

Working with Courtney was an absolute dream. She was super flexible when scheduling my trial, and absolutely nailed the look I was going for, despite me not giving her much direction at all. My makeup looked exactly the same on my wedding day and lasted all the way through the after party. On the day-of, Courtney and her assistant were right on time, and had a game plan in place for knocking out makeup for all 9 of us. Courtney is also super easy to talk to, which is important when choosing someone to be up in your face for 1+ hours. Because she often does work for editorial shoots, film, etc, Courtney did a great job of making sure our makeup looked great both in real life and in photographs. I definitely recommend her to any brides looking for wedding day makeup in the DMV area!
