My name is Jason, and I want to share with you the story behind Country Tinker!
After returning home from my service in the army, I found myself at a crossroads, unsure of my next steps. For the first year and a half, I used my savings to satisfy my adventurous spirit and explore my passions. During this time, I met my wife, Alyssa, which added a wonderful new chapter to my life.
However, I soon realized that my savings were dwindling, and it was time to find a job. I spent the next few years working in construction, gaining valuable experience along the way, but I knew that this wasn’t my long-term path. The desire to work for myself began to grow stronger.
I took up woodworking as a hobby, and with Alyssa’s encouragement, I decided to try selling a few pieces. It didn’t take long before I was receiving orders, and my passion turned into a thriving venture. I began creating custom pieces for the wedding industry, which I truly enjoyed and became a significant source of income.
In 2022, after the birth of our son, Alyssa and I recognized the need to think bigger and strive for a better future. This realization led us to expand our offerings to include event rentals and high-end custom work. While the journey has certainly had its challenges, I’m grateful to be pursuing the work I love and am excited about what the future holds.
