Located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Country Barn is an event space for couples searching for an elegant barn wedding venue. After hosting the first wedding in 2005, owner Farmer Jim began the renovation process to restore both large barns while keeping its historic elements intact. Elegant yet rustic, the 80-acre working farm offers three renovated barn venues and outdoor ceremony sites throughout the property. With their family-oriented environment, they hope to fulfill a couple’s dreams of a beautiful country wedding while showcasing their historic farm property.
Facilities and Capacity
A cobblestone walk leads to the historic 1866 Country Barn Stable built of brick and stone. Inside, exposed wooden beams, stone walls, and hardwood floors provide a beautiful backdrop for up to 300 guests. On the upper floor of the barn is the Country Barn Loft, similarly decorated to match the lower banquet area, but capable of seating 400 guests. The second barn, the Manor View Barn, provides both the upper and lower portions of the barn to couples when booking this event space. Holding up to 300 guests, this barn is often used in combination with an outdoor ceremony on the landscaped grounds. Connected to the Country Barn Stable is the Courtyard, an open, stone-paved area that may be used for a social area for cocktail or hors d’oeuvres hour. Another outdoor space is the lawn of the Red Brick Farmhouse, which features the historic red brick walkway and farmhouse as the backdrop. Other event spaces are available outside on the Manor View Grounds, such as in front of the inn, the pergola on the lawn, or the side lawn.
Country Barn's all-inclusive packages and unique customization selections are designed to fully take care of a couple’s needs for their wedding day. The venue can also supply tables, chairs, linens, china, punch fountains, lighting, and other amenities to create a stunning atmosphere for couples and their guests.
Each of the Country Barn’s wedding packages include farm-to-fork catering, where some of the food is sourced directly from the working farm. Their offerings include everything from a full presentation pig to hors d’oeuvres to sides. Couples may attend a tasting of their selections for their buffet-style reception, as well as the desserts and chosen hors d’oeuvres. Barware, china, flatware, glassware, and linens are supplied along with catering. The barn can also provide bartenders to serve any alcohol couples have provided at their event.
Out-of-town guests may book lodging at the Manor View Inn on the barn’s property. Couples also often book a room to use as a dressing room during the day and for overnight accommodations on the wedding night.
