Everyone we spoke to recommended having our catering done by Mark's Place. I'm so glad we did. They were organized, professional and had an exceptional menu. They understood that we wanted our food to be part of the focus of our day and they did not disappoint. I even spotted a server going out of his way to find my mom to deliver her the last of our shrimp skewer appetizers. We decided on small deserts instead of ordering a separate wedding cake. We were able to create a delicious, personalized menu within our budget. We created our own wedding cocktails and everything came out perfect!

After reading all the great reviews we knew we had to go with Contemporary Flavors Catering! They were so flexible in helping us plan a menu that was special to us. They provided us with several options and quotes to choose from so we could make the right decision that fit our needs and budget. We opted for passed appetizers during our HH (Kalua pork sliders with pineapple slaw, shrimp skewers marinated in lemongrass caramel, gyoza with spicy ginger soy vinaigrette, and brie cheese on crostini with pineapple and macadamia nut chutney) They were AMAZING! We had a dinner buffet and in my opinion is some of the best on the island. Everything was fresh and savory and presented so well. Our guests were quite full after dinner! They even created a donut and malasada station for us! We really can’t thank them enough for putting so much effort into preparing, cooking and serving such delicious food. It’s clear that they take pride in their work as it shows! The bartenders, servers, and bussers are also to thank. They were organized, speedy and professional. I would highly recommend CFC for your next wedding or event!

We made the right choice for our lovely wedding by choosing Contemporary Flavors. They were excellent!!! And the food was amazing too!!

I hired Contemporary Flavors to cater my destination wedding and it was far and away the best wedding food I've ever had. I've been to around 25 weddings so this is no small feat.

Their standard catering menu has a ton of delicious options, and they were even able to accommodate a couple off-menu dishes we requested. We also sprung for the whole roast pig and flambe station which were both big hits.

A couple days before the wedding, we dropped by their storefront in Lihue called Mark's Place for lunch to get a sense of how good the wedding food might be. Turns out they serve the best loco moco I've ever had, so we had high expectations going into the wedding and were not disappointed - their food is legit incredible! The service was excellent as well, they saved and brought us appetizer and dinner plates while we were busy chatting up our guests.

My family is from Kauai and knew CFC is the best on the island! We hired them for my large wedding and were so happy about it. Just because we had a large wedding doesn't mean we have to sacrifice quality! The food was SPECTACULAR!! We let them do their thing. Mark picked an awesome menu - we had no changes because everything sounded so good I was salivating when I read the menu! And ho- they did not disappoint - everything was SO ONO!! CFC had cocktails and water ready for before the ceremony, a huge local spread for cocktail hour, and the most amazing dinner displays. The displays were spectacular and the food done to perfection. Some of my favorite stations was the prime rib, sashimi/poke/sushi, duck bao buns, noodle stations, and MORE. There was so much Ono food we were so so lucky!! We even had CFC do our cakes and they were so Ono. Mine was guava and his was the chocolate bomb I think. My husband's family is from the Mainland and said they had never had better food at a wedding EVER! We showed them the Aloha spirit and Mark and his team at CFC did an even better job than anything I could have every hoped for!!

We planned our wedding from Sydney, Australia and they were so accommodating and helpful. Not to mention the food was raved about by ALL of our guests. The waitstaff was extremely attentive and Wendy (point of contact) was always available for any questions we had. I would highly recommend using them for any event you may have!

After doing a ton of research to find the best wedding catering company on Kauai, I was lucky enough to come across Contemporary Flavors Catering. The guests were raving about how delicious our food was and we couldn't agree more.

I had the unique experience of being a wedding planner professionally for several years and THEN being a bride. I knew I needed to find a company that was professional, responsive, known for great food and reasonably priced. From our very first consultation we were ready to book. They were willing to customize menu items for our guests and they even made suggestions for things we didn't think of.

Each staff member that arrived on the wedding day was very professional, easy to talk to and attentive to our needs. Our water glasses were always full, the bar was a hit all night long and the food tasted as if it was right off the grill. They were even kind enough to agree to moving our chairs from ceremony to reception, this is a huge headache so we are grateful they were able to accommodate us!

We honestly cannot say enough A-MAZING things about the food and service provided by Contemporary Flavors Catering (CFC). Our guests RAVED about the meal, absolutely no complaints. Many of our guest stated that our wedding meal was the best meal that they had during their entire time in Hawaii. Getting in contact with CFC before the wedding was a little difficult as they were very busy, but the service and the food that they delivered during the wedding was worth it. I cannot recommend them enough as a catering provider in Hawaii. The food was the highlight our our wedding.

We were so happy with the food at our wedding. It was delicious, simple, presented well and creative. We especially loved our shaved ice station!

The best catered food I've EVER had. Ever. We asked CF to cater our wedding of 95, asking for a menu that incorporated mainly local ingredients, and gave them a guideline of flavor profiles we like. What they came back with was perfection. Perfectly cooked fish and risotto for 95 people. Most items were cooked on location, along with a donut cake they topped with orchids and paired with chocolate and passion fruit sauce.
The caterer was open to executing (and did!) any and all ideas we had, the staff was professional, and most importantly, the food was perfect.
