If I could give six stars I would. My mother asked me for her information so dhe could also review we were so impressed. She was sending us timelines, in constant and easily available communication, and made sure I was not worried about time or order day of without making me feel rushed. Two people have asked me for her information. Couldn't recommend enough!

My husband and I are both active duty Navy and do not live in the same state we got married in. Jan and Cyndi came to our rescue and guided us through the planning process with expertise and grace. The entire event would not have been possible without them. If you want a great value experience where any concern you have is promptly answered, backed with years of experience, then we recommend Going to the Chapel. If you are hesitant about hiring a wedding planner, don’t be. The extra “cost” is well worth the stress that comes with planning a wedding. My husband and I both were out of state and Jan gave me piece of mind every time I called her. I had some unexpected family health issues come up right before my wedding and Jan completely rearranged appointments and worked with vendors to help make my wedding day very special. She is very organized and thorough. Not to mention she is so sweet but stern when she needs to be. YOU WILL NOT REGRET JAN WISE

Working with Jan Wise was the best decision I made when planning our wedding. When we first started out she set meetings with all of our possible vendors which ultimately led to us having the most fabulous team on our actual wedding day. As the wedding got closer she was on top of timelines, our payments due, proofreading everything, and consistently brought things to my attention that I would have never even thought of. About two weeks before our wedding I sent her a long rambling email and Jan responded calmly and reassured me everything I asked about she had under control and that’s exactly what she was there for.
Our actual wedding day was a dream come true and I know it’s because of Jan. I was worried about the venue set up and she assured that it not only met our expectations but exceeded them. My husband and I were exactly on time and where we needed to be, thank you to Jan’s timeline. If there were any snags I was unaware because handled them perfectly.
Even after the wedding she followed up with things that had been left behind, including a few precious family heirlooms that meant a lot to get back.
If given the choice I would absolutely work with Jan and Going to the Chapel again, and I highly recommend you hire her. All of your wedding needs and worries will be taken care of.

Jan was absolutely paramount to the success of our wedding and the smooth flow throughout the entire day. We paid for the full service contract with Jan and she was more than worth the money! She especially helped with coordination throughout the planning process while my husband and I were unable due to work or deployments. When the endeavor of planning our wedding began; Colleen and I sat down and discussed a number of topics we felt that together would cause us a number of stresses throughout the entire planning process.
One night Colleen says to me " I feel that we need a wedding planner!". I thought out the gate that she was certainly crazy! I mean who really ever needs a wedding planner?!
Colleen could sense my hesitancy. She said " Brian! I don't can't what you think! I feel that the cost would totally be worth every bit of stress that we don't have to endure!"
So.... Cue Jan Wise and Going To The Chapel!
From the start Jan was amazing! She was thoughtful, motherly, understanding, patient and kind. You see; we were getting married in Annapolis, Maryland. The only problem with this was that we weren't exactly in Annapolis, Maryland. Colleen and I both work for the Department of Defense. Colleen as active duty navy and I as a civilian employee. Jan was to be our boots on the ground.
To say she thought of everything was an understatement! Jan went well beyond our expectations. She created and managed a day that proved to be the happiest we both had ever had. Jan's attention to detail is only shadowed by one thing... her knowledge and resourcefulness to pull off what seems like the impossible! From hair and makeup to transportation to DJ's; Jan never let us down. She had vendors for days with backgrounds and accolades equaling almost her own.
From the initial establishment of our relationship with Jan until days after our wedding Jan was there. The late night phone calls, the weekend almost meltdowns, the last minute details a day before the wedding were flawlessly executed by Jan Wise.
I don't think there is enough that I can say about her services.
If you find yourself getting married in the Annapolis area; I'd feel you'd be remissed is you did not consider Jan and the amazing services she provides.

It is hard to truly express in words how amazing Jan and Going to the Chapel was for our special day.

I knew day one on the phone that I loved Jan. Instantly, her calming demeanor helped me through planning our wedding in Annapolis, while I was stationed in Seattle, and she also assisted in dealing with strong family personalities.

She was available for us almost 24/7, thought of things we did not think of, and ensured our guest were taken care of throughout the weekend.

The amount of work she puts in start to finish is well under what she charges for.

Our wedding was perfect thanks to Jan. She went out of her way numerous times and truly made everything perfect.

Jan handled all logistics from last minute catering issues (she brought in an assistant to help Maureen who was also AMAZING), assured all printed items were proofread (this is a God Send come seating chart time) access to the Naval Academy and a few new rules at USNA we had to adjust to.

We truly feel blessed to have worked with Jan, we are forever grateful for her services and also are lucky to have gained a wonderful friend.
