We were looking for an editorial look for our wedding photography, and fell in love with the images we had seen from Chaz Cruz. 

Chaz was incredibly easy to work with - always so prompt in his replies, happy to answer questions, and had an amazingly detailed questionaire for us to fill out ahead of the wedding so that both he and his team knew exactly what we were after. The timeline he provided was also perfect, and left us knowing that our day would go smoothly!

Although Chaz himself was not available to shoot our day, we won the lottery when we hired his associate, Celeste. Not only is she a true artist (we just received our huge sneak peek and every image is amazing) but she brought us so much joy. She was so much fun to be around all day, directed our family with such ease, charm, and efficiency during portraits (what a gift), and was the perfect ‘fly on the wall’ when she needed to be. She is so skilled at capturing not just beautiful posed portraits, but incredible candid moments.

We feel so lucky to have been able to work with both Chaz and Celeste and can’t recommend them enough!

Chaz is more than just a photographer--he helped my husband with his pocket square, he was attentive and grabbed my purse whenever I needed, he was calm when giving updates on delays, he was a visionary, a comfort, and a professional. His energy is warm, uplifting, and enthusiastic. His work is detail orientated and full of spirit. From our first interview with him to the days following the wedding, he was communicative and caring.

I'll never forget the moment of seeing Chaz take photographs of the windy trees during our rehearsal dinner (right before it started pouring rain) and thinking, "I'm so glad Chaz is here." From the unexpected to the beautiful, I knew he would capture the authenticity of every moment and gosh did he deliver. His work speaks for itself in its aliveness but to experience first hand what it's like to be in front of his lens is truly something special. I felt completely at ease and I know our family and friends did too. What we've seen so far has moved us to tears--he captured our love.

The Sunday after our wedding, our friend said to us, "you don't need your wedding photographer to be someone you want to be friends with, but it's pretty cool when it happens." It absolutely is.

On the wedding day itself, Chaz guided us every step of the way, providing helpful direction while putting us completely at ease in front of the camera. The quality of Chaz's work is simply exceptional - he truly captured all of our best moments with skill and artistry. We knew from the first time we saw Chaz's portfolio that we wanted him to photograph our wedding. His amazing talent was evident, and we could not be happier that we chose Chaz to document the most

Can’t recommend Chaz more. He was so amazing and everyone commented on how great he was. He was literally getting me (bride) water and fixing my hair. We had a unique wedding and he created a unique package just for us. He was such a hype man and would take any pics we wanted. Everything was so efficient and I can’t wait to see the final product! He is so nice and down to earth. Would honestly want him as just a guest!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Chaz. Besides his incredible talent, he is such an amazing and warm person to work with. He made us feel so comfortable and really cared about what we wanted. We had to postpone our wedding due to covid, and he was so accommodating and made us feel calm during such a chaotic time. Our photos came out STUNNING!! He delivers everything promised and more. We are so grateful to Chaz and his team for the beautiful memories we now have to look back on!!

My husband and I knew we wanted Chaz to be our photographer before we knew any other detail. We have only heard amazing things, from both wedding industry professionals and friends who also hired him. From the start, Chaz was incredible. We had multiple meetings leading up to the event, making sure he had a clear understanding of every element. His website and team make it super easy to fill out any worksheets/information they needed in order to help Chaz bring our vision to life. We honestly became friends with Chaz and loved him prior to actually meeting him in person on our big day as a result of all the work he put into getting to know us.
The day could not have been more perfect. He made us feel like models, and all of our guests raved about how awesome he was. He made taking pictures not feel like work, and actually had a lot of fun throughout. We have only seen the sample pictures (so far) and are they far exceeded our expectations. Hiring Chaz Cruz was without a doubt the best decision we made, and we plan to hire him again for all of our future milestone events.

I cannot give Chaz enough praise. First off, he is the sweetest and most genuine dude. He makes you feel so comfortable. My husband and I both hate posing for photos, but Chaz made those moments joyful and fun. You can see it all in the results. The photos are personal, gorgeous, and unpretentious. I could not be happier. Chaz has an amazing eye for detail and was able to capture so many special moments that I feel could have been lost to memory with someone else's lens. This is the person you want to be at your wedding to preserve the magic of it all.

Chaz is INCREDIBLE. He goes far above and beyond to get to know you as a couple and understand the day's highlights to capture the most special moments. His style is sleek, unobtrusive, efficient, and fun. The pictures he took are far beyond our wildest expectations and easy to access/share from his well-designed website. We can't recommend him highly enough!

Go with Chaz Cruz for your wedding. You won't regret it! ... Chaz and his team took the pictures for our summer 2017 wedding in the Hudson Valley. We were introduced to him by a mutual friend who's a photographer herself; she said "I'd have sold one of my limbs to have Chaz shoot my wedding, except that he wasn't available." That seemed a bit hyperbolic, but once we started working with Chaz--and certainly when we got our photo portfolio after the wedding-- we totally understood why she recommended him so unreservedly. Chaz has an incomparable eye; he's organized and easygoing; his manner is disarming, positive, and light with the unique situations that come with family wedding pictures. He uses a pre-wedding survey that helped our conversation with him move smoothly, and also helped my husband and me ask our own more-detailed questions for our own planning purposes. He integrated well with the rest of our vendor team. He and his teammate Brian simply kicked ass on our wedding day, which included a surprise torrential thunderstorm that blew away our table settings and upended our planned itinerary. Somehow, Chaz and Brian captured everything beautifully, and at the same time were present to us and our needs and felt like reassuring friends who were there for us (Chaz helped me tie my neck-tie too). When the storm started, I have a distinct memory of Brian coming to find me and putting a cocktail in my hand. Yes! ... Our other vendors are as thrilled with the photos as we are. Best of all, along the journey, we found a real friend in Chaz, and that easy, friendly demeanor is I'm sure a key to what makes his photo work so damn good. Thank you, Chaz!

My husband and I had the most wonderful experience working with Chaz for our wedding and can't possibly recommend him enough. As a person, Chaz is warm, friendly and enthusiastic. He was also so much more modest than some of the other photographers who had half of his talent. We loved him immediately and, within seconds of meeting him, we knew that we'd love to spend our special day (and a few others, like our engagement shoot) with him and his team.

If you have seen Chaz's photos, you already know that he's a super star. He has an amazing eye for capturing the essence of his clients. Every single person who saw our wedding and engagement photos said that they were so personal and natural, as if they were getting a glimpse into what we were like when we were alone. And we felt the same way. We never thought that someone could capture our relationship as beautifully as Chaz did and we are so grateful to have so many gorgeous photos to cherish throughout our lives together.
