My husband and I were delighted with the quality of the food and service at catering beyond borders. We're an Indian-American couple, and had Indian & Mexican food at our fusion wedding. The food was excellent, and we've had so many friends tell us it was some of the best wedding food they've had. The Indian food was spot-on (even according to the Indians at our wedding), and the Mexican food was a huge hit. Mark and Esther were wonderful in working to find dishes that we loved that fit within an affordable price range. We highly recommend Catering Beyond Borders.

My fiance and I wanted wedding catering that would reflect us - international, spicy and flavorful. We did not want your average wedding fare. After a lot of searching we found Catering Beyond Borders and it turned out to be the perfect fit. CBB specializes in international cuisine and works with local Portland restaurants that serve a variety of cuisines from Indian, Thai, South American, Mexican, etc.

Richard, our contact, was a pleasure to work with and really worked to make sure they were providing what we wanted. Starting with a survey to gauge our level of adventurousness with cuisines, to spiciness, service style - they worked with us to create a menu that fit our "Around the World" theme. He was great making sure that we would be able to cater to those with allergies and dietary restrictions as well. And they worked with our budget to make sure that we were able to get the service and food we wanted without compromising.

Richard was great with all the little details as well. From explaining how the family service would run, to helping us select flatware and place-settings, meeting us for a walk-through at the venue and even including the graphics from our invite in our custom menu for the reception.

On the day of the reception, everything went smoothly. They were there early to set up and the service staff met with me to discus once more how everything would run. The tables looked great and worked with our decorations perfectly. The service itself went smoothly and family style worked great for our guests. Everyone was impressed with the menu and the dishes pleased even our most difficult guests (a few vegans and my hot sauce happy family). There was more than enough food. Everyone was happy and stuffed by the end of the meal.

I'd definitely recommend them for anyone who wants unique, international and affordable catering for their wedding. I can't say enough good things - Catering Beyond Borders was wonderful.

We set up a greek menu with CBB and they rocked it. The food was delicious, my guests loved it, but more importantly I loved it! They really worked with me on menu options, price and the best accessory choices. The only suggestion I would make is that they would seem more professional if they had an office set up for initial consultations. All in all they were awesome!
