I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cater to Me - they truly made my wedding special. In the planning process, it was difficult to find a caterer in Hawaii that was responsive, and on top of that, to find something easy to work with on having great vegetarian options. The groom is vegetarian and it was important for me for the good to taste great and be unique. Christian, the owner, worked with me throughout the process, answering questions, securing rentals, heading out for a site visit without me, and meeting me with the on-site manager two days before the wedding. I felt completely comfortable in their hands, and for a small event (30 people), I received top-notch service.

The day of the wedding only got better. Our food was completely top notch. We had a plethora of unique veggie items including okinawan sweet potato curry, spring rolls, summer rolls, roasted artichokes, and asparagus. Our other options with crispy pork buns and the chicken skewers were equally delicious and my guests could not get over how good the food tasted. In addition, the service was incredibly personal and the crew was so hard-working. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for an outstanding caterer in Oahu.

Do not use Cater-to Me (C2M)! The owner, Christian, is rude, unprofessional and couldn't care less about customer service. Lest anyone think my review is too harsh, I’ll say that early on Christian was flexible and helped us create dishes that weren't on the menu. We did passed apps at cocktail hour and family style dinner. The food was delicious. But, that is where my positive experience ends. So what went wrong? Everything. We paid for 2 bartenders but he only staffed one. His staff forgot to pour the Champagne for both the first AND second toast. They did not follow directions re: which wines to serve when, and didn't even begin pouring until after the 2nd course was already served! My wedding planner literally picked up bottles and started wine service because she could see I was about to do it myself. He was contracted to provide 1 staff per 8 guests but delivered more like 1 to 15. The staff was unprofessionally dressed and more interested in smoking than serving food. We had contracted for 2 signature drinks to be pre-poured and served, but they only made one. C2M did not clarify that they weren't providing any of the bar service items and it was an 11th hour scramble to obtain these. He did not provide anything to serve the coffee in, so our guests did not have coffee with dessert even though we paid for it. His staff showed tremendous disrespect for the property (a private residence, my mom's house) and left trash in the patio plus let ice melt and form puddles on the house floor! Christian's attitude was ‘not my fault.’ I attempted to make-good with him after the wedding but he has been totally unresponsive. I don't know what kind of clients he’s worked with, but his customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and do NOT hire C2M. They will appear flexible and accommodating early on, but the delivery is a huge mess. I cannot stress enough how his service, or lack thereof, nearly ruined our wedding.
