I’m a biracial bride with Type 3C curls, and I was adamant about wearing my natural hair on my wedding day. But I’ll be honest — I hadn’t let a professional touch my hair in over five years. Finding the right stylist was absolutely crucial for me; I wanted to be pampered on my wedding day, not stressed or forced to do my own hair.

When I came across Cashmeir Bridal, I immediately noticed their Instagram was full of diversity! Brides of every race, skin tone, and hair type. That instantly had me interested. When I reached out, Cashmeir, the owner, was warm and communicative from the very beginning. I’m a nervous bride by nature, so I asked if I could speak directly with the stylist who would actually be doing my hair (since it wasn’t Cashmeir due to location), and she understood completely. She quickly connected me with Tangiah — and from our very first video call, over a year before my wedding, I felt totally at ease. Her daughter has the same hair type as mine, and she answered every single question thoughtfully and thoroughly.

My trial was set for August, about a month before the wedding. But I’ll admit — I got nervous again! I reached out a few more times to make sure I was prepared, and both Cashmeir and Tangiah were so kind and patient. Tangiah even hopped on another call to walk me through what to bring and recommended extensions (which I now recommend EVERY curly-haired bride consider — especially if you deal with shrinkage!). It was a total game changer!!

By the end of my trial, I couldn’t believe how beautiful my hair looked — it was truly the most stunning my natural curls have ever been. Tangiah is insanely talented at working with curls, and she worked quickly while still giving every detail attention.

On the wedding day itself, she was a dream. My bridal party was incredibly diverse — from White girls with straight, fine hair to thick Asian hair to tight Dominican curls — and she made every single person look like they just walked off a runway. She was ahead of schedule, flexible with little requests, and her energy kept us all calm and happy. Personally, I’ve never felt more like myself. I didn’t have to change or straighten my hair to fit anyone’s idea of “bridal beauty.” Tangiah made me feel stunning exactly as I am.

Beyond her incredible skill, Tangiah is warm, funny, and so personable. She had the best stories, kept us laughing all morning, and made the atmosphere feel like home. I’ve already saved her info for future events — that’s how much I loved working with her!

And I can’t say enough about Cashmeir herself. Even when there was a small miscommunication about pricing and services, she handled it with complete professionalism, grace, and care. She was accommodating, ensured I was taken care of, and followed through on every promise.

Whether you’re a curly-haired bride or not, hiring Cashmeir Bridal was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day. I recommend them wholeheartedly and without a single reservation. Where do I start?! I’ve had terrible experiences with hair and makeup artists before but I needed people for my wedding day so I was very hesitant to hire anyone too quickly. It was actually my MOH who spoke to Cash first (at the LA Bridal Convention) my MOH also shared the terrible experiences with me therefore we were in the hunt for trustworthy professionals. My MOH was sold right away and was selling me on the idea. After talking to Cash (the most understanding, caring, and down to earth professionals I’ve ever worked with) I was sold. She even gave me her personal phone number when I shared with her the reason for my hesitation. Not only did she reassure me when we first met but she backed it up through the whole process of my wedding planning journey. She was always available to talk to me when o had doubts and even went above and beyond to break things down for me in detail. This was really important to me because details get overlooked or lost in the madness of dealing with multiple vendors and deciding on countless things for the wedding. Cash then worked with me budget-wise, timing, and my indecisive bridal party (again because of our previous experiences). She was my calm in the chaos and my favorite of all vendors. For my trial and my big day, she sent us her best gals for the job. My mom fell in love with them and I did too. I always dreamed of the classic Hollywood glam look for my wedding day but never in a million years did I think I could pull it off and sure enough her ladies: Juline and Evanna made the magic happen. They listened to everyone of my concerns and desires and unlike other artists they actually listened and worked with me so that it was amazing the day of. On the day of my wedding they went above and beyond, they were amazing hype gals and even reminded my bridesmaids of their duties. And throughout the ENTIRE process Cash was right by my side personally making sure that everything was perfect for my day of. I’m so sad that they only do weddings because it was the BEST experience I’ve ever had with a vendor. I’m forever grateful to Cash and her team.
