We hired Tuhin for our wedding cake. We were very excited to have an ice cream cake for our wedding cake (neither of us like traditional wedding cakes). We were very pleased at the amount of flavors we could choose from (or make up), and the decorating options! An ice cream wedding cake, is definitely more expensive than a traditional cake so it may not be for everyone.
Tuhin treated us very well on every visit. Taste testings galore every time! After the wedding we had some leftovers and Tuhin made that into a new-looking sheet cake for us! He also said he will make us a cake for our 1-year anniversary (thank goodness we don't have to have a freezer burned cake!).
Tuhin was very clear with our vendor on when and how long the cake should be out on display (about 30ish minutes). Unfortunately our reception vendor did not listen to the regulations and put the cake out much earlier. It started to melt, but apparently only my husband and I noticed. We've asked guests since the wedding and no one noticed, even those sitting next to it! We were shocked. It still tasted amazing none the less. I highly recommend being VERY clear with your vendor about how long it should be out and maybe have someone in your wedding party check up and make sure they are adhering to it.
Our guests still talk about the cake. Everyone loves ice cream cake, and were all surprised at how elegant it looked. Very pleased.
