LOVE Camp Wright - An Insider's Spot on the Bay

What an incredible start to wedding weekend hosting our rehearsal dinner @ CW! CW's staff provided excellent advice on moving our event into the dining room with a storm coming. They helped decorate for the new location and made the shift painless for us -- we loved the view of the Bay and yet we were inside! For a large wedding, I would highly recommend CW for a rehearsal dinner -- along with Cara, and her accommodating staff to support your event. A gorgeous location that contributes to a great cause and a wonderful camp. This spot is magical in many ways and our guests loved being in a place on the Bay where they had never been, an insider's peek! Thank you Cara & Camp Wright for kicking off our wedding weekend with grace, beauty, and love for Christina & Patrick!

Absolutely AMAZING venue on the water!

Camp Wright was the PERFECT venue for our wedding this past weekend. Cara went above and beyond to keep things running smoothly. Throughout the whole planning process, she was very responsive and helpful. On our wedding day, the camp looked stunning, and we had a gorgeous sunset on the Bay that looked amazing in photos. We loved the laid-back vibe of getting married at the summer camp, but it still looked so classy under the bistro lights. Our guests also loved coming to Kent Island for the wedding weekend, making it a bit of a destination wedding on the water but still very accessible from anywhere in Maryland. Honestly, I can't say enough good things. Thank you Cara and Camp Wright!

Best Day Ever

Our daughter grew up attending and working as a counselor at Camp Wright so choosing it as her venue was a no brainer. So glad she made this decision. Cara was beyond helpful and thought of everything that we needed to make our day perfect. The setting on the Chesapeake Bay is beautiful as are the camp grounds. From the cabin where the bridal party got ready to the sparkling clean bathrooms to the twinkle lights lining the boardwalk - every little detail made it a magical day for our daughter. Highly recommend!

Deciding to have our wedding at Camp Wright was the BEST decision we made in our wedding planning process. The camp is a beautiful location overlooking the Bay Bridge. We saw eagles and other birds flying overhead over the weekend and jellyfish while we were kayaking. We wanted a venue where our guests could enjoy an entire weekend together and not just a few hours during the ceremony and reception. Camp Wright was the perfect fit. Our guests enjoyed a dinner and bonfire and s'mores on Friday, kayaking, swimming, tennis, and volleyball on Saturday during the day, and a beautiful ceremony in the outdoor chapel and reception in the pavilion on Saturday evening. Sunday morning we paid for the camp to provide breakfast, which was a delicious and easy way to end the weekend. Cara, our hostess for the weekend and the rest of the crew, was 1000 times more helpful than we could have ever imagined. They thought of all kinds of little details and just helped out in any way they could over the weekend, really going above and beyond! If you are interested in a summer camp wedding, Camp Wright is definitely the right choice.
