I can't say enough great things about Rumy! Her cakes are the perfect balance of flavor and texture, which we discovered during the very classy and private tasting session. My fiance and I were looking for a very specific cake flavor: chocolate banana, which wasn't on Rumy's flavor list. She immediately agreed to make her own version of the flavor for us, and she knocked it out of the park! We loved her cakes so much we ordered 3 flavors, and she did the math perfectly on how many servings we would need for all of our guests. She also baked us a variety of donuts, which were the hit of the party, and were devoured immediately. We loved Rumy and everything she added to our wedding!

Everything looked exactly how we wanted it to. The flavors and quality were amazing. We ordered 1 2tier wedding cake, 2 small cakes and an assortment of parfaits, macaroons, cupcakes, cake pops and tarts. Everything tasted great and looked adorable. The price was VERY reasonable. Cheaper than most places I found. They delivered on time and set everything up. Great service!

Who knew selecting the right cake could be so much fun! Rumy is so professional and personable that she makes the entire cake planning process such a positive experience. Our wedding had a floral/hummingbird theme, and she was able to create these adorable hummingbirds to top the cake along with a trail of a beautiful sugar flowers. I shared my invitation with her as well as some inspiration boards, and ta-da! She knew exactly what to do. I think this girl can make anything possible. Did I forget to mention the cake was impossibly delicious? We got the red velvet as well as the black and white cake. Rich, but not too rich. Sweet, but not too sweet. We did a cake tasting with her, and all of her cakes with fruit were delicious too.

My husband and I had such a good experience that we've referred her to anyone looking for a cake... and will continue to do so!

Cakes by Rumy is an extremely professional and personable bakeshop that will work diligently to customize a beautifully crafted wedding cake. Rumy has the experience and talent that made me completely trust her as my cake vendor. At our venue, Rumy and her staff even communicated with the restaurant crew to ensure the best handling of my five-tier purple and ivory mango vanilla fondant cake. Although Rumy specializes in wedding cakes, she also does remarkable specialty cakes and dessert bars for any occasion. I chose Cakes by Rumy for my aunt's 50th birthday party, my baby shower, and my daughter's baptism and first birthday. For a couple of these occasions, Rumy also set up a dessert bar with cake pops, cookies, mini cupcakes, and other goodies that 150+ guests absolutely loved and devoured! I own a LA-based food tour company, so quality, service, taste, and professionalism matter to me. Cakes by Rumy earns high marks in all of those categories!

Cakes by Rumy created a delicious and amazing cake for our summer beachside wedding. My husband has been getting my birthday cakes from Rumy, while we were dating, and it only seemed fit to continue to get our first cake as husband and wife from them. The flavor of the cakes are delicious, moist and fresh. The fondant has the perfect sweet to it and never over powering. Prices are reasonable but might seem high to some. Cakes are of high quality and worth every penny.

We used Cakes by Rumy for our wedding cake and dessert needs! Not only were our cakes beautiful and delicious, but the display was perfect! Rumy has a great eye and great detail.
I asked her to incorporate patterns from some of the fabric swatches that I had seen and liked, and she was able to translate it onto our cake, beautifully. We saved the top of our cake in the freezer to eat on our one year anniversary and it still tasted great!
Her cakes are little treasures, I even follow her on instagram because I love looking at her creations!

I was happy with our wedding cake. It was decorated as planned. However I was slightly disappointed with the color of the yellow sugar flowers - they just didn't appear as vibrant and seemed to be a slightly different color from the yellow strips on the cake. One thing that bothered me was how impersonal the experience was with Rumy's Cakes. I only got to speak with Rumy herself for the initial consultation. After that, I had tried to e-mail her more than once and got automatic replies that the e-mails were no longer in service. And when I called I would never get to talk to Rumy, I would have to leave a message and someone would get back to me, or I would have to communicate with her through another person on the phone...it just all felt very impersonal. Maybe it was because all of my other wedding vendors always talked to me directly whenever I had questions, and it was more reassuring that way. I wish I could say that I got to enjoy the cake, but unfortunately because of the busy wedding day, I only got to taste a small bite of the cake on the actual day. I know it doesn't sound like it but overall I was still happy with our cake!

We hired Cakes By Rumy for our wedding cake. During our initial cake tasting everything seemed perfect. Rumy had some great ideas for cake design. However, I was disappointed at how hard it was to get ahold of her. Since I do not live close to where she is based, it was almost impossible to get ahold of her via phone and I often had to wait a few days to get an email response.
Although our cake tasted good, it wasn't exactly close to the design we discussed. Our wedding colors were white, grey, and coral. The grey ended up looking closer to lavender :(.
