We bought a small (9-inch) non-wedding cake to display at our wedding reception on Nov. 1, 2014 at the Josephine Butler Parks Center in Washington, DC.

We didn't want to go the traditional route for a cake, so we bought a small display cake from CakeLove and had our caterer (Catering by Seasons) provide large sheet cakes for the rest of our guests.

Ordering online from CakeLove was a breeze, and we placed the order three weeks ahead of time. On the day of the reception, we were able to send a friend to pick it up without any hassle.

The cake itself was delicious (German Chocolate) and we would highly recommend CakeLove for any sort of function or event. Or if you happen to be walking by, get yourself a cupcake, they're awesome too!

Our guests still talk about how amazing our wedding cake was! Cake Love certainly impressed us with every aspect of selecting our cake ... to decorating it to delivering it as promised to enjoying that last slice! A-MAZ-ING!

My guests are still coming over to my house for more of my wedding cake! I love how CakeLove focuses on quality and taste and is not all about looks. I first went to a traditional wedding cake baker for a tasting before going to CakeLove. The cakes were extravagant and grandious but when it came to taste them it was like eating paper. It was dry and lacked flavor. My then fiance and I went to CakeLove in Silver Spring for a tasting and we couldnt stop eating! I knew CakeLove was the one for me. They arent big on decorations but they are big on taste and that's what's important to me. Let's start a revolution! Down with bland wedding cake! Go to CakeLove!

Our Cake Love cake was on the very simple end of what they can do, but it was SO delicious, you would never know it! I was so thrilled by how pretty the cake was and how quickly it was devoured! :)

We used CakeLove Cupcakes for our wedding and I couldn't be happier. Their customer service was awesome and everything was perfect. I would highly recommend that you book them if you want something a little different but don't want to sacrafice taste, quality, or customer service.

I love CakeLove! We got a cupcake tree with different flavors (my favorite is Ameretto!). People loved the cupcake idea - so much fun! A+++

I ordered my wedding cake from CakeLove in Shirlington, VA. I absolutely loved my wedding cake. I had a Vanilla cake with Vanilla Butter Cream frosting, and strawberries added for decoration. The quality of my wedding cake was superb and the flavor was amazing. I could tell CakeLove did not skimp on ingredients in my cake whatsoever. They did not use shortening or artificial ingredients; only butter was used to enhance flavor.

The only thing I did not like is that CakeLove does not have their own delivery service. I needed my cake delivered to my reception site, so I had to pay extra for a courier service (contracted directly through CakeLove) to deliver my cake. I would have preferred if the Bakery could have delivered my cake themselves.

We did a cupcake tower instead of a traditional wedding cake. The cupcakes stole the show! Everyone talked about them for weeks after the wedding. We sampled many cupcake vendors in the area and Cake Love was, hands down, the best quality. Some of the vendors are cheaper, but we didn't want to skimp on the cupcake quality and are really glad we didn't!
