Simply put, Caro (C & R Diamonds owner) is a visionary and true craftsman. The jewelry available in his store is exquisite, creative, and original. If nothing on display is quite right for you, he regularly makes custom pieces. During this process he is happy to redo he design (he sends great virtual renderings) until it's exactly what you want. His selection of gems is extraordinary. If you're like us and want something a little different from a diamond (which he also has plenty of), then Caro is a great resource. We ended up with a perfect high quality one carat tanzanite (my favorite stone) for my ring. In addition to having rare and unusual gems, he knows a lot *about* the stones. In our case he warned us against doing a traditional prong setting for the tanzanite since it's a softer stone and needs better protection, so we had it sunk in a beautiful octagonal rim (instead of a traditional circle halo). I hadn't planned on having the rim when we first started planning the ring, but the way it's designed highlights the stone even more and honestly it's my second favorite part of the ring (after the tanzanite, of course!). I love that my ring is truly one-of-a-kind, and would go to Caro for any jewelry needs.
