Buho Studio's founder and owner, Alejandra Cabrera, has made it her life's goal and passion to raise the bar and up the standard of videography.

Raised by a Peruvian family in a small Caribbean island by the name of the Dominican Republic. Although I lived there for 18 years of my life with the shore as my backyard, my real journey began when I brought myself to the big city of NYC in 2008. It opened up doors for me as an individual, where I finally fell out of my comfort zone and began to mature as a person and as a professional in my field.

Studied documentary film at the New York Film Academy, fashion, and nude photography in Peru. Cameras are my toys, my passion; I live my life through my lens. After nine years of experience in the visual arts now I made my bed in the beautiful city of Chicago, IL.

Choosing Alejandra to film our wedding was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire process! She is so amazingly talented, and captured everything so perfectly. We feel so lucky to have these amazing videos and to be able to relive one of the best days of our lives.

Alejandra was EXCELLENT. The quality of her work along with her attention to detail was excellent. She did an amazing job with our video. The editing was excellent and beyond professional. She is easy to work with. She was onetime and also delivered our finished product on time. I definitely recommend Buho Studio!

Buho studio videography was recommended to us by our photographer and we had a wonderful experience at our wedding in September 2015. From the first contact, Alejandra was extremely quick to respond and flexible. On the day of the wedding, both Alejandra and Sam were very friendly and professional - almost invisible, but always at the right place in the right moment. They both kept busy during the whole night, filming all the events as well as exterior and interior shots to include in the video. We got both the highlights (5 min) and full video (1 hr) back in a very short time; in fact we were able to watch it on our honeymoon! The videos are beautiful and very professionally edited and have exceeded our expectations. We feel lucky that we had Buho studio do our videography and would recommend them to anyone.

We first met Alejandra at our friends wedding, from our first meeting I knew she was going to do a phenomenal job! They were discrete about filming but at the same time captured everything we wanted! There’s no words of how happy we are with our videos! They are incredible! and we received them in only ONE week (when they she promised us a month). We would highly recommend Buho Studio to everyone, such an amazing job!

Words cannot describe how wonderful our experience was working with Buho Studio. For starters, Alejandra and her second shooter were extremely personable and had so many wonderful ideas for shots, that even our photographer was using those ideas for his photos. We were blown away by how everything was brought together in the highlight video. In 3:18 min video, it seemed like every essential detail was captured and we were reliving that magical day. I can't describe that feeling, but it's a feeling I wish all newlyweds could experience. Now as for the main video... there were moments that brought us to tears multiple times. It was like being right there again. The point I'm trying to make here is that I highly recommend anyone to go with Buho Studio. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
