Let’s be real.

We’ve all been to one of those weddings.

It begins with that same-old, boring, cookie-cutter ceremony you’ve heard a thousand times over. You find yourself checking your watch every 10 seconds, tapping your toe and wishing you could be anywhere but there.

As an engaged couple planning your own wedding, one thing’s for sure; YOU WANT SO MUCH MORE for your ceremony!

But, sadly, most Officiants still give you a choice of 3 or 4 old fashioned scripts and call it “your ceremony.

Your relationship isn’t like everyone else’s. It just doesn’t fit in a cold, impersonal cookie cutter script. You want your wedding ceremony to be just as unique as the 2 of you.

If you’re looking for anything but the “traditional” ceremony, you’re in the right place, because that’s what I do!

I’m Kristi, an A-Typical Wedding Officiant, Pre-Marriage Coach, serial foodie and wine lover.

For over 61/2 years, I’ve worked with modern, creative couples like you write one-of-a-kind ceremonies from scratch, inspired by the magic of their love story.

Sharing your story; how the 2 of you met, fell in love and got engaged with your family and friends on your wedding day is a beautiful way to create unforgettable memories and set your ceremony apart from all the rest!

I believe your love is like no other, deserving a wedding that celebrates your relationship and who the 2 of you are as a couple in a very personal way.

  • a unique bespoke (never-before-heard) ceremony that celebrates your love and everything that makes your relationship special

  • a fun, engaging out-of-the-box experience that inspires happy tears and even a belly laugh (or 2)!

  • working with an Officiant who invests in you and your vision, and passionate about breathing your love story to life!

If you’re looking for someone to make it legal by quickly pronounce you married, we’re probably not the best fit.

But, if you’re interested in beginning your lives together by creating unforgettable moments through ceremony you and your guests will never forget, we really need to connect!

Ask any of the couples I’ve worked with and they’ll tell you I LOVE what I do; this truly is my calling! I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Because we’re the only Officiant group offering this unique type of wedding ceremony, we book fast which means available dates are limited. Contact us today to learn how togethr we can set your ceremony apart from all of the rest!

Less than ideal. Read our experience... but probably keep looking

All about the money - no about the moments that should be special. The overall experience was less than ideal.

    The good:
Greg showed up, did a good job giving the ceremony and it was a special moment for us still; did not distract us from our special day. Pre-marriage coaching was good because it helped us go into marriage a little more proactive and being intentional about what we were stepping into (read the 'but' in the next section).

    The bad:
I don't regret the coaching - but think elsewhere or alternatively. We did the coaching with Kristi because she's the only one of her staff to that offers it (would loved to have coaching by the person who married us). But it was a very basic overview and generic algorithmic guide from a book that she follows, if an engaged couple was determined/disciplined enough you could do just as good going at it alone - or finding some other online coaching that would provide as good or better benefit to their future.

    The ugly:
We had an hour rain-delay (no big deal, right?) - the DAY AFTER OUR WEDDING we get a text message from Greg asking that we pay an extra $50 for the rain delay. $50 is no big deal really... but the principle and the level of class is awful. He also showed up 25 minutes late for our rehearsal ceremony wearing Tito's sunglasses and some childish looking shirt that didn't instill any confidence in him. Immediately pulled out his binder to get through stuff instead of acting like he cared about us. He was very short & unpleasant in helping us go through the rehearsal. Still wearing his Tito's sunglasses the day of our wedding, almost immediately after the ceremony he'd pushed us to sign the license and then he just left - any other officiant I would loved to force them to stay for dinner, but I was relieved to have him leave.

    In summary:
They did the job and didn't ruin our day; in thinking back on our day I wouldn't even think about that in the first 20 minute of reflecting on the day. But when I think about their job and the services rendered, I'm disappointed that I didn't spend more time looking or finding a friend to get licensed to present our ceremony. Kristi was okay in coaching but very disappointing the way she just hands our special moments off to someone we only talked with once... and trusts that's going to be okay (shame on us). Greg (our actual officiant) was absolutely disappointing; unprofessional and uninterested would be the best description for his role in our day.

    Brooks Wedding Ceremonies's reply:

Hello Kyle, thank you for taking the time to share your perspective.
I’m disappointed to hear your experience in working together over the past year was less than ideal. I enjoyed getting to know you and Maci and was honored to work with you both to write your beautiful love story ceremony.

I’m also sad to hear your experience with Greg was disappointing. This was his first time dealing with a delayed ceremony and he was not familiar with our late start policy. I agree per your signed Wedding Agreement it should have been handled the same day in person and not after the fact. I plan to address our policies in detail with my staff immediately to avoid this from becoming an issue going forward

I’d also like to address your comments on our work together through Pre-marriage Coaching. After our sessions ended, I felt encouraged because both you and Maci shared we had made progress in reaching the goals you both set, especially when receiving your positive feedback shared in your post coaching survey.

I take great pride in the level of service and care that we dedicate to our couples. Please accept my
genuine apology for upsetting you. If I can be of further help, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me personally.
