Bishay saved my wedding dress! Before I found her, I took my dress to another seamstress who did several things incorrectly, so I was afraid that the next person I found may not be able to fix it. She didn’t just fix my dress, but she made it look and feel like it was designed for me. On my wedding night I didn’t want to take it off, it was comfortable and gorgeous.
It was satin, so not the most forgiving fabric whatsoever; but the seams where she had to take it in looked like they were original. I can’t recommend Bishay enough, she’s a highly qualified wedding seamstress and will make sure your dress is perfection!

I came to Bishay not knowing if she could help me, and she made it happen! I had bought a dress too small for me (which you should never do) and didn't know if I would have to find another dress. Bishay met with me right away to see if she could make it work. Thankfully, she was able to make it fit me! I even had a last minute worry about the fit, and she drove back to the DMV from Virginia Beach to look at it for me. It turned out to be fine, and she just gave me a few tips. I was so grateful she spent the time to put me at ease and make it happen.

Bishay did a great job altering my dress. It needed to be taken in several sizes, and she made it fit perfectly and look absolutely beautiful. I also wanted a dress that didn't drag on the floor when bustled, and she worked through a couple versions of the bustle to make something work that met my needs.

I procrastinated getting my wedding dress fitted until only a few weeks before my wedding (dumb, I know). Bishay worked with me to make sure that my dress would be done well before my wedding, despite the limited amount of time. She is kind, professional, efficient, and great at what she does. 10/10 recommend her!

Bishay did an amazing job on my reception jumpsuit. I gave her a difficult timeline for completing the job because 1) honestly I procrastinated in bringing my dress in haha 2) my jumpsuit was completely beaded so alterations were going to be a bit difficult and 3) I was going to be out of the state for 3 weeks before my wedding. Bishay took on the challenge without a worry and successfully completed my alterations with time to spare. There was one issue the day of my wedding - the zipper got stuck on some threads and wouldn't close! I did not take off any stars for this though because it seemed to work fine when I did my final fitting so I have no idea what happened between then and the reception. Regardless, I would highly recommend Bishay!

Working with Bishay Wang was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. My dress was HUGE - it had six voluminous layers, all lacy/beaded fabric, but Bishay took hold of it and transformed it into the most comfortable and beautifully-fitting dress I could've ever imagined for myself. The work she did was painstaking, but yielded perfect results.

Sizing/Back Detail work - I needed the dress to be slightly bigger, and I was worried about adding that lace-up corset element as I'd seen it done poorly on other dresses, and my own dress actually originally had this full illusion back that I wasn't the hugest fan of. Bishay suggested turning it into a V-shaped back that led into the lace-up corset, so that the dress could size with me and be perfectly comfortable, and that the back would look elegant. This job was difficult because of the illusion and lace, but she truly did a perfect job and this element ended up being my favorite part of my dress. The dress was so comfortable and I felt like an actual princess all day long.

Hemming - The dress needed to be shortened, but the concern I had was that the lacy/scalloped trim on the ends of the fabric would be an issue. Bishay truly displayed her expertise here and was able to hem it and replace the scalloped trim so it was absolutely seamless and finally fit me perfectly. She also made the dress slightly lighter, so it wasn't such a huge weight on me all day.

Bustle - I actually don't love the look of traditional bustles and was worried about having that bubble effect in the back. Bishay had the perfect solution to my worries and created a perfect bustle that was easy to work and made my dreams of having an almost invisible bustle come true!!

This post is already too long, but I just can't say enough good things about Bishay. If you struggle with body-image and are worried about looking your best on your wedding day, I strongly, highly recommend Bishay. She makes sure you feel comfortable and confident, no matter your size or insecurities. She's an artist, and I'm so lucky to have been able to work with her! Thank you, Bishay!!!

I got a dress online that I didn’t like the neckline of, and with my elopement but 2 weeks away, I wasn’t sure anyone would be able to help. It was not an easy job to do because of the delicate fabric, and I had taken it to 2 different places that told me what I wanted was impossible before I found Bishay! Bishay took my dress and completely transformed it to fit my vision, all in ONE WEEK! I was blown away. She brought my vision to life and it was well worth the money. 5 stars!!

Bishay did a fantastic job altering my dress, including raising the neckline, dramatically fixing the bodice, which was too loose, taking out the hip area and replacing the built in bra cups, which had been very sloppily done. My wedding was in 3 weeks, so she had to work quickly and she surpassed my expectations. The dress came out perfectly and I was really impressed with how thorough and detail- oriented Bishay was. Highly recommend!

Bishay was so easy to work with! She was extremely responsive, professional, and worked with me through multiple fittings to make sure everything was just right as we completely changed the back of my dress, changed the straps, and added a belt. I brought in my dress and vision, and she delivered above and beyond with the finished product!
