Blenda was a wonderful photographer for our wedding! All of the photos we received are beautiful. We could tell she was very knowledgeable, competent, and creative. She was extremely easy to work with and was able to make my husband, myself, and our guests immediately feel comfortable in front of the camera. She knew how to take full advantage of our wedding location for different shots and our photos turned out better than what we could have hoped for!

Absolutely thrilled with Blenda and her husband Raymond and the beautiful work she created for my wedding! Everything down to the quality of photos to the process was more than I could've imagined and working with her was such a joy. I'm so happy that I chose Blenda as my wedding photographer! She took photos for a close friend's wedding, so I knew she took amazing photos. She was very easy to talk by phone and e-mail, and we made plans to meet in April, a few months before my wedding. At that I felt totally at ease with her due to her sweet and friendly personality. Since my fiancee and I had a destination wedding, she suggested that we do a "love session" a few days before the wedding to get used to taking professional photos. We took our pictures on the North Shore of Kauai, which is incredibly beautiful. I recommend doing one of these sessions if you don't have experience taking professional photos, because this session made us feel at ease with Blenda and excited for taking wedding photos. On the day of the wedding, Blenda and Raymond were with us for seven hours, from hair and makeup, to our first look and bridal party photos, to ceremony photos and dinner and dancing photos. They both have such a positive energy and made our guests feel at ease during the photo taking. Blenda is very talented and takes pictures with several camera, mostly film, and puts a lot of attention into lighting and the staging of photos. When I got access to her website with the photos, I was blown away by them. Her use of film makes the photos look much better than digital photos. I got the 8-hour package, which was 7 hours the day of the wedding and one hour for the "love session." What I loved about that package is that I could select 200 prints and 500 individual photos to have on a flash drive, so I can choose which pictures I want to get enlarged or duplicated. Many photographers I looked at held all rights to the photos, so any time I would want to order more, I would have go through them. That happened to my sister a few years ago, and I did not want a similar situation. Blenda was fabulous and I'm so happy that I chose her! I love looking at her photos, as it brings me back to such a special day.

We found Blenda through Instagram. We immediately fell in love with her work from her collage of pictures on her website and social media. From the first time we talked with her on the phone to our first meeting with her a couple of days before our wedding, she made us feel extremely at ease and excited about the big day. Blenda took the time to get to know us and to get a sense of what we're like as people and not just another couple getting married. Blenda's great artistic eye and her talent for capturing amazing photos lies in her ability to make personal connections with the clients that she works with.

One of the reasons that we wanted to work with Blenda is that she shoots almost exclusively in film. Kauai is such a gorgeous location for a wedding and we wanted to capture its natural beauty. We wanted a film photographer because we did not want the over processed quality of digital photography. As scary as it is to not be able to visualize the photos immediately as you would in digital, we trusted that she would deliver amazing photos because of her robust experience with film. Our wedding photos were phenomenal and we'll be able to cherish them for years to come.

Blenda and her husband Raymond took the time to walk through the ceremony and reception site with us to prep us for the big day. They've worked with our wedding coordinator and officiant many times before so they knew exactly what to anticipate. Blenda and Raymond gave us really good tips on what to do during the ceremony so our faces weren't so pensive during the ceremony. Nobody wants to look pensive on their wedding day. Looking back, we couldn’t be happier with our decision to have Blenda capture our wedding. She is truly an amazing photographer, and her passion shines through in each and every photo she takes. Highly recommended!!! Blenda Montoro Photography is amazing! My husband and I are from San Diego and planned our 30 person intimate wedding in Kauai by telephone, emails, and yelp reviews. I first found Blenda by doing a general search. I read the amazing reviews but we knew for sure when we looked through her photos. Her eyes and camera capture beautiful moments. The perspective of the captures really makes our wedding photos stand out among the ordinary.
Our first interaction was a phone conversation! I loved it we spoke and got to know one another. I told stories of my love and life while she listened and absorbed. We then went through my husband and my wishes and wants. After the initial conversation I immediately felt like this was a good match. We discussed booking the wedding and a pre-wedding love session shoot (kind of like an engagement photo session) at couple different spots around the island. Blenda and her husband were amazing, even though it was raining they captured playful moments between my fiancé and I, Hawaiian culture, sunrays, and many kisses.
As we got closer to the wedding Blenda and I had communications regarding the photos that we wanted and how the wedding would flow. She is very organized and had an open line of communication throughout the whole process. She also worked directly with my wedding planner which made things much easier for the planning process.

Our prints were delivered on time and in perfect condition. The 500 photos were nicely packaged in glass boxes accompanied by a glass and gold USB drive, very classy!

First of all, having a destination wedding is kind of stressful enough. Based on my experience, we had to plan our wedding thousands of miles away and both me and husband hasn't been to Kauai. We've always wanted a small but intimate wedding so we decided to do it in Kauai. And Kauai didn't disappoint us. Choosing our vendors is difficult because we have to rely our decision mostly through reviews. We're so lucky that we've found Blenda! She was also recommended by our wedding coordinator. At first we weren't sure about her using film (she has the digital cam too), but looking through her portfolio, we were amaze how beautiful the photos turned out. We can also brag about that our photographer used film!!!
We had a long phone conversation with her before we hire her just to ask questions. She's very open for questions and very accommodating about our ideas. We met with her and Raymond two days before the wedding to talk about the details of our wedding. They're just a lovely couple.
Both me and my husband felt very relax on our wedding day knowing that Blenda will take great and amazing photos. Also her and Raymond (aka the time keeper, he makes sure that we're right on the schedule) work together smoothly. The A+++ for us too was they stayed for another 30 mins for her to take shots of our bridal party doing they're speeches. They're also very professional but we felt calm and had fun working with them.
We're very anxious to see our photos. The packaging is so pretty and I actually think it goes with the theme of our wedding. We love every single shots and photos. We were blown away with the photos that she took with film. We can see the details more and for me it so raw (not sure how to explain ). We're so happy to work with this couple and hopefully this review will help our brides to choose there vendor.

I would get married again JUST to have Blenda as my photographer again! Blenda is the ideal photographer. She has the skills and artistic capability to capture these gorgeous lifestyle photos while at the same time keeping all family members happy and getting the normal wedding photo shots. She was very professional but also made everything feel very relaxed and simple. I would recommend her to anyone, anywhere!
