Bharatkumar Jani is genuinely an outstanding hindu priest. My husband and I got married in the Catskills this past summer (2025) and Bharat uncle was our officiant. From the moment we met him, he made himself available to us as a couple, and to our families. He explained the wedding ceremony and pre-ceremony pujas in detail and made sure we understood the meaning of each tradition as well. He answered every question we had with the utmost patience and kindness and put our families at ease. He constantly reminded us to enjoy the moment and our marriage, and to follow his lead when it came to the complexities of the ceremony and that helped tremendously.

It's also worth mentioning that we had an intercultural marriage, and the groom + the majority of attendees at our wedding were not Indian. He was the perfect officiant for this reason because he was able to bridge the gap between cultures, staying true to Indian customs but also making the ceremony and the meaning behind the Hindu wedding accessible to everyone. His english is perfect and many of our guests even went out of their way to comment on how much they enjoyed his presence as an officiant. He of course handled our paperwork perfectly, and our license came in the mail without any issues.

Mr. Jani is someone I would recommend in a heartbeat and the first priest I will turn to when we need have another religious ceremony. He is a professional and a gentleman and makes you feel welcome and taken care of. I'm grateful we found his services.

Mr. Jani was an absolutely incredible priest for our Hindu Gujarati wedding, and we feel so fortunate to have had him guide such an important day in our lives. Beyond the ceremony itself, Mr. Jani also took care of the marriage license process, including mailing the completed document to Franklin Township in Somerset, NJ, which made the entire process seamless and stress-free for us.

On July 5th, near Woodstock, NY, Shri Jani ji graciously performed a Hindu wedding ceremony for our son, Rohan with Jasmine.

About five months prior to the wedding, I had my first conversation with Jani ji. He thoughtfully walked me through the traditional structure of a Hindu wedding and its key elements. Our goal was to have a Hindu ceremony that was simple yet meaningful—one that captured the essence of the traditions without elaborate rituals and complete within about one hour and fifteen minutes.

Rohan and Jasmine had a video call with Jani ji. Both immediately felt at ease with his gentle, soft-spoken nature. He speaks with a neutral accent, making him easy for everyone to understand. Their trust in him developed naturally and quickly.

We also discussed our Maharashtrian customs with him, and together we created an outline for the ceremony, including a detailed script that incorporated participation from both sides of the family. Later, we held a video call with both families to review the outline and clarify any questions. Along the way, we discovered beautiful parallels between Hindu and Jewish rituals, which added an even deeper resonance to the event.

The wedding ceremony turned out to be truly beautiful and deeply spiritual for everyone present—guests, family members, and most importantly, the bride and groom. Jani ji performed the rituals in Sanskrit, and then thoughtfully explained each step in English, allowing everyone to understand and connect with the significance of the proceedings.

Both of our families feel incredibly fortunate to have met Shri Jani ji. We are deeply grateful for the meaningful, memorable, and heartfelt ceremony he conducted, and for his warm blessings.

My daughter was recently married in a Hindu ceremony. We are Jewish. Half our guest list had never attended a Hindu ceremony. Priest Jani did a really beautiful job of making the ceremony meaningful, understandable and relatable for our entire guest list. The ceremony is long by Western standards but he made it so interesting that noone was the least bit bored. He brought gravitas but also warmth and humor to the happy occasion. We loved him, and highly recommmend him.

Bharat Uncle was amazing throughout our wedding events. He started with us at home for our first puja and came to the venue for our grad shantis and of course, the wedding. He explained everything in English to us so we really got to understand the rituals we were learning. Our guests, many who were not indian, found his explanations to be very helpful and insightful. He also cracked the occasional joke just the ceremonies which kept everything fun and lighthearted and gave us great photo opportunities. I would highly recommend him for your events.

What made the experience even more special was his thoughtful decision to translate the entire ceremony into English for our guests.

Bharatji did an incredible job guiding the Hindu ceremony for our recent wedding. My wife's family are American, and they so appreciated Bharatji's helpful explanations for context throughout the ceremony. He was very flexible and easy to work with, and the ceremony he conducted was a perfect mix of important traditions, helpful explanations, a bit of humor and wisdom. We would certainly recommend his services to anyone!

Mr. Jani was fantastic to work with! He helped guide my wife (who grew up in a Catholic household) and I (Hindu Gujrati) through an abbreviated and more modern Hindu ceremony for our wedding (we had a separate Catholic ceremony prior). He was very easy to work with and made both of our families very comfortable with the process. Communication was excellent and he was great at listening what we wanted and didn't want. After the wedding, we received many compliments from our guests on the Indian Ceremony. I can't recommend him enough, especially for a multi-cultural Indian wedding.

Speaking as the father of the bride, Mr. Jani did a wonderful job of making the ceremony understandable to the wedding party. They really appreciated the insightful explanations which he provided. I received a lot of positive feedback from those who attended. Many commented that it was the most moving part of the weekend wedding.

Pandit Jani is an amazing officiant! We were particularly pleased with his clear & concise explanations of each ritual in the Hindu wedding ceremony.
