About Betsy:
Betsy Wise was born and raised in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, a place where beauty and forward-thinking are a way of life. A childhood love of crafting and historical costume, matured into a sophisticated taste and couture aesthetics.
With a degree in fashion design from Pratt Institue and an ambitious spirit, Betsy has always been passionate about creating her own path. While simultaneously producing her clothing line and working a bridal boutique, it soon became clear what she was meant to do. She started Betsy Wise Bridal as an alternative for the bride who dreams of a wedding gown that reflects her true self.

I came to Betsy with my mom’s veil from 1980 with a headpiece from my grandmother’s 1948 wedding. She did an amazing job taking the leaves off the headpiece and adding them to a comb with a new veil. She also made 6 hair pins & 4 barrettes for the flower girls. She was a pleasure to work with. She was up front about costs & timing. She was not pushy & didn’t pressure me at all. I wish I had come to her for a full custom dress, tbh! -

Upon picking up my wedding dress from the place I purchased it, it was clear that I should've ordered a size up so that the dress could be taken in if needed. Instead, the non-stretchy material and lining were so tight that I was afraid I'd have to re-order my dress in the next size up. During my first appointment with Betsy, I felt immediately better as she explained all of the ways she could work with the dress and let it out a bit. She also customized the straps for me, added a bustle, and hemmed the dress. When all was said and done, I felt so confident and comfortable in my dress! Betsy has such a lovely shop in Beacon and she makes you feel very at ease when you go for appointments. I highly recommend Betsy for gown alterations!Betsy Wise Bridal's reply:

I tried on TONS of wedding dresses and couldn't find exactly the right one. I described what I wanted and did a few little iPhone drawings and Betsy immediately understood. She designed the perfect custom dress that was so unique. She did extra fittings to ensure it fit perfectly.Betsy Wise Bridal's reply:
