We got married in June 2024 in Princeton, NJ, near our families. During the wedding planning process, we were based in the UK, and moved halfway through to Switzerland, so we knew we would need someone experienced and calm "on the ground" to help everything run smoothly. Billie absolutely filled this role from day 1! Planning a wedding from another country is no small feat and with Billie's guidance it was the least stressful it could have been.

We were fairly confident about most of the wedding planning process, and signed up for Billie's 'wedding management' package. Truthfully, this was even more than we were planning to do when we first started looking at coordinators, but trust me, IT IS WORTH IT. You are not just investing in your peace of mind, you are also unlocking a treasure trove of wedding wisdom—and importantly in this industry, Billie will always try to help you figure out what YOU want, and how you can make that happen. There are no rules!

From our first meeting, Billie took the time to get to know us and our preferences, and although she had never coordinated a Quaker wedding before, she was curious and so thoughtful throughout the process. Having someone who could 'bridge' the very simple Quaker ceremony with our slightly more traditional reception ended up being crucial, since at a wedding sometimes (even in a democratic Quaker setup!) you need someone who's in charge! We even ended up doing an extra consultation with her about halfway through the process (~4 months out) to discuss the wedding-day timeline, which was incredibly helpful.

On the day, Billie (sometimes literally) held our hands throughout. She made sure vendors and guests knew where to go, helped with the signing of the Quaker wedding certificate, coordinated our transport bus, handled tips — everything you would expect from a day-of coordinator, but with an extra level of professionalism and conscientiousness. Billie had taken the time to get to know us as a couple, and unlike someone who comes in "on the day of," she was able to answer questions without needing to bother us on the most exciting day of our lives. We got more time to spend with our loved ones, which is always what you want!

We would recommend Billie and Best Day Ever without hesitation to anyone planning a wedding or other event in central NJ. (Just make sure you reach out in good time — we were really lucky that she had our date open, and that was nearly a year in advance!) The main reason our wedding went absolutely perfect is because Billie was there for us every step of the way. Right from the beginning of our planning process, Billie listened to all of our ideas and hopes for the day and provided us with a full mood board of design inspiration, a color palette, and recommendations. Being able to collaborate with her on all of our designs (florals, seating chart, welcome signs, menus, everything) was so helpful to make sure the end results were exactly what we wanted and personalized. She also recommended vendors to us that were extremely professional and wonderful to work with.  

One of the best parts of our wedding day was seeing our balloon installation piece come to life. We were interested in having a ceiling installation for the reception, but the price was extremely high and out of our budget. Billie had the idea of looking into using balloons instead (shoutout to Ivy on Main florals/Ivy on Air!) and she worked with the vendor on creating a completely new design. The silver orb balloons were so stunning and even better than we could have imagined!! Without her creative mind and ability to think outside of the box, we would have never had that as part of our wedding day. 

Billie’s experience and professionalism is so top tier and made our own wedding the perfect day. She truly does give you and your partner the best day ever when you have her involved. 1000/10 recommend her for any event!

Billie of Best Day Ever Event Planning is absolutely fantastic! She came highly recommended by a friend who used her for her daughter's wedding in 2022. There are several service packages to choose from and the Wedding Management package was just right for us. Wedding planning is very overwhelming and we knew we needed someone to help keep us on track and to give us insight on things we were not familiar with. Billie was excellent from the start; from the first call she was friendly and personable, very easy to talk to and get to know. She had flexibility in her appointment calls and we always ended them feeling better than when we started. Billie pointed us in the right direction for our vendors based on her knowledge of the area and years of experience in the business, which is one of the biggest reasons we wanted a wedding planner. Every vendor that BIllie suggested we booked and would recommend. She handled communication with our vendors, volunteered to be our marriage license witness, and even went in person to our hotel when it was difficult to communicate with them. We trusted her with our timeline and she always took our opinions and wants into consideration while making decisions. She went above and beyond and got us more time to set-up the venue space which turned out absolutely beautiful. She 100% made the right call when changing first look locations and she gave us a lovely aisle to walk down even in a nontraditional space. She helped us find a rehearsal dinner space as well which turned out to be perfect for us. She was very organized, and kept us calm, even in stressful times. Billie is so sweet and she clearly loves her job. She is professional, can work around different family dynamics, and helped make our day “the best day”.

The moment I knew that we could not have the destination event we had hoped for it became imperative that we hire Billie Sue at Best Day Ever Event Planning. Having studied her work on other events, I was sure that the only way that we could create the feeling of being at Disney World, with a touch of France, as if we were literally standing in the live action Beauty and the Beast movie was to work with Billie Sue. She was super kind and helpful on the phone. Then, we were dealing with a family emergency and decided to move forward with a small intimate wedding in my parents' backyard...in a month. She turned the backyard into a magical masterpiece, and she allowed us to focus on our family instead of worrying about the wedding planning process. Even though we suffered a tragic loss only a few days before our wedding, Billie made sure that we were able to find joy in the heartache and celebrate our wedding the way our family would have, and always, wanted. Her attention to detail, communication and list of preferred vendors made our wedding everything we ever dreamed of, and more.
