For starters, she is just the kindest person and will always make you feel at ease. She really wanted us to have a magnificent day, and we felt so comfortable around her.

We weren't quite sure what to do for our engagement shoot, and she reached out that there was going to be an epic snowfall that would likely be the only one that season perfect for photos. We were absolutely game, and she delivered! She braved the cold and crazy snow fall that morning to get us the most beautiful photos.

We are so incredibly lucky to have booked Bella Wang for our wedding. We had our engagement photoshoot with her, and loved her style, and then booked our wedding with her as soon as we had a venue secured! She is incredibly versatile: our engagement photoshoot was outside and she did such a fantastic job of using natural light and framing to capture the natural beauty around us so well. But then we ended up booking an indoor venue for our winter wedding, the Parker House in Boston, which is a beautiful, historic, yet super dark building. Not a lot of natural light to work with, especially in winter time for an evening wedding! We chose Bella for our wedding because of the photographers we were considering, she was also very skilled in capturing beautiful memories in low-lighting, evening, indoor settings. This was so crucial! There was a big storm during our wedding day and everything was quite dark, but Bella knew how to capture so much richness and variety in her gallery for us. It is one of those rare occasions where these indoor photos look and feel like how we experienced the spaces in-person!

Bella is a detailed and thoughtful photographer; which starts from her in-depth questionnaires to get to know you as a couple and your goals for the day, and continues throughout the experience. Her guidance in posing was also so helpful; Alex and I are not used to being photographed, and we requested, and she provided, very granular feedback, in the moment, of how to adjust ourselves, how to play to the light, and how to relate to each other, which made us feel more confident! And the results were wonderful.

Bella Wang is not only an incredible photographer and artist, but she also was one of the most helpful and decisive people we worked with that day – which really helps with a big wedding! She even helped to bustle my dress for the reception! She has great upbeat yet quiet energy and it really helped keep Alex and I focused so we could get all the shots we wanted. The results have been more incredible than we imagined, and we are so happy to have these artistically captured memories!

We learned that you end up spending a lot of your wedding day with your photographer, and we are so grateful and happy that Bella was with us for this whirlwind, special day.

My partner and I are one of those couples where one of us loves pictures and the other aims for the minimum necessary. For our intimate pandemic wedding, three things we both agreed were important to us were: (1) having a photographer document our special day, (2) having this photographer based locally in Cambridge, MA, and (3) having experience with LGBTQ weddings.

We found Bella while looking for photo ideas around Cambridge City Hall online and came across her Cambridge City Hall Wedding blog post. We were impressed by how natural her pictures were and how she captured really intimate moments in a beautiful way.

Bella was amazingly communicative from the moment we contacted her. She was very patient as we figured out details for our wedding (we were so eager to have her take our pictures that we contacted her before having a final date in city hall), which demonstrated her flexibility with our current uncertain times.

With us having no experience at all in photoshoots, ours became one of the most magical memories from our wedding. Bella shared really insightful feedback as we prepared for our actual photoshoot and was flexible to adapt to changing plans on the day of. She was also really good at capturing good scenes that were actually on par with the types of pictures we wanted as keepsakes.

Needless to say, the end result was astounding. All of our friends and family who have seen our pictures have been amazed at their great quality and cannot believe the fact that all of our pictures were taken locally (in a local park, our parking lot, city hall itself).

Bella is an absolute gem. From the very beginning, she was super personable, funny, and great about communication. I had about a bajillion and one questions and Bella answered all of them without an ounce of impatience. Navigating the uncertainty of wedding planning in the midst of COVID was difficult, but Bella took it all in stride.

Leading up to the wedding, Bella was great about answering emails and DMs super quickly and on the day of the wedding itself, she was kind and gracious and made my husband and I look way less awkward in the photos than we are in real life. She made it all feel natural, and some of my favorite photos are the both of us belly laughing from whatever quip Bella just said.
