Bell Mountain Estates is a Century Farm, having been owned and operated by the same family for over 100 years. William Clark Bell purchased the property in 1914. Since then, there have been four generations of the Bell family to own the old family homestead. The estate is now owned by Mike Felmlee, a great-grandson of William Clark Bell, who has worked on improving the property by restoring the old stone farmhouse, adding new structures and opening it up as a elegant event space.

Dawn was always in constant communication with us. The venue was beautiful and the guests had a wonderful time. The only thing I would suggest is installing kitchens in both the venue and the guest house for the convenience of the guests and the caterers. Wonderful place and wonderful people. Thanks for helping to make our day so special.

Belle Mountain is hands down one of the most beautiful wedding venues in central PA. During our venue search we visited a hand full of venues but non of them blew us away like Bell Mountain Estate did. Bell Mountain had A+ service they were able to answer any question you had, and were amazing on the wedding day helping with the flow of the even from parking cars to cleaning up.
The venue its self is absolutely beautiful, you in the valley between two mountains with a beautiful pond on one side and open fields on another it's really an amazing setting. There are about 6 different spots where you are able to have the ceremony each of them are beautiful and amazing for wedding photos.

Bell Mountain was perfect for our wedding! The pond out back is so pretty for pictures and for scenery. The property is very well maintained. Dawn was so helpful with everything. She was available 24/7 with any questions we had. The weekend of the wedding she was there to assist with anything we needed. The only problem that we had was that we were unaware that when we paid for the whole weekend, it did not include the little shed where we slept our wedding night. We were charged extra for staying out there.

Amazing Venue!

We had our wedding at Bell Mountain Estates this past month, our weekend was everything we hoped for! The property was so picturesque, you really couldn't take a photo with a bad background! We are so happy with our photos! We rented both homes on the property to host our bridal party, and had such a great time. Keep in mind that these are renovated, but still old homes. We really didn't mind and found them to work for our group! With the weekend package we had access to the property 12pm Friday to 12pm Sunday which is so ideal!! Set up mostly Friday, and finishing clean up on Sunday morning made our big day less jam packed. We really enjoyed having everything so close together, no travel time between our lodging, ceremony, and reception allowed us so much more time in our day too! This is a beautiful manicured property and the owners were available and ready to help when needed throughout the weekend.
Thanks Bell Mountain for an unforgettable weekend!

Beautiful on the surface

Venue is beyond beautiful, as soon as you see it you become enchanted by the magical pond and scenery. But quickly the magic fades. Was told there would be amenities such as bottled water, hand soaps, and hand towels. What was not explained to me was these would only be supplied at the reception hall the day of the ceremony.
While preparing for the rehearsal, bridal party scrambled to find local stores for basic needs and clothes hangers for bridal gowns. These are little things that can be laughed off. But what was very uncomfortable was the overwhelming sulfur smell from the water lines in the white cabin. Not a smell you want to have on your wedding day. But the staff was very patient and kind towards our guests.

Handicapped Accessibility

I was a quest at a wedding on Sept. 7. My husband has mobility issues, and my mother is 102. I saw no staff to help with us, and there was no golf cart, etc. to assist in getting them to the right place. When you get to the back of the house for the ceremony, we had to walk them across the grass because wheelchairs/rollators do not go well on the grass. In order to get from the ceremony to the reception, you need to cross the stone parking lot, which also does not do well with mobility aids. The facility was beautiful, but accommodations are lacking for those with mobility issues. Please note: We were quests at a wedding, and had nothing to do with choosing your facility.

Posting as a Vendor who worked here

I am a hairstylist. I was there on Saturday, July 11th to do hair for the bride and 5 others.
I started in the addition to the house where there was a small little living room and bathroom right off of it. I got my things out, plugged in my power strip and realize that only 1 of my irons was turning on. Then I realized the iron that was on, was barely even warm. I tried 2 other outlets-none of them worked, though my power strip light was on. Went to the bathroom and saw the GFCI green light on, but also a blinking red light. Finally went to the bar area and found a working outlet, though the lighting was AWFUL. The overhead fan and light didn't work. There was no difference in lighting when on vs off. you could see that a bulb was 'lit' but it put off no light. Then, I went to use my blowdryer which I knew might be a mistake, and yes, yes it was. Blew a breaker I guess. But when we checked the breaker box, there were no breakers to reset. They also weren't labeled. So, I finally had to go up the very narrow and steep steps to the bedroom where the other bridesmaids were getting ready. And when you walked into that room you were slapped in the face with the heat. As in, there was no AC in that room. On a 90 degree day. but the BEST PART was the fact that the baseboard heaters were on. In fact, one of the pillows from the bed was laying on it & i'm glad I grabbed it because it was pretty hot. I sweated PROFUSELY. And every time a bridesmaid walked into the room, she said 'Whew it's hot in here!!' It was honestly awful. I didn't complain to the bride because she didn't need my stress on her. But I hope I don't ever have to work there again.

This venue is absolutely beautiful. Depending on the package, it can be rather expensive. We only had it for one day, so we had a cheaper fee than most events. The owner and the manager are not very professional. I attended a bridal expo where I had asked then a question relating to the venue, and they broke into an argument right in front of me over their answer. Later, I had scheduled a meeting with the manager at the venue, and she completely forgot it. After being 20 minutes past our meeting time, I called her and she admitted that it had slipped her mind. The house on location is also very beautiful, but seems to have been finished cheaply. The only heat that was turned on was a pellet stove in the living room, but the rest of the house, including the bathroom where we showered, was very cold. You could see the drywall tape seams through the paint, and there were paint specks on the furniture. Also, the lights on the stage of the reception pavilion were not working, which the manager knew about. Were it not for the beauty of the venue, this review would be much lower. The Management has much to be improved on, but the beauty of the location is enough to make it a wonderful place for a wedding.
