Making Older Hair Young Again

I’ve always struggled with my curly hair that tends to frizz. And at 58 years old, my hair was dry and somewhat damaged because I’ve always done my own color treatments. I’m at that point in life where I want to simplify things, so I decided to go to the well-reviewed My Bella Color Studios to have my long hair professionally colored and cut short.

But then I met Grace. Grace is a lovely young woman, very easy to be with, and a professional dedicated to her craft. She told me my hair would benefit from getting a Brazilian Blowout, something she is certified to do. I had read a little about the process before, but the price gave me pause.

While watching Grace color my hair with the intensity and skill of a true artist, I knew she would be the right stylist to give me the Blowout. She is very thorough and clearly wants whoever sits in her chair to leave looking their absolute best. The Blowout procedure takes time, but I think Grace works as fast and efficiently as a trained stylist can. After the coloring followed by the Blowout, she cut my hair shoulder-length, rinsed and re-dried it to see for herself that the process worked as it should.

I like the results very much. Grace painted warm highlights throughout my hair and the color looks bright and natural. Now I wake up in the morning, do a quick comb out, and my hair falls into place where it stays all day. When I wash my hair, it requires only a rough blow-dry to look as good as I did when I left the salon. It’s the easiest-to-care-for hair you can imagine: smooth and shiny, healthy, young-looking hair. My husband insists I look years younger.

If you want a look that lasts at least 3 months and helps restore hair to better health, as it is said to do, I say an enthusiastic yes to the Brazilian Blowout. The savings in time alone--time formerly spent fussing with my hair--makes the investment worthwhile. Grace did an outstanding job with my hair and makeup. The trial session went well, and she easily implemented the very minor changes I requested the day of! I received countless compliments about how my makeup played up all my best features, and how classic I looked. She even included a touch-up kit (bobby pins, little thing of hair spray, lipstick, etc.), though I didn't use a single thing the whole night. My hair really does not like holding a curl, but it did all night without having tons of hair spray in it! I will be using Grace again if/when I need my makeup done again. I highly recommend her!

I absolutely LOVED my bridal makeup and hair! My husband doesn't like me wearing too much makeup, but he thought the makeup on the wedding was perfect. Grace did an amazing updo with the special and large hairpiece I wore. She definitely has a good artistic eye, and she emphasizes your best features. I'd highly recommend her to any of my friends who are getting married, I'm so grateful that I chose her to do hair and makeup for myself, bridesmaids, and mothers, who were also so beautiful on my wedding day because of her!

I'd like to consider myself a very picky person when it comes to my hairstylists. When I find the right one, I am very loyal to them and I love to refer a great stylist. I was referred to Grace by a friend of my who spoke very highly of her. I've loved my friend's hair for as long as she's gone to Grace. I decided to finally try her after my own hairstylist gave me one of the worst layers ever. Grace fixed my hair and I saw that her haircut was the best cut I have ever had. You can definitely count on Grace to give you exactly what You Want, She listens to you and makes the outcome even better than you expected. She is definitely an artist and a perfectionist that will never get too comfortable and will always give her 120%. I booked her for my wedding and she was very professional and anal, she made sure that myself and my 9 bridesmaids were happy.

Grace is an amazing hairstylist who provides professional and beautiful results. She created wonderful up dos for me (bride), my bridesmaids and styled a short hairstyle for the mother of the bride. She was flexible to travel to do my trial run as well as for the wedding. I liked her ability to listen, create and meet every expectation. She is very detailed-oriented, creative, easy to communicate with and especially a kind lady. The quality of her work is exceptional and lasting and worth every penny. Thank you Grace for all your hard work and enhancing our beauty to shine through on this very special day!

Grace was an absolute pleasure to work with from the minute I first inquired about her services. I was lucky enough to stumble upon her online alongside a number of positive reviews and after weighing all of my options and looking at several other companies and individuals for my hair and make-up services for my wedding, I chose Grace...and I am so happy I did!! She was the best communicator, always answering my questions and my emails quickly. I sent her several ideas even before signing a contract to ensure she could do what I had in mind, and she was open and honest and gave me her opinion and her confidence that I would be in great hands.

The trial was really great! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she replicated it PERFECTLY! I was extremely happy. She did my make-up just the way I wanted it and adjusted it accordingly throughout the session. She took her time and did everything thoroughly and wanted to be sure I was completely happy. She took notes, and several pictures which she would refer to on the wedding day.

Once we had the trial out of the way, she created a schedule with all of the services she was providing for each of the girls and amended accordingly - even adding an additional stylist to be sure we made the most of the time we had.

On the morning of the wedding, she showed up on time (even early!) and had her other stylists right behind her, keeping to the schedule exactly. She was so sweet and worked so hard, as did the other girls and it went so smoothly. She sent me off with a touch up kit, including the color of my lip shade which came in great use throughout the night. I got a thousand compliments on my hair and make-up - everyone thought my hair looked like a work of art!!

Grace is incredibly talented, very kind and sweet and really makes you feel so beautiful! I highly recommend her for all of your wedding beauty service needs and will recommend her to anyone I know needing a hair and make-up artist, not only for weddings!
