I was born and raised in Virginia Beach and have always been a big fan of Beach Bully. They’ve catered my high school graduation party, my brothers high school graduation party, my brothers college graduation party, and more. When began our search for our caterer, we immediately knew we’d have to look into beach bully. Morgan sat down with us and gave us a taste of everything on the menu. She answered our questions and showed us some sample packages and was all around professional and accommodating to any request we had. She was there to answer any questions or make any adjustments along the way. Beach Bully truly went above and beyond what we expected. The food was amazing during dinner and they also provided appetizers for our cocktail hour. The bartenders were AMAZING!! We had two bar set ups and beer and wine. They were upbeat, professional, and honestly seemed to enjoy the day as much as we did. There was never a line at the bar and everyone always had a drink in their hand. I highly recommend this local gem to anyone considering using them for their wedding and ANY other catering!!!

the food is wonderful try the potato salad and you will be hooked =) they were all very nice and polite I am so very glad we chose them. Some of the guys even got down on the dance floor with us and were so very helpful one gentleman I wish I could remember his name ran around looking for a small box for me even thought he had a 100 different things to do. they also made mac and cheese minus well the cheese because my munchkin doesn't like melted cheese =)

I was very happy how things turned out with Beach Bully. I was a little worried because the communication wasn't the best. But everyone loved the food and that helped my wedding day awesome!

We had our reception at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Beach Bully was one of their "preferred" caterers on a list we had to choose from. They were by far the cheapest and had great food. Everyone commented on how good the food was.

The problems with them were several days before the event.
Problem 1: We met with them 6 months prior to the wedding and wrote out a contract for 100-150 people at a set price. We have several notes including the contract itself saying that between 100-150 was all the same price. A week before the wedding they sent us a final bill $300 over what we had in our contract. They tried to claim that the price was for 100 people and our final count was 130 at $10/person for everyone one over 100. After speaking with the owner they agreed to the original price stated in the contract.

Problem 2: From the start we told them (also on the contract) that the reception was at 6:30. The Hall didn't open until 5:00 for set up though because it's a business during the day. They called us the DAY BEFORE the wedding saying they didn't have near enough time to set everything up. As a "preferred" caterer you would think they would have known how much time they had. We had to scramble to find several additional people not attending the wedding to help the caterer set their stuff up.

All in all it was great food and the staff were great at the event. They were just not very professional in how they handle the business before the event.
