I would strongly caution anyone against hiring BBA Luxury Weddings & Events.

We hired BBA as our wedding planner and decorator and paid a significant deposit for decor services. Unfortunately, our wedding had to be canceled just 3 weeks after signing the contract, but we provided 10 months notice before the wedding date. During that time, no decor work had been performed - there were no design mockups or renderings, and no custom decor purchased.

Instead of refunding the unused decor deposit, BBA told us it would be credited toward a future event. Their contract explicitly states that if an event date changes, previous deposits will be be rolled over to a new contract. I later contacted them multiple times to apply the credit towards future events. They simply stopped responding. Emails, calls, and texts went unanswered, and they refused to honor the contract.

This behavior reflected our horrible experience throughout the planning process. We were initially led to believe they could secure our preferred venue, only to be told after signing that it wasn't possible and pushed toward a venue that was convenient for them. They repeatedly made planning mistakes that I had to catch and correct myself, forcing me to communicate directly with vendors and removing any benefit of hiring a planner. I was also able to negotiate better prices on my own for our photographer, DJ, and saree draping than what BBA presented. Their decor proposal was also 3x the budget we had clearly communicated.

When my parents politely reached out to discuss the account credit, they were met with hostility and yelled at. Since then, BBA has continued to ghost us - very unprofessional.

Between failing to perform the decor work we paid for and honoring the contract, repeatedly ghosting communications, making numerous planning errors due to their own inaccuracies and miscommunications, and treating our family disrespectfully, this was an incredibly frustrating experience. There are many excellent South Asian wedding planners who are honest, responsive, and stand behind their commitments - please hire them instead of BBA.
