With little direction from us, she and her team of second shooters took the reigns and came through in a big way! From our engagement shoot, to moving things around to make logistics work for both groomsman and bridesmaid pictures, Ava Nicole Moore made it all work seamlessly. We first met Ava for our engagement shoot in downtown Charleston. Both of us were a bit nervous (we've never done a professional photo shoot of any kind before), but Ava made us feel completely comfortable from the very beginning, and ultimately made us even more excited to work with her on our wedding day. When the wedding day arrived, we truly could not have asked for a better photographer to literally capture every single moment. Looking back at the photos, we felt like we were reliving every second of the entire day! Ava is extremely professional, respectful, kind, and talented. I’m not quite sure how to put into words how amazing and talented Nicole is. From the moment I spoke to her on the phone, she put me at ease and I knew there was no one else I would want to photograph our wedding. Throughout the entire planning process she was so organized and thorough. She put all my worries at ease, and went above and beyond to make sure that all my dreams were turned into a reality.
We first got our engagement pictures done with her and we were completely blown away with how talented she was. I knew that if our wedding pictures were anything like our engagement pictures I would be thrilled. Not to mention, she was THE sweetest soul. She made you feel so comfortable. Even my (now) husband didn’t have a complaint despite taking pictures in the middle of a HOT July day because of how wonderful she was.
On the day of our wedding Nicole arrived early and got started right away. She and her crew were so sweet and put this bride’s mind at ease immediately. Nicole was able to be direct without being overbearing and organize a large wedding party with ease. Our large families and long list of shots we wanted didn’t bother them a bit. Every single moment of our day was effortless, organized, and enjoyable. Her and her crew blended into our crowd so easily that we would often forget they were even there or we were being photographed. We were able to completely enjoy our entire day without feeling the pressure of a camera. THEN… we received our sneak peek and WOW… she completely blew us away. As we scrolled through our preview we smiled, we laughed, we cried… we got to relive our day! I truly couldn’t ask for anything more! I cannot wait to see the rest and to be able to start decorating our house with our pictures. Ava Moore is the easiest decision you can make around your wedding day - next to your partner that is! She is gifted with her talents as a photographer and her ability to so beautifully capture the love surrounding such a special day. From the first phone call, I felt that she totally understood what my husband and I wanted for our wedding day, and based upon her experience even helped to make suggestions for how to achieve that vision. She helped to build out our day-of timeline based upon what was most important to us - the whole day I was able to remain present and in the moment because of her - I felt in good hands and trusted her. Where to even begin... Nicole blew us away from the very beginning. I am a wedding planner by profession, so I was very picky selecting our vendors. Photography was super important to me, so it was one of the first things I began searching. After our initial phone call, I found out that she was booked on our date. I immediately called all of our vendors and asked if they were open the next weekend, and then changed our date so we could hire Nicole. During engagement photos, bridal portraits, and the day of the wedding, she was so calm, kind, and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera! We have the best photos from our wedding, and already have them all over our house. I'm still frequently flipping through all of our photos, and reliving the best day. Incredibly talented and kind—that is Ava Moore Photography! My husband and I are so lucky to have had Nicole behind the lens as our wedding photographer on our special day as well as our engagement photos! She has created memories for us that we will always cherish and be able to relive over and over! We have been married a year now and her images bring us so much joy. Nicole is organized, conscientious, and makes miracles happen even when weather conditions are not ideal! She is creative and tasteful! Since the wedding photos were one of the single items that last more than a day, I was extremely focused on and pick about our wedding photographer. However, from our first conversation (and of course after looking at her impeccable instagram feed full of timeless, beautiful film photos), I knew that my husband and I had to work with Ava for our wedding day. She was so interested in the story of us from the start and my vision for the wedding, and ensured that her photography style was aligned with my wedding day vision. A few months after hiring her, Ava contacted us saying it was time for engagement photos. My husband and I were not married to location for them and were open to Ava's suggestions. After she learned of our Paris engagement and my love with the city, she suggested the Biltmore for our session. She could not have suggested a better spot. The photos were FLAWLESS and she made my camera shy husband (sorry sweetie), look like a natural. However, the engagement photos were just the start. Ava worked hand-in-hand with our wedding planner to develop a day-of timeline that worked best to allow us to spend as much time during the wedding with our family and friends, which we prioritized above all else. Our planner even commented several times on how organized and knowledgeable she was! When the day finally came, Ava could not have been better. She arrived early to capture getting ready photos, ensure she had enough time for beautiful detail shots, and arrive at our wedding location before we arrived. She made our first look so comfortable and was somehow everywhere, at every moment. Flash forward to a month later, when we received our gallery. Each and every photo was INCREDIBLE and allowed my husband and i to relive one of the best days over and over again. She somehow managed to get the beautiful film photos i have always oogled over on instagram and catch all the sweaty, fun moments from our reception that we never want to forget. My husband and I are so grateful that we hired Ava for our photographer, and would do so over and over again. If you are even considering her, do not hesitate. I promise it will be one of the best decisions you will ever make for your wedding!

Our wedding was pushed back about a month due to Hurricane Florence, and Nicole was exceptionally accommodating to make our new date work. She arrived more than early which was wonderful because it allowed for some buffer time, was exceptionally responsive leading up to our big day, was great for advice when I needed an opinion, and her calm and gentle demeanor on our wedding day helped to calm our nerves and put us at ease! My only regret is that we didn't have more time with her! I feel like the day went by so quickly and I wish we had had more time just to chat with her!

She had a sneak peek ready for us just a few days after our wedding, and they are absolutely stunning! Everything I wanted brought together in one image.

I would recommend Nicole to anyone for any occasion, but especially your wedding! She takes her job seriously, but is fun and gentle on a day when you need to minimize stress! She also produces the most magical and incredible photos - which was the most important thing to me on our day!

I can't say enough good things about Nicole! From day 1 she made an effort to get to know my fiance and I. She was very thorough and extremely kind while wrangling my 16 person wedding party for photos! It only took her 4 days to get us a sneak peak of our wedding photos and we're obsessed with them. After our engagement session with her, 2 of my friends booked her for their wedding because they loved the pictures so much! All our wedding party + family said she was so pleasant and a joy to meet on the big day! The initial investment can be pricey, but I promise it's all worth it! Pictures are what you have to hold on to forever, so it's an investment for sure!
