Ava & her team were amazing additions to our Welcome Party at Surcee's on King Street in Charleston. She was very warm and made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. She also recommended some great photo opportunities when they popped up, but she wasn't at all intrusive in taking us away from friends and family to get the shots. We are so thrilled with our images and loved the combination of candid and couples photos, all captured in only 2 hours. Thank you so much, Ava!!! -

I’m not quite sure how to put into words how amazing and talented Nicole is. From the moment I spoke to her on the phone, she put me at ease and I knew there was no one else I would want to photograph our wedding. Throughout the entire planning process she was so organized and thorough. She put all my worries at ease, and went above and beyond to make sure that all my dreams were turned into a reality.
We first got our engagement pictures done with her and we were completely blown away with how talented she was. I knew that if our wedding pictures were anything like our engagement pictures I would be thrilled. Not to mention, she was THE sweetest soul. She made you feel so comfortable. Even my (now) husband didn’t have a complaint despite taking pictures in the middle of a HOT July day because of how wonderful she was.
On the day of our wedding Nicole arrived early and got started right away. She and her crew were so sweet and put this bride’s mind at ease immediately. Nicole was able to be direct without being overbearing and organize a large wedding party with ease. Our large families and long list of shots we wanted didn’t bother them a bit. Every single moment of our day was effortless, organized, and enjoyable. Her and her crew blended into our crowd so easily that we would often forget they were even there or we were being photographed. We were able to completely enjoy our entire day without feeling the pressure of a camera. THEN… we received our sneak peek and WOW… she completely blew us away. As we scrolled through our preview we smiled, we laughed, we cried… we got to relive our day! I truly couldn’t ask for anything more! I cannot wait to see the rest and to be able to start decorating our house with our pictures. Choosing the right photographer was so important to me and I know from the bottom of my heart we chose the best choice when choosing Nicole with Ava Moore Photography. We are so incredibly grateful for her and her crew! Thank you all! We love y'all!!

The Best Decision!!
Where to even begin... Nicole blew us away from the very beginning. I am a wedding planner by profession, so I was very picky selecting our vendors. Photography was super important to me, so it was one of the first things I began searching. After our initial phone call, I found out that she was booked on our date. I immediately called all of our vendors and asked if they were open the next weekend, and then changed our date so we could hire Nicole. During engagement photos, bridal portraits, and the day of the wedding, she was so calm, kind, and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera! We have the best photos from our wedding, and already have them all over our house. I'm still frequently flipping through all of our photos, and reliving the best day. If you're considering her, HIRE HER. It was one of the best decisions we made during planning! -

Incredibly talented and kind—that is Ava Moore Photography! My husband and I are so lucky to have had Nicole behind the lens as our wedding photographer on our special day as well as our engagement photos! She has created memories for us that we will always cherish and be able to relive over and over! We have been married a year now and her images bring us so much joy. Nicole is organized, conscientious, and makes miracles happen even when weather conditions are not ideal! She is creative and tasteful! She really took the time to get to know my husband and I as a couple before our first photo session and throughout the wedding planning process she was an absolute angel with a thorough day of timeline, yet so flexible for in the moment! I’m so grateful! She is simply the BEST! -

Stunning photos, amazing photographer!
I wouldn’t even know where to begin to explain how glad we are that we found Nicole!! From our first inquiry together she took the time to have a call to get to know US before she even met us. She shot our engagement photos and our wedding photos and I cannot even tell you how many people have already told us “these are the best wedding photos they have ever seen”. Nicole is amazing to work with and she truly has a talent behind the lens. If you are looking for a photographer, BOOK NICOLE! You will not be disappointed. I cannot express in words how much we love Nicole! She is amazingly talented, and so so kind! We loved working with her.
Our wedding was pushed back about a month due to Hurricane Florence, and Nicole was exceptionally accommodating to make our new date work. She arrived more than early which was wonderful because it allowed for some buffer time, was exceptionally responsive leading up to our big day, was great for advice when I needed an opinion, and her calm and gentle demeanor on our wedding day helped to calm our nerves and put us at ease! My only regret is that we didn't have more time with her! I feel like the day went by so quickly and I wish we had had more time just to chat with her!
She had a sneak peek ready for us just a few days after our wedding, and they are absolutely stunning! Everything I wanted brought together in one image.
I would recommend Nicole to anyone for any occasion, but especially your wedding! She takes her job seriously, but is fun and gentle on a day when you need to minimize stress! She also produces the most magical and incredible photos - which was the most important thing to me on our day! -

Noelle Sent on 02/25/2018We had Nicole take our engagement pictures, as well as our wedding day pictures.
Once you reach out to Nicole she sets up a quick call to see what your vision is and if it aligns with her style. I thought this was such a great idea because one, it determines if you are a good match and two, it sets the tone for the rest of your pictures.
As someone who is not from Charleston, Nicole was extremely helpful taking my vision for engagement pictures and suggesting the best spots to take pictures. She answered every question quickly and was extremely open to any ideas I had! We also brought our puppy along and she was so sweet and loving to him that it really showed through our photos. Our photos were ready before the time frame she gave us and we were so happy with her work. They were all so beautiful and it was so easy to view our gallery and download the images.
For our wedding and every day leading up to the wedding Nicole was so extremely helpful. I might have gone to her only a few times less than my wedding planner. Nicole has so much knowledge about the wedding industry in Charleston it is so helpful. She has a listing of vendors she has worked with and provides suggestions based on her knowledge. She also sends over a questionnaire to get every detail of your wedding right! I provided her with family relationships and listings of photos I wanted, and photos that I did not want. Everything was so easy and she was so understanding. On our wedding day she and her assistant were so professional but they also felt like members of the wedding. She not only took every picture I had provided to her and more but she also kept us on schedule the whole day without me having to worry about it! We are so extreme happy we worked with Nicole. She is kind, she is friendly, and you can see her passion of photography throughout her process. We love Nicole and will be working with her in the future. -

Anna Sent on 01/10/2018Hiring Nicole to be our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made. We received so many compliments on our engagement and wedding photos. She accommodated us bringing our two pups along for our engagement photos and captured beautiful pictures. She also did my bridal portraits and they all looked great and she did a good job of posing me without too much movement so I wouldn’t mess up my dress before our wedding day. On our wedding day, she did a great job of staying organized and directive so we could get all the photos we wanted. We received our photos back well before the contracted date and had 1300 photos to choose from (we chose the option to have a second photographer). She’s awesome to work with and created beautiful, classic photos. We highly recommend her as a wedding photographer! -

From the very first phone consultation to the final album selections she was a bride’s dream to work with. To be able to “just know” you can trust the expert, brings peace and excitement that things will be perfect.
Some of our highlights from working with Nicole that might be of interest are:
- She was willing to work on the wedding photography package make up since we opted out of an engagement shoot. Not every couple is the same so we were grateful she was willing to handle our requests and questions.
- She is SO thorough! Her get to know you questionnaire and wedding photos questionnaire cover every detail! Knowing your photographer cares about the details, what is important to you, and wants to be educated going into the weekend is invaluable.
- Communicating with her was easy, intuitive, and I always knew a quick and complete response was always on its way soon! She provided great insight into her process, her expert opinion, and left us feeling confident.
- She is the sweetest thing. Patience, calm coordination and a warm yet firm grasp of the logistics of a wedding are a few of the things that make her so successful! She is well connected in the Charleston area and will work well with any other vendor she needs to interact with.
- She utilizes Kiss Books, a high quality album company and the photo selection process/tool is super easy! Picking our favorite photos from the almost 1700 (all amazing) total pictures was like reliving the day! Oh, and she shared an personalized app with us that we downloaded to be able to see and share our album photos with others!
All in all, to those reading this - don’t stop and think about it - call her NOW and see if she’s available! You will NOT regret it! Her work and vision are magic, she and her assistant photographer are the dream team capturing your very treasured moments! -

Jessica Sent on 01/05/2018I was introduced to Ava Moore Photography through my wonderful wedding planner, Missy McCoy, and I absolutely fell in love with Nicole's work! All of her wedding photography captured a romantic, southern feel with incredible lighting and feeling. She seemed to photograph the actual feelings of the couples. I was in love! After reaching out to Nicole about acquiring her services for my wedding we planned a phone call to discuss my visions and her approach to wedding shoots. I knew right from the start she was a perfect fit for me and my wedding! Nicole was so personable and accessible during the whole process! She was always so happy and quick to respond even with her busy wedding schedule! Nicole went above and beyond my expectations for a wedding photography! She gifted me a complimentary bridal photo shoot which were incredible. Her turn around on final pictures was so quick and the finished results were amazing. Nicole makes the whole process so much fun and makes you feel like an absolute princess. If I could give her 10/5 stars, I totally would! Ava Moore Photography is the best choice for wedding photography in Charleston and I am so lucky to have been able to work with her! :)

Katie Sent on 01/04/2018WE LOVE AVA MOORE! A friend showed me her Instagram a while back so I had been following her for about a year before I got engaged. After my husband and I got engaged we both agreed right away that Nicole had to take our engagement photos. I had seen her work and I knew she was great, but when we hired her I never would have expected her to go so above and beyond for us. Or make us look so good!
When I reached out to Nicole she was super quick to respond as well as extremely friendly and helpful. At the time, I wasn't 100% sure of what I was even looking for, kind of just a vague idea of the "feel" I wanted. She gave me some ideas and worked with me to choose a location based on the time of year and what I was thinking of wearing. We ended up doing 2 locations- downtown and the beach. As first I didn't care to do the beach but Nicole encouraged it and I'm SOO glad we did. Our beach pictures are some of my favorite ones.
Nicole also encouraged me to make a Pinterest board so that I could show her any specific poses that I wanted (if any). When we met her at the location that day she had our Pinterest board printed out and she made sure to get each one. She was there on time and ready to go. During the session itself, she gave us great directions about how to pose and where to look because we had no idea. She also was really kind and patient with our dog, she even held her so that we could take photos just the 2 of us.
The photos themselves came out AMAZING!! We both truly feel like she captured our best sides and somehow she made us look amazing. The pictures are exactly the "feel" I was looking for, and even better than I had expected. She was also finished with them pretty quickly. I've heard of photographers taking months to edit and send pictures back but we had ours within a week or 2.
We really just cannot say enough good things about Ava Moore Photography. We'll be recommending her to everyone from now on. She really is the best of the best! -

User1407778 Sent on 10/29/2013Nicole did an amazing job! I cannot express in words how wonderful she is or how much talent she possesses. The photos from my wedding are magical! Very easy to communicate with and was always quick to answer my emails without issue. Even when I through so last minute requests for additional family shots she made it happen. She had the best ideas for additional locations to shoot and had backups when one of those fell though. I cant wait to have her do our anniversary photos next year!
