Vinnie and Elvin were incredibly kind and helpful through the entire process. It's a very small shop, so you are the only bride in there during your appointment (which is GREAT!) having just gone to a big chain bridal shop before this, it was like night and day. I was treated like they didn't have time/want to deal with me there, whereas at A&A, they give you all of their attention and care. They treat you like family, celebrate with you, and are genuinely interested in your story. I remember when I was there shopping the first time, Vinnie said "oh no, it's raining! One of our brides gets married today, I hope it all works out okay for her!" and I was touched by the fact that they care about their customers even after the sale is made. This place is a true gem. I had my dress altered here too, by Olga, and I honestly don't know how she does it. My dress had intricate lace at the bottom, and I can't tell how she managed to hem it and keep it perfectly intact at the same time. I told Vinnie on the phone the designer/style I was looking for, and she quickly helped me find my dream dress. They took photos for me with my family and friends and emailed them to me later, which I was very grateful for. They made me feel valued and special and the dress was perfectly altered and steamed before the big day. I cannot speak highly enough of this place! I'm definitely going to go back to them to have my dress cleaned and preserved, too. :)

Vinnie, who is also the owner, was extremely helpful, kind and patient. I didn't feel pressured at all because she let me try on a variety of dresses and then brought me other dresses she thought I may like. Ashley & Alexandria's was the first bridal salon I visited to search for my dream dress and I am so happy to say it was the only shop I went to! Vinnie and Elvin were an absolute dream to work with and they both took so much time to get to know me and my family. They became quick and genuine friends as they expressed so much interest in how we were doing each time we saw them. I will be forever grateful for all that they did to contribute to creating my dream day and for helping to select the most gorgeous dress I could have ever dreamed of! Working with Olga, the seamstress, was also a breeze! Vinnie was so helpful in setting up our appointments and Olga was fantastic at listening to my needs with the dress and simply put, "making it happen." I am so thankful for the wonderful experience I had at Ashley & Alexandria's!

Hands down best bridal salon! Vinnie and her husband are so welcoming and make you feel like a princess! Vinnie is amazing at what she does and takes the time to get to know more about you before she starts pulling dresses. I had a hard time at other salons - when I would tell them I didn't want sparkles or beading and more classic elegance they never understood my vision...well Vinnie got it on the first try! I bought the first dress she pulled for me! Throughout the whole process they made everything perfect and no detail was left unattended. I loved the fact that you are the only bride in the store during your appointment - they made me feel like they truly cared about me and not the sale. I would give them a million stars if I could!

I visited Ashley & Alexandria’s in September after visiting a dozen or so other bridal salons. As soon as I walked in Vinny was so warm and welcoming. It was a very pleasant and warm environment. For the first time in all of my wedding gown shopping experience, I was relaxed. Vinny sat with me and we discussed what I wanted, then she presented me with many beautiful options. Vinny found me the most perfect gown on my first visit within the first 20 minutes. Visiting Ashley & Alexandria’s was an amazing experience. Alvin and Vinny made me feel like we’ve known each other for years. I highly recommend Ashley and Alexandria’s for every bride. She takes one appointment at a time so you have her for yourself for the duration of the appointment. She does not rush you or pressure you in any way. We did, however, have an issue with the designer who created my gown. Vinny went above and beyond to ensure my dress would come in on time. She called me with every update and even called just to see if I was okay. Despite my experience with that designer, whom Vinny no longer carries, I have nothing but amazing things to say about Ashley and Alexandria’s. I highly recommend her for every bride who wants an amazing experience. You won’t just get a wedding gown; you’ll gain wonderful friends.

Vinnie at Ashley and Alexandria's Bridal Salon is great! She has a beautiful array of bridal gowns to suit any bride. She was very warm and made the process of finding the perfect gown, a pleasurable, and memorable experience for me and my family. She included my family in the process and had refreshments and music to add to the experience. She asked me questions about what I liked and how I wanted to look on that day. She pulled styles I liked, while also encouraging me to try options I may not have considered before. I found my dress that day!! My dress was perfect and she added accents such as the belt and veil that really made the dress feel like it was made just for me! After finding the dress, she worked with me to find the perfect dresses for my bridesmaids and was available to answer any questions I had, right up until my wedding day. If you are looking for a unique and personal bridal gown shopping experience, I would advise you to consider Ashley & Alexandria's in Southfield. Vinnie will take excellent care of you!

Loved this bridal salon! I only had to try on 3 dresses as she knew exactly what I was looking for. They also helped me design and create a belt for my dress in just days. I will recommend them to any bride. Great experience in a very stressful time.

Vinnie and Elvin are great!

They are always professional and willing to work with me. Whenever I had questions or concerns about my dress they were there to reassure me. They always communicated with me and kept me updated on my orders. The quality of customer service is amazing, not to mention my dress. She measured me perfect and I needed little to no alterations besides the extras I wanted to customize my look.

Would I recommend them? YES! In fact my fiance's groomsmen, my bridesmaids and a friend that is getting married all went through Ashley & Alexandria's.

I cannot say enough good things about Vinny (sp) and her husband. They are AMAZING!! I went to four or five other bridal salons and called about 10 before I found Vinny. My experiences with all the bridal salons in Birmingham were snobby "consultants" who not-so-politely informed me they didn't have "anything in that price range," I was capping out at around $1500, ideally. We then went to a few places where I found dresses that I liked, but they either felt like bridal factories, limiting the number of dresses I could try on and rushing other brides through alterations while I was there, or they just didn't have that personal touch. When we found Vinny, my friend and I decided that we HAD to buy a dress from her. She had called me prior to the appointment and asked me what kinds of dresses I was looking at, sent me the information about her designer choices, she hand picked several dresses for me based on my totally vague descriptions. She worked within my price range and was just awesome the entire time. I LOVE LOVE LOVED my dress that i bought there. She will work with you to be available for your time frames, I have a weird schedule and I think she stayed open late for my first appointment, and she really really thinks about your personality and what you will like.
They don't do alterations in store, but the lady who does is RIGHT around the corner and super super reasonable and did a great job, although I only needed minimal alterations. Vinny also comes with you to that fitting to make sure she likes the changes.
I loved them so much, I sent my mother in law there to get her gown!! This place is the most personal and thoughtful place you will buy a dress from. You might be able to get a similar dress at one of those other snobby or factory like places but you WON'T get someone who truly cares about your experience with her and as a bride.
