The Wedding Shoppe was the first bridal store I visited and it turned out to be the only one I needed to visit! When myself, my mom, my grandma, and maid of honor walked into the store, we instantly felt at home and comfortable. We were greeted with several smiles and many enthusiastic hellos. The consultant we worked with was Shawn Spears-Vilk and she was beyond amazing! At first I was feeling very overwhelmed with all of the choices and was having a hard time picking out dresses I wanted to try on. Shawn jumped right in and picked dresses based on the style I had described and pictures of dresses I had showed her. She did such an amazing job at listening to what I did and didn't like, and didn't grab dresses she knew were a no-go for me. At first I was very timid and nervous about the experience, but Shawn very quickly helped me feel comfortable and really helped to lighten the mood. She was so personable and really wanted to get to know me, which was truly wonderful. By the end of the day, she made me feel confident and made my experience beyond incredible. I ended up finding my dress, which was the last one I tried on. Shawn grabbed that one on a whim since it was a bit different and wanted to see how it looked. I ended up falling in love with it! Shawn was beyond amazing and we had such a great time with her!

The Wedding Shoppe helped make wedding dress shopping go so smoothly. They were the second place that I went to, and the consultant made me feel at ease. She listened to everything that I was describing, and she ended up picking the exact dress I was searching for. I tried it on, and it was perfect! I also had all of my alterations done at the store, and they were fantastic to work with. My dress was ready to go and cleaned a few days before my Big Day. It fit perfectly, and everyone complemented my dress the whole day. Thank you for helping me pick out my dream dress. I felt absolutely beautiful on our wedding day!

I had stopped into The Wedding Shoppe in mid July to take a look around with my FMIL. I was somewhat leery of going here because I couldn't find any photos of the dresses that they carry. But, based on the reviews, I decided to give it a shot anyways. Wouldn't you know it, I found a dress that I was absolutely infatuated with! I told Cheri that once my mom came down, I'd like to make another appointment to try it on again. One month later, my mom came into town for my second appointment with the oh so fantastic Cheri. I wanted to show her the dress I had picked out on my previous visit. We shopped around, even though I had one in mind, because they are constantly receiving new gowns. I tried on a few, and saved the one I had not stopped dreaming about for last. Wouldn't you know it, I didn't like the way it fit the second time around. Cheri looked at me and said, "You know what, we just got one in today. It's untagged, and hasn't been pressed yet, but I'll go get it for you." I put it on, and there was magic. I fell in LOOOOOOVVVVEEE!!!! Cheri took her time showing me how it could be altered, hemmed, how the bustle could be, and different accessories that could go with it. My appointment took two hours, but I was never once rushed....except for when it was time for me to take Adora off. Wahh Wahh! =(

FYI, They name their gowns instead of just tagging it by a number, which I think is "ADORA"able. Pun Intended. =)

Anyhow, my mother was gracious enough to have paid for my dress, (a tradition in our family), and needless to say, now I just play the 7-8 month waiting game. Ohh... Also, they gave me a bottle of wine to celebrate, which was DELICIOUS btw... White Cranberry Pinot Grigio from a local winery in Rochester Hills. I loved the fact that they supported another local business.
