My experience at The Wedding Shoppe was wonderful from start to finish. My initial appointment made me feel so special. Everyone in the store was not only extremely kind, but listened to what I wanted and my budget and found me DOZENS of dresses that fit my needs. They have the widest selection I've seen in a wedding store and I was extremely impressed. I found my DREAM dress, and when it came in (in the exact time they said it would), it was perfect. The women in the store even helped me in a panic just days before my wedding because I thought something was wrong with my sleeves (there wasn't, but they were EXTREMELY helpful to make it right anyway!). I felt more beautiful than I ever had on my wedding day, and received a million compliments on the dress (which is a Wedding Shoppe brand dress, by the way!). So so thankful for my experience here, I would recommend to anyone!The Wedding Shoppe's reply:

Cannot say enough good things about my experience here. My mom, sister and I all came in, and the shop was set up to be able to call my bridesmaids and MIL in for the try on too! Everyone there was so nice, they had a great selection of dresses, including plus sizes! I found my dress, and was even able to go home with it the day of. Then, the shop stayed in contact to check up on me and everything! If I wasn’t getting married out-of-state, I absolutely would have continued working with them because of how great my time was with them. If you are engaged and looking for a dress, The Wedding Shoppe is the place to go to - even for timid shoppers like me. A lot of my friends who got married post pandemic all bought their dresses here! :)
I'm a big personality but dread the thought of shopping for myself because I don't know how to dress to flatter my body type or how to describe what my vision was clearly, but my consultant Rebecca and my seamstress Alie brought everything together. I was scared about the dress shopping experience, but they helped build my confidence while shopping and Alie brought all my edits and tweaks to life. Nine weeks before out October 17th wedding, we realized that the “seamstress” we had hired to make our wedding dresses was not capable of making anything worthy of our wedding day. Needless to say, we panicked.
We came to the Wedding Shoppe feeling skeptical since we had such a short time line. Rebecca and all the girls made us feel welcome and assured us they could help. They listened to our ideas and brought us so many options that we were overjoyed and truly amazed. We both found the PERFECT dress and Kim completed the alterations in plenty of time for our wedding day.
We never felt so beautiful in our entire lives. All our guests commented on our gorgeous dresses and how each one suited us perfectly.
We want to give the highest recommendation to everyone at the Wedding Shoppe. The shop is full of hundreds of dresses to suit any one’s personal style. The staff are gracious, kind and gave us such personal attention, we felt confident putting ourselves in their care. Having only 9 weeks to accomplish such an important selection, we were nervous, but ultimately the Wedding Shoppe took amazing care of us. Thank you to everyone!!

I had the most incredible experience finding my wedding dress at the Wedding Shoppe. Even before stepping foot in the gorgeous store, I felt taken care of by the whole staff. As a plus-sized woman (16-18 in streetwear), I was extremely nervous about the process of trying on wedding dresses, but The Wedding Shoppe alleviated every worry I had - they have an extremely wide variety of dresses in a wide range of sizes, and I felt so beautiful and treated with respect and professionalism. Ashlee, my consultant, was incredible. She took the time to understand my vision, offering thoughtful suggestions and guiding me through the entire process with a keen eye for detail. Her expertise and genuine enthusiasm made the whole experience so much more enjoyable and stress-free, and ultimately ended with my finding my dress at my very first appointment! The Wedding Shoppe team are all such pros! I first visited in Feb 2023 and Cheri was so helpful in narrowing on the right style for me. I found a dress I loved, but felt like I still wanted to explore more. They did not pressure me at all! I went to another shop and found another I liked, but felt pressured to buy and have the special moment of "saying yes to the dress." I ended up wanting to go back to the Wedding Shoppe and try on my original favorite. After all the options I'd seen, I knew it was the one! Cheri was so supportive throughout and it was great to have one go-to contact. The process from there was seamless - their communication is so great! I couldn't of been happier with my decision to go to The Wedding Shoppe! Melissa was amazing! From the time we walked in we were greeted with a smile and congratulations! We started with some free snacks and coffee before getting set up in our private suite. Melissa listened to all of my "wants" and confirmed that I wanted to try multiple different styles. She grabbed a variety and was very patient with me as I contemplated between a-line and fitted, thick and thin straps, and plain vs super detailed. She seemed genuinely happy for me and was excited to learn about me and my fiancé's journey. In the end we ended finding the perfect dress! Extremely Helpful!
I had such a positive experience finding my dress at the Wedding Shoppe. I had been to multiple wedding dress locations and was really struggling to find what I was looking for, but my bridal stylist Rita really took the time to listen and search up and down for what I was looking for. After my appointment, I didn't originally leave with a dress, but after thinking it over, I reached out to Rita and inquired about possible alterations that would take a dress I really liked to the one. Rita took the time talk with the alterations team, speak with me on the phone, and even met with me for an additional appointment in order to have all the accurate measurements for my alterations. The Wedding Shoppe and Rita really showed how much they cared about finding my dream dress and I had such a positive experience with them. If you are looking for the right dress, I highly recommend the Wedding Shoppe.

A pleasant surprise
This was my first pick for wedding dress shopping, little did I know it would be the only place I would shop! I had a small idea of what I wanted, but after trying on a few maybes, I wasn’t sure what I wanted. I was afraid at first about certain dresses as I was a little insecure with how I looked, but my consultant, Ashlee, was a godsend! She brought out a dress as a sort of wild card, and the moment I tried it on, it was the one! I still can’t believe I left with the perfect dress I would wear on my wedding that same day! I can’t thank them enough for the patience and hospitality they showed me and my party that day, and now one of my best friend also said yes to her dress from here as well after my experience!The Wedding Shoppe's reply:

I said yes to the dress here and Brittany was THE best to work with!! She was so patient, answering all of my questions and helping narrow down my choices.
And a huge shoutout to Van on the alterations team for her incredible work. She added an entire "upper" part to my dress with a few yards of lace fabric I brought in. I gave her inspiration photos and she worked her magic to bring that vision to life. She is 1000% the reason my dress looked so good on my wedding day.

I can not speak more highly about my experience with shopping with Rebecca with family & friends. I came in to shop with Rebecca with a specific vision, which ultimately morphed into something completely different than what I had anticipated for my wedding dress. After several appointments, Rebecca had found something unworn, my size, in the back, brand new, basically made for me. I loved it, but couldn't fully commit to it. However, I came back to shop for my wedding shower dress with her. She AGAIN was able to find me something unique, my size, and virtually untouched for a fair price. (Price not included in review.) I appreciate her sense of style; her ability to listen and change with my requests and my guests (mother & sisters). She was always kind, funny and genuine. My experience with The Wedding Shoppe was amazing. From the consultant to the seamstress the whole experience was great. I was a very shy, not sure what I'm looking for bride and my consultant was so amazing that I fell in love with the second dress I tried! They have payment plans if needed and can work with you to ensure you can get the dress you want. They have so many dresses that I assure you, you will find it. From the alterations department Allie was an absolute gem and figured how to make the changes I needed for my dress. My husband calls it the "transformer dress" as he was so impressed with the changes from ceremony to reception that we had (removable sleeves and beautiful bustle). The bustle itself held strong through so much dancing, walking around and moving that I was genuinely impressed as I've heard that is one of the more difficult aspects. Not enough good things to say about this store, except don't think about it twice and go for it. -

There is no where else I would have rather found a wedding dress. The store is stunningly beautiful with a price tag for any budget. The best part for me was the staff. Each and every one of them made me feel welcomed and extremely special, seen and heard. Katy was an angel. I admire her passion and love for her job, and she put me in a dress that made me feel at home. It took a while and we tried on many beautiful dresses, picking the best parts from all of them and trying to figure out why some weren’t the one. The last dress she pulled for me had all of my favorite parts from the first dresses in one magnificent dress. I was so impressed with how well she was listening and paying attention to my needs and wants. I couldn’t be happier. Hugging her in the picture, my face shows how grateful I am for this business. Okay I never thought that I'd find perfection when it comes to finding my dress and getting it altered and getting my jewelry.
They were so accommodating and patient and professional, I just can't even. I mostly have to rave about Alie, my seamstress. She was EVERYTHING I could've asked for and more. She took my dress from a 12 to an 8, added a wrist strap and cups, and was SO EASY to talk to. I love her so much. -

Couldn't have asked for better!
I had went to one bridal studio before the Wedding Shoppe. Beautiful dresses, but didn't find the one. Got to the Wedding Shoppe and described what I was looking for and the consultant (I'm so sad I cannot remember her name) found exactly what I was looking for. The first dress I tried on I got that "this is the one" feeling. I tried on a few others, but once I slipped that one back on again I was brought to tears. It was truly a magical experience! I ordered my dress August of 2021 and didn't expect it to come in for 6 months but it came sooner than expected! All of the staff was so friendly and accomodating. Please check them out during your dress hunting journey! -

The shop is super cute and welcoming. Riley was very helpful! She did a great job of listening to my feedback on each dress and modifying her selections accordingly until I found the perfect dress. I started my wedding dress hunt in January 2021 for my October 2021 wedding. I visited The Wedding Shoppe and was met with such kind, caring staff that trying on dresses felt as important to them as it did to me. I said yes to the last dress I tried on that day and it honestly felt like the dress was MADE for me!! After ordering my dress, it arrived in the Shoppe in July and I began my alterations in September. During one of my alteration appointments, I also purchased the most beautiful hair piece that matched the lace in my dress. The alterations staff was incredible! I Love The Wedding Shoppe
How do I love the Wedding Shoppe? Let me count the ways.
Honestly, The Wedding Shoppe is the best. I must say that this, of all my vendors, was probably my most caring and supportive and flexible. To start, my dress- I came in with a group of about 10 people, and we had our own private space to relax, enjoy some champagne, and try on dresses! We had as much time as we needed, and the staff are not pushy at all. I never felt pressured to find "the one" on my first time in the shop. Or even find my perfect dress at their store, they really did make me feel like a princess. But they have an incredible selection of styles and sizes, which is extra important as a petite, curvy bride.
The store is also gorgeous, it smells wonderful, there is an adorable hot cocoa bar, and everything is sparkly and floral (which, let's be honest, isn't that everyone's favorite?).
As I am a COVID bride, I really did have to ask a lot of this place. For one, bridal shops didn't open until about a week before my wedding day (June 2020) and I lived out of town, and they did so much to make sure I could get one last try-on and alteration appointment before I got married. And then they offered a gown storage service which was important as I'd postponed my reception to August 2020. And that was even more useful when I later had to reschedule yet again for September 2021. During that time they spot-cleaned, stuffed, and steamed my dress again so that it looked good as new for my reception day.
I had to do this wedding on a tight budget, and I thought all of their prices were reasonable. The dress, the alterations, the storage, the gown preservation, the accessories, all of these I feel were well priced and more than worth the cost. I'm so happy to be a TWS bride!!! -

If you've met anyone from The Wedding Shoppe, you know what I mean. They are the happiest, kindest, most helpful people in the biz. And that's all before you even step in a dress. Their selection is vast. It can be a little overwhelming if you don't have a "vision" in mind, but even if you don't, it's absolutely not a problem. I showed my stylist a couple Pinterest photos and gave an incredibly vague description (having never tried on dresses before), and I bought the first one she chose. You can tell these girls really have a passion for what they do and who they serve, and are really, REALLY, good at it too. -

I don't normally leave reviews but without a doubt this place deserves one! To start off, I came from California to go shopping for dresses in Michigan with my family. The entire experience stood out WAY above the other 4 shops I visited. It was so fun, the shop was so beautiful, the fittings were personal and private, and I really felt the quality of the dresses were above the other shops. But that isn't why I'm leaving a review. Let me tell you- mistakes happen, and unfortunately it happened to me, but here I am writing this because I think the support and effort this shop put into owning and fixing their mistake was almost hard to believe. I had my dress shipped to California and when it arrived, it was the wrong color. Thankfully I had prepared with plenty of time and they paid to ship it back and send me a new one only a few weeks later no problem. Unfortunately after going through a month of alterations on this new dress- I realized only two weeks before my wedding it was the wrong size! I ordered a size 8, and they sent me a 12--- it never did fit the way I envisioned. Although my heart sank and I was in tears, it only took one phone call with Haley and Danielle to quickly fix everything that happened. I didn't even have to ask or suggest-- they told me how they were going to fix it. Within a week, I received the correct dress which also came with a bride emergency kit, an adorable robe and a hand written apology, had all my alterations paid for, and a refund for the trouble. I really can't express how incredible it was that this team was able to take a terrible situation and make it an easy, not stressful, and quick turn around to fix it. They were always in contact and never seemed upset to deal with what had happened. It truly felt like they were there for me and genuinely didn't want me to worry about my dress on my wedding day, they went so above and beyond to take care of this and because of that my wedding dress and day truly was perfect. There are no words for my gratitude Danielle, Haley, and the rest of your team. I hope you see this and feel how warm my words are when I say you truly are THE BEST. -

I visited The Wedding Shoppe at the end of August in 2020. This was first store I went to for wedding dress shopping. We paid for the weekend reservation and I was able to bring six people with me during the appointment, which was amazing. I worked with Haley and she carefully listened to what I wanted in a dress, honed in on the styles I liked, and was great working with our large entourage. Haley brought me two dresses at the start, and I immediately knew which one was my dress. I tried on the other one first, got a feel for being in a wedding dress, and then tried on the one I loved. It was exactly what I described, Haley nailed it! We tried on a few other dresses, but nothing compared. Haley put me back in my favorite dress, added a perfect belt, and a beaded veil. *Cue the waterworks*. She made finding my dream dress a breeze. My dress came in early in January, which was amazing and gave me plenty of time to get alterations done before my May wedding. The dress was perfect for my Mackinac Island wedding. I received so many compliments and I am so grateful that I went to The Wedding Shoppe! I cannot say enough great things. -

I highly recommend the Wedding Shoppe. I loved my experience, and I loved my dress. They train their team to listen to their clients, and they have a beautiful selection of gowns.
When I purchased my gown, I was not expecting to buy it that day. I was six months into my two-year engagement attending bridal shows for ideas. I saw a blush sequin gown at The Wedding Shoppe booth that I had to try on, so I made an appointment.
The store is beautiful and inviting, with a soft perfume scent. All the staff is very welcoming. I loved the private alcoves for bridal parties to meet, as well. My consultant brought out the dress I had my eye on, which did not meet my expectations. Because my mom and I were already there, we decided I should try on some more dresses. The consultant brought out many styles for me, slowly fine-tuning each selection based on my likes and dislikes. I eventually tried on a dress that was an “almost.” She came back with a gown that I had passed over several times on the rack, saying no to. She encouraged me to give it a shot because she was confident I would love it. Well, she was right. The gown was perfect. The second I put it on, I could see myself walking down the aisle and cried! It was a surreal experience. I decided at that appointment that was it and I bought the dress.
They stored it for me, even extended my storage because my date changed. When I came in for my fittings, the tailor was so helpful and informative. She took her time with me and showed my MOH how to bustle it. When I came to pick it up, it had tissue paper on the inside to help it keep its shape, and the tailor-made sure to let me inspect it one last time.
This was my first and only dress shopping experience. In my entire engagement period, I not once looked at another dress or regretted my purchase. That’s the result of true customer satisfaction from fantastic service! -

I cannot say enough great things about The Wedding Shoppe. Everyone working here is kind, professional, and flat out amazing. I had heard about this shop from my best friend who also had found her dress here. Katy was my consultant and she did a wonderful job with helping me find my dress! She listened to my likes & dislikes, looked at my inspiration photos, found several dresses, and the very first one I tried on was the one I ended up going with! The shop is very clean and they’re handling covid precautions well. They are also very size inclusive, which was an important factor for me. I wanted to be able to walk into a bridal salon and actually be able to try on the samples. Like I said, I cannot say enough great things about this place and it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re buying a dress! -

By far the BEST wedding venue I have ever visited. As a bride, it is easy to become overwhelmed and even scattered during the process of selecting your perfect gown. The Wedding Shoppe is such a haven for brides looking for their perfect gown! Everyone on staff is incredibly helpful, kind, and supportive. During my appointment, my consultant started by listening to my vision for my day, my likes and dislikes, my street style, and my budget. I thought I wouldn't be able to find something with a small budget, but they worked with me and didn't even let me try on anything outside of my set budget! I also loved the huge selection, and how everything is by indy designers so each dress is unique. The Wedding Shoppe was the first bridal store I visited and it turned out to be the only one I needed to visit! When myself, my mom, my grandma, and maid of honor walked into the store, we instantly felt at home and comfortable. We were greeted with several smiles and many enthusiastic hellos. The consultant we worked with was Shawn Spears-Vilk and she was beyond amazing! At first I was feeling very overwhelmed with all of the choices and was having a hard time picking out dresses I wanted to try on. Shawn jumped right in and picked dresses based on the style I had described and pictures of dresses I had showed her. She did such an amazing job at listening to what I did and didn't like, and didn't grab dresses she knew were a no-go for me. At first I was very timid and nervous about the experience, but Shawn very quickly helped me feel comfortable and really helped to lighten the mood. She was so personable and really wanted to get to know me, which was truly wonderful. By the end of the day, she made me feel confident and made my experience beyond incredible. I ended up finding my dress, which was the last one I tried on. Shawn grabbed that one on a whim since it was a bit different and wanted to see how it looked. I ended up falling in love with it! Shawn was amazing!!!
I made this appointment to simply browse & just try on some dresses. I did NOT expect to find my perfect dress! This was only the 3rd bridal shop I went to. The first one I tried on about 3 dresses, none of which were really my style. The 2nd place (another Berkley shop actually) was to try on 1 specific dress & the woman working (subtly?) insulted my hair color. My hair is dyed a deep, but vibrant, red. I heard a lot of good things about The Wedding Shoppe, even from vendors I was considering, so I decided to make an appointment. I am SO glad that I did! From the moment I walked in, everyone was so nice & welcoming. Shawn was so friendly & easy to work with, really listened to what I said & was so helpful in picking out dresses for me to try. It was so fun to chat with her while trying on the different dresses. Especially since we are both animal lovers! Extra brownie points because she actually complimented my hair prior to me telling her about the rude previous bridal shop lady. She truly helped make my experience so enjoyable.
